¹In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.

¹ خداوندا، به تو پناه آورده‌ام، شرمسارم مکن!

²Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.

² تو عادل هستی، کمک کن و مرا رهایی ده. دعایم را بشنو و مرا نجات ده.

³Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.

³ پناهگاه امن من باش و سنگری محکم برای محافظتم، تو قلعه و پناهگاه من هست.

⁴Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

⁴ خدایا، مرا از دست مردم شریر رهایی ده و از شر اشخاص بدکار و ظالم برهان.

⁵For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.

⁵ چون تو ای خداوند، امید من هستی، از جوانی به تو توکّل نموده‌ام.

⁶By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.

⁶ در تمام دوران عمرم به تو تکیه کرده‌‌ام و از روز تولّدم، تو پشتیبان من بوده‌ای. من همیشه تو را ستایش می‌کنم.

⁷I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.

⁷ زندگی من سرمشق عدّهٔ زیادی گردیده است، چون تو پشتیبان نیرومند من بوده‌ای.

⁸Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.

⁸ تمام روز تو را ستایش می‌کنم. و جلال تو را اعلام می‌نمایم.

⁹Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.

⁹ اکنون که پیر و ناتوانم، مرا از درگاه خود مَران و فراموشم مکن.

¹⁰For mine enemies speak against me; and they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together,

¹⁰ زیرا دشمنانم برای کشتن من با هم توطئه می‌کنند.

¹¹Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there is none to deliver him.

¹¹ و می‌گویند: «خدا او را ترک کرده، پس برویم و او را دستگیر کنیم، زیرا کسی نیست که او را از دست ما رهایی بدهد.»

¹²O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help.

¹² خدایا، از من دور مباش. ای خدای من، بشتاب و مرا کمک کن!

¹³Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.

¹³ دشمنان جانم، شرمنده و نابود گردند و آنانی که در پی آزار من هستند، سرافکنده و پریشان گردند.

¹⁴But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.

¹⁴ امید من همیشه به تو می‌باشد؛ و بیشتر و بیشتر تو را ستایش می‌کنم!

¹⁵My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof.

¹⁵ تمام روز دربارهٔ نجات خود و کارهای نیک تو که تعداد آن از فهم من خارج است، گفت‌وگو خواهم کرد.

¹⁶I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.

¹⁶ با قدرت خداوند، خدای متعال خواهم آمد و برای همه اعلام خواهم کرد که تو یگانه خدای عادل هستی.

¹⁷O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.

¹⁷ از دوران کودکی، تو مرا تعلیم داده‌ای و من هنوز هم کارهای عجیب تو را اعلام می‌کنم.

¹⁸Now also when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.

¹⁸ پس ای خدا، اکنون که پیر شده و موهایم سفید گردیده است، مرا ترک منما، تا قدرت و عجایب تو را برای نسلهای آینده بیان کنم.

¹⁹Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee!

¹⁹ خدایا، عدالت تو تا به آسمانها رسیده است. تو کارهای عجیب انجام داده‌ای، کسی مانند تو وجود ندارد.

²⁰Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.

²⁰ تو انواع سختی‌ها و مشکلات بسیار بر سر من آوردی، امّا دوباره قدرت مرا به من بازمی‌گردانی و مرا از چنگال مرگ نجات خواهی داد.

²¹Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.

²¹ مرا بیشتر از گذشته سربلند خواهی کرد؛ و از من دلجویی خواهی نمود.

²²I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.

²² ای خدای من، با نوای چنگ تو را ستایش خواهم کرد و صداقت تو را خواهم ستود. ای خدای مقدّس اسرائیل، با نوای چنگ خود برای تو سرود خواهم سرایید.

²³My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.

²³ با شادی سرود برای تو خواهم سرایید و خواهم خواند. با تمام وجود خود خواهم خواند، زیرا که تو مرا رهایی داده‌ای. تمام روز دربارهٔ عدالت تو گفت‌وگو خواهم کرد، زیرا همهٔ کسانی‌که می‌خواستند مرا اذیّت و آزار کنند، شرمنده و رسوا شدند.

²⁴My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.

²⁴ تمام روز دربارهٔ عدالت تو گفت‌وگو خواهم کرد، زیرا همهٔ کسانی‌که می‌خواستند مرا اذیّت و آزار کنند، شرمنده و رسوا شدند.
