¹Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.

¹ خدایا، به پادشاه بیاموز که با انصاف تو داوری نماید و انصاف خود را به او عطا فرما،

²He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.

² تا بر قوم تو با عدالت و انصاف حکومت کند و مظلومان را با انصاف دادرسی نماید.

³The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.

³ آنگاه در سراسر مملکت، کامیابی و عدالت به بار خواهد آمد.

⁴He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.

⁴ تا فقیران با انصاف داوری شوند و حاجت نیازمندان برآورده گردد و ظالمان نابود گردند.

⁵They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.

⁵ باشد که قوم تو تا زمانی که آفتاب می‌درخشد و ماه در آسمان است پیوسته تو را پرستش نمایند.

⁶He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.

⁶ پادشاه مانند بارانی باشد که بر مزارع می‌بارد و همچون رگباری که زمین را سیراب می‌کند.

⁷In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.

⁷ در دوران او عدالت و راستی رشد و نمو کند و صلح و کامیابی تا ماه در آسمان باقی است، برقرار باشد.

⁸He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.

⁸ دامنهٔ فرمانروایی او از دریا تا دریا و از رود فرات تا دورترین نقطهٔ جهان باشد.

⁹They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.

⁹ دشمنانش در برابر او زانو زنند و در مقابل او به خاک بیفتند.

¹⁰The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

¹⁰ پادشاهان اسپانیا و جزایر و همهٔ سلاطین شبا و سبا برای او هدایا بیاورند.

¹¹Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.

¹¹ تمام پادشاهان در حضور او تعظیم نمایند و همهٔ ملّتها او را خدمت کنند.

¹²For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.

¹² وقتی نیازمندان تقاضا کنند، آنها را کمک می‌کند و مسکینانی را که بی‌کس‌اند، یاری می‌نماید.

¹³He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.

¹³ بر ضعیفان و نیازمندان رحم می‌کند و آنها را نجات خواهد داد.

¹⁴He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.

¹⁴ آنها را از ظلم ظالم و از شر بدخواهان می‌رهاند، زیرا زندگی آنها در نظرش گرانبهاست.

¹⁵And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.

¹⁵ عمر پادشاه دراز باد! طلای شبا نصیب او گردد. دعای خیر بدرقهٔ راهش، و برکات خدا شامل حالش باد.

¹⁶There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.

¹⁶ باشد که بذر فراوان بر زمین باشد؛ باشد که کوهها از محصول پوشانیده شوند، و مانند لبنان سرشار از میوه شوند، همان‌طور که چمنها پُر از علف و سبزه هستند، شهرهایش پُر از جمعیّت باشند.

¹⁷His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.

¹⁷ نام او تا ابد پاینده و شهرتش همچون آفتاب برقرار باد. همهٔ مردم از او برکت ببینند و او را متبارک خوانند.

¹⁸Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.

¹⁸ متبارک باد خداوند، خدای اسرائیل! او یگانه خدایی است که کارهای شگفت‌انگیز انجام می‌دهد.

¹⁹And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

¹⁹ نام مجید او تا ابد متبارک باد. شکوه و جلال او سراسر جهان را فرا گیرد. آمین! آمین! پایان دعاهای داوود، پسر یَسی.
