¹Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

¹,,Luaţi aminte ceruri, şi voi vorbi; Ascultă, pămîntule, cuvintele gurii mele.

²My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:

²Ca ploaia să curgă învăţăturile mele, Ca roua să cadă cuvîntul meu, Ca ploaia repede pe verdeaţă, Ca picăturile de ploaie pe iarbă!

³Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.

³Căci voi vesti Numele Domnului. Daţi slavă Dumnezeului nostru!

⁴He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

⁴El este Stînca; lucrările Lui sînt desăvîrşite, Căci toate căile Lui sînt drepte; El este un Dumnezeu credincios şi fără nedreptate, El este drept şi curat.

⁵They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation.

⁵Ei s'au stricat; Netrebnicia copiilor Lui, este ruşinea lor! Neam îndărătnic şi stricat!

⁶Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?

⁶Pe Domnul îl răsplătiţi astfel! Popor nechibzuit şi fără înţelepciune! Nu este El oare Tatăl tău, care te -a făcut, Te -a întocmit, şi ţi -a dat fiinţă?

⁷Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will show thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.

⁷Adu-ţi aminte de zilele din vechime, Socoteşte anii, vîrstă de oameni după vîrstă de oameni, Întreabă pe tatăl tău, şi te va învăţa, Pe bătrînii tăi, şi îţi vor spune.

⁸When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.

⁸Cînd Cel Prea Înalt a dat o moştenire neamurilor, Cînd a despărţit pe copiii oamenilor, A pus hotare popoarelor, După numărul copiilor lui Israel,

⁹For the LORD's portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

⁹Căci partea Domnului, este poporul Lui, Iacov este partea Lui de moştenire.

¹⁰He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.

¹⁰El l -a găsit într'un ţinut pustiu, Într'o singurătate plină de urlete înfricoşate; L -a înconjurat, l -a îngrijit, Şi l -a păzit ca lumina ochiului Lui.

¹¹As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:

¹¹Ca vulturul care îşi scutură cuibul, Sboară deasupra puilor, Îşi întinde aripile, îi ia, Şi -i poartă pe penele lui:

¹²So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.

¹²Aşa a călăuzit Domnul singur pe poporul Său, Şi nu era niciun dumnezeu străin cu El.

¹³He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;

¹³L -a suit pe înălţimile ţării, Şi Israel a mîncat roadele cîmpului, I -a dat să sugă miere din stîncă, Untdelemnul care iese din stînca cea mai tare,

¹⁴Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape.

¹⁴Untul dela vaci şi laptele oilor, Cu grăsimea mieilor, A berbecilor din Basan şi a ţapilor, Cu grăsimea grîului, Şi ai băut vinul, sîngele strugurelui.

¹⁵But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.

¹⁵Israel s'a îngrăşat, şi a asvîrlit din picior; -Te-ai îngrăşat, te-ai îngroşat şi te-ai lăţit! -Şi a părăsit pe Dumnezeu, Ziditorul lui, A nesocotit Sînca mîntuirii lui,

¹⁶They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger.

¹⁶L-au întărîtat la gelozie prin dumnezei străini, L-au mîniat prin urîciuni;

¹⁷They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.

¹⁷Au adus jertfe dracilor, unor idoli cari nu sînt dumnezei, Unor dumnezei pe cari nu -i cunoşteau, Dumnezei noi, veniţi de curînd, De cari nu se temuseră părinţii voştri.

¹⁸Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.

¹⁸Ai părăsit Stînca cea care te -a născut, Şi ai uitat pe Dumnezeul, care te -a întocmit.

¹⁹And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters.

¹⁹Domnul a văzut lucrul acesta, şi S'a mîniat, S'a supărat pe fiii şi fiicele Lui.

²⁰And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.

²⁰El a zis: ,,Îmi voi ascunde Faţa de ei, Şi voi vedea care le va fi sfîrşitul, Căci sînt un neam stricat, Şînt nişte copii necredincioşi.

²¹They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

²¹Mi-au întărîtat gelozia prin ceea ce nu este Dumnezeu, M'au mîniat prin idolii lor deşerţi; Şi Eu îi voi întărîta la gelozie printr'un popor care nu este un popor. Îi voi mînia printr'un neam fără pricepere.

²²For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

²²Căci focul mîniei Mele s'a aprins, Şi va arde pînă în fundul locuinţei morţilor, Va nimici pămîntul şi roadele lui, Va arde temeliile munţilor.

²³I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them.

²³Voi îngrămădi toate nenorocirile peste ei, Îmi voi arunca toate săgeţile împotriva lor.

²⁴They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.

²⁴Vor fi topiţi de foame, stinşi de friguri, Şi de boli cumplite; Voi trimete în ei dinţii fiarelor sălbatice Şi otrava şerpilor.

²⁵The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs.

²⁵Afară, vor peri de sabie, Şi înlăuntru, vor peri de groază: Şi tînărul şi fata, Şi copilul de ţîţă ca şi bătrînul.

²⁶I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:

²⁶Voiam să zic: ,Îi voi lua cu o suflare`, Le voi şterge pomenirea dintre oameni!

²⁷Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, and lest they should say, Our hand is high, and the LORD hath not done all this.

²⁷Dar Mă tem de ocările vrăjmaşului, Mă tem ca nu cumva vrăjmaşii lor să se amăgească, Şi să zică: ,Mînă noastră cea puternică, Şi nu Domnul a făcut toate aceste lucruri`.

²⁸For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them.

²⁸Ei nu sînt un neam care şi -a perdut bunul simţ, Şi nu -i pricepere în ei.

²⁹O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!

²⁹Dacă ar fi fost înţelepţi, ar înţelege, Şi s'ar gîndi la ce li se va întîmpla.

³⁰How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?

³⁰Cum ar urmări unul singur o mie din ei, Şi cum ar pune doi pe fugă zece mii, Dacă nu i-ar fi vîndut Stînca, Dacă nu i-ar fi vîndul Domnul?

³¹For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.

³¹Căci stînca lor nu este ca Stînca noastră, Vrăjmaşii noştri înşişi sînt judecători în această privinţă.

³²For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter:

³²Ci viţa lor este din sadul Sodomei Şi din ţinutul Gomorei; Strugurii lor sînt struguri otrăviţi, Bobiţele lor sînt amare;

³³Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.

³³Vinul lor este venin de şerpi, Este otravă cumplită de aspidă.

³⁴Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures?

³⁴Oare nu este ascuns lucrul acesta la Mine, Pecetluit în comorile Mele?

³⁵To me belongeth vengeance and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.

³⁵A Mea este răsbunarea şi Eu voi răsplăti, Cînd va începe să le alunece piciorul! Căci ziua nenorocirii lor este aproape, Şi ceea ce -i aşteaptă nu va zăbovi.`` -

³⁶For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.

³⁶Domnul va judeca pe poporul Său, Dar va avea milă de robii Săi, Văzînd că puterea le este sleită, Şi că nu mai este nici rob nici slobod.

³⁷And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted,

³⁷El va zice: ,,Unde sînt dumnezeii lor, Stînca aceea care le slujea de adăpost,

³⁸Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection.

³⁸Dumnezeii aceia cari mîncau grăsimea jertfelor lor, Cari beau vinul jertfelor lor de băutură? Să se scoale, să vă ajute, Şi să vă ocrotească!

³⁹See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.

³⁹Să ştiţi dar că Eu sînt Dumnezeu, Şi că nu este alt dumnezeu afară de Mine; Eu dau viaţă şi Eu omor, Eu rănesc şi Eu tămăduiesc, Şi nimeni nu poate scoate pe cineva din mîna Mea.

⁴⁰For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.

⁴⁰Căci Îmi ridic mîna spre cer, Şi zic: ,Cît este de adevărat că trăiesc în veci,

⁴¹If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.

⁴¹Atît este de adevărat că atunci cînd voi ascuţi fulgerul săbiei Mele, Şi voi pune mîna să fac judecată, Mă voi răzbuna împotriva protivnicilor Mei, Şi voi pedepsi pe cei ce Mă urăsc;

⁴²I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy.

⁴²Sabia Mea le va înghiţi carnea, Şi-Mi voi îmbăta săgeţile de sînge, De sîngele celor ucişi şi prinşi, Din capetele fruntaşilor vrăjmaşului.`

⁴³Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.

⁴³Neamuri, cîntaţi laudele poporului Lui! Căci Domnul răzbună sîngele robilor Săi, El Se răzbună împotriva protivnicilor Săi, Şi face ispăşire pentru ţara Lui, pentru poporul Lui.``

⁴⁴And Moses came and spake all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun.

⁴⁴Moise a venit şi a rostit toate cuvintele cîntării acesteia în faţa poporului; Iosua, fiul lui Nun, era cu el.

⁴⁵And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel:

⁴⁵Dupăce a isprăvit Moise de rostit toate cuvintele acestea înaintea întregului Israel,

⁴⁶And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.

⁴⁶le -a zis: ,,Puneţi-vă la inimă toate cuvintele pe cari vă jur astăzi să le porunciţi copiilor voştri, ca să păzească şi să împlinească toate cuvintele legii acesteia.

⁴⁷For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.

⁴⁷Căci nu este un lucru fără însemnătate pentru voi; este viaţa voastră, şi prin aceasta vă veţi lungi zilele în ţara pe care o veţi lua în stăpînire, dupăce veţi trece Iordanul.

⁴⁸And the LORD spake unto Moses that selfsame day, saying,

⁴⁸În aceeaş zi, Domnul a vorbit lui Moise, şi a zis:

⁴⁹Get thee up into this mountain Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession:

⁴⁹,Suie-te pe muntele acesta Abarim, pe muntele Nebo în ţara Moabului, în faţa Ierihonului; şi priveşte ţara Canaanului pe care o dau în stăpînire copiilor lui Israel.

⁵⁰And die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:

⁵⁰Tu vei muri pe muntele pe care te vei sui, şi vei fi adăugat la poporul tău, după cum Aaron, fratele tău, a murit pe muntele Hor şi a fost adăugat la poporul lui,

⁵¹Because ye trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of MeribahKadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.

⁵¹pentrucă aţi păcătuit împotriva Mea în mijlocul copiilor lui Israel, lîngă apele Meriba, la Cades, în pustia Ţin, şi nu M'aţi sfinţit în mijlocul copiilor lui Israel.

⁵²Yet thou shalt see the land before thee; but thou shalt not go thither unto the land which I give the children of Israel.

⁵²Tu vei vedea doar de departe ţara dinaintea ta; dar nu vei intra în ţara pe cre o dau copiilor lui Israel.`
