¹Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.

¹ ای مؤمنین، خداوند را به‌خاطر آنچه انجام داده است، با شادی ستایش کنید. زیرا او شایستهٔ ستایش است.

²Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.

² با چنگ وعود برای او بنوازید و سرود بخوانید.

³Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.

³ برای او سرودی تازه بسرایید، خوب بنوازید و با صدای بلند بخوانید.

⁴For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.

⁴ زیرا کلام خداوند حق، و تمام کارهایش قابل اعتماد است.

⁵He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.

⁵ خداوند عدالت و راستی را دوست می‌دارد. تمامی زمین از محبّت بی‌پایان او سرشار است.

⁶By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

⁶ به امر خداوند آسمانها آفریده شدند و خورشید و ماه و ستارگان با کلام او به وجود آمدند.

⁷He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.

⁷ او آبهای دریاها و اقیانوسهای عمیق را در یک‌‌جا جمع نمود و در انبارها ذخیره کرد.

⁸Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

⁸ ای مردم روی زمین، از خداوند بترسید، و ای مردم جهان، او را احترام نمایید.

⁹For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

⁹ با کلام او دنیا آفریده شد و به امر او هستی به وجود آمد.

¹⁰The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.

¹⁰ خداوند نیّت‌های ملّتها را باطل می‌سازد و نقشه‌های آنها را نقش برآب می‌کند.

¹¹The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

¹¹ امّا مقصود خداوند و نقشه‌های او پایدار و همیشگی است.

¹²Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

¹² خوشا به حال ملّتی که خداوند، خدای ایشان است و خوشا به حال مردمی که خداوند آنها را برگزیده است.

¹³The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

¹³ خداوند از آسمان نگاه می‌کند و همهٔ آدمیان را می‌بیند،

¹⁴From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

¹⁴ و از جایگاه خویش تمام مردم روی زمین را می‌بیند.

¹⁵He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.

¹⁵ او خالق اندیشه‌هاست، و از اسرار دلهایشان و هر آنچه که آنها انجام می‌دهند آگاه است.

¹⁶There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

¹⁶ پادشاه به‌خاطر قدرت سپاهیانش پیروز نمی‌شود؛ و هیچ سربازی به قوّت خود پیروز نمی‌گردد.

¹⁷An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

¹⁷ اسب جنگی برای پیروزی کافی نیست و قدرت آنها نمی‌‌تواند نجات دهد.

¹⁸Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

¹⁸ خداوند مراقب کسانی است که از او می‌ترسند و بر محبّت بی‌پایان او توکّل دارند.

¹⁹To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

¹⁹ او آنها را از مرگ نجات می‌دهد و آنان را در زمان قحطی زنده نگاه می‌دارد.

²⁰Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.

²⁰ امید ما بر خداوند است و او پشت و پناه ما می‌باشد.

²¹For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

²¹ او سبب شادی ماست و ما به نام مقدّس او توکّل داریم. خداوندا، ما به تو امیدواریم، محبّت بی‌پایان تو بر ما باد.

²²Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

²² خداوندا، ما به تو امیدواریم، محبّت بی‌پایان تو بر ما باد.
