¹I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

¹ خداوند را همیشه ستایش می‌کنم و شکر او پیوسته بر زبانم جاری است.

²My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

² او را ستایش می‌کنم، به‌خاطر تمام کارهایی که انجام داده، باشد که افسرده دلان بشنوند و شادمان گردند.

³O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

³ بیایید عظمت خداوند را اعلام کنیم و نام او را ستایش نماییم.

⁴I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

⁴ به حضور خداوند دعا کردم. او دعایم را مستجاب فرمود و مرا از جمیع ترسهایم رهانید.

⁵They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

⁵ رنجدیدگان، به او نگاه کردند و شادمان گشتند، آنان هرگز شرمنده نخواهند شد.

⁶This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

⁶ بینوایان به حضور خداوند دعا کردند و او دعای ایشان را مستجاب فرمود و آنان را از همهٔ مشکلاتشان نجات داد.

⁷The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

⁷ فرشتهٔ خداوند حافظ و رهانندهٔ کسی است که از خداوند می‌ترسد و به او احترام می‌گذارد.

⁸O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

⁸ امتحان کنید و ببینید که خداوند چقدر نیکوست. خوشا به حال کسانی‌که به او پناه می‌آورند.

⁹O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

⁹ ای مؤمنین، خداوند را گرامی بدارید، زیرا کسی‌که او را گرامی بدارد محتاج به چیزی نمی‌شود.

¹⁰The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

¹⁰ شیرهای جوان هم، گاهی گرسنه می‌شوند، امّا کسانی‌که طالب خداوند هستند هرگز محتاج نخواهند شد.

¹¹Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

¹¹ ای فرزندان، بیایید و به من گوش فرا دهید تا راه احترام به خداوند را به شما بیاموزم.

¹²What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

¹² آیا می‌خواهید از زندگی لذّت ببرید؟ آیا طالب عمر طولانی هستید و می‌خواهید که سعادتمند باشید؟

¹³Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

¹³ پس از گفتار شریرانه و دروغ بپرهیزید.

¹⁴Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

¹⁴ از شرارت دست بردارید و کارهای نیک انجام دهید، صلح و صفا را جسته و آن را دنبال نمایید.

¹⁵The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

¹⁵ چشمان خداوند بر نیکان است و گوشهای وی متوجّه فریاد آنهاست.

¹⁶The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

¹⁶ خداوند مخالف مردمان شریر و بدکار است و آثار و خاطرهٔ ایشان را از روی زمین محو می‌کند.

¹⁷The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

¹⁷ وقتی اشخاص مؤمن به حضور خداوند دعا می‌کنند، خداوند دعای ایشان را مستجاب می‌کند و از سختی‌ها و مشکلات نجاتشان می‌دهد.

¹⁸The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

¹⁸ خداوند نزدیک شکسته‌دلان است و آنها را از ناامیدی نجات می‌دهد.

¹⁹Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

¹⁹ رنج و زحمت شخص نیکوکار بسیار است، امّا خداوند او را از همهٔ آنها رهایی می‌دهد.

²⁰He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

²⁰ خداوند از او کاملاً مراقبت می‌کند به طوری که حتّی استخوانی از او شکسته نخواهد شد.

²¹Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

²¹ اشخاص شریر، به شرارت گرفتار می‌شوند، و کسانی‌که از نیکوکاران نفرت دارند، به سزای کارهای خود می‌رسند. خداوند، خادمان خود را نجات می‌دهد و کسانی را که به او پناه می‌برند، می‌بخشد.

²²The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

²² خداوند، خادمان خود را نجات می‌دهد و کسانی را که به او پناه می‌برند، می‌بخشد.
