¹And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.

¹Iată binecuvîntarea cu care Moise, omul lui Dumnezeu, a binecuvîntat pe copiii lui Israel, înainte de moartea lui.

²And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.

²El a zis: ,Domnul a venit din Sinai, Şi a răsărit peste ei din Seir, A strălucit din muntele Paran, Şi a ieşit din mijlocul zecilor de mii de sfinţi, Avînd în dreapta Lui focul legii.

³Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words.

³Da, El iubeşte popoarele; Toţi sfinţii sînt în mîna Ta. Ei au stătut la picioarele Tale, Au primit cuvintele Tale.

⁴Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob.

⁴Moise ne -a dat legea, Moştenirea adunării lui Iacov.

⁵And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together.

⁵El era împărat în Israel, Cînd se adunau căpeteniile poporului Şi seminţiile lui Israel.

⁶Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few.

⁶Trăiască Ruben şi să nu moară, Şi bărbaţii lui să fie mulţi la număr!`

⁷And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies.

⁷Iată ce a zis despre Iuda: ,Ascultă, Doamne, glasul lui Iuda, Şi adu -l la poporul lui. Puternice să -i fie mînile, Şi să -i fii în ajutor împotriva vrăjmaşilor lui!`

⁸And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah;

⁸Despre Levi a zis: ,Tumim şi urim au fost încredinţaţi bărbatului sfînt, Pe care l-ai ispitit la Masa, Şi cu care Te-ai certat la apele Meriba.`

⁹Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant.

⁹Levi a zis despre tatăl său şi despre mama sa: ,Nu i-am văzut!` Şi despre fraţii lui: ,Nu vă cunosc!` Iar de copii n'a vrut să mai ştie.`` Căci ei păzesc Cuvîntul Tău, Şi ţin legămîntul Tău;

¹⁰They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar.

¹⁰Ei învaţă pe Iacov poruncile Tale, Şi pe Israel legea Ta; Ei pun tămîie subt nările Tale, Şi ardere de tot pe altarul Tău.

¹¹Bless, LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands; smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again.

¹¹Binecuvintează tăria lui, Doamne! Primeşte lucrarea mînilor lui! Frînge şalele protivnicilor lui, Şi vrăjmaşii lui să nu se mai scoale!``

¹²And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the Lord shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.

¹²Despre Beniamin a zis: ,,El este prea iubitul Domnului, El va locui la adăpost lîngă Dînsul. Domnul îl va ocroti totdeauna, Şi se va odihni între umerii Lui.``

¹³And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath,

¹³Despre Iosif a zis: ,,Ţara lui va primi dela Domnul, ca semn de binecuvîntare, Cel mai bun dar al cerului, roua, Cele mai bune ape cari sînt jos,

¹⁴And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,

¹⁴Cele mai bune roade ale soarelui, Cele mai bune roade ale fiecărei luni,

¹⁵And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills,

¹⁵Cele mai bune roduri din munţii cei vechi, Cele mai bune roade de pe dealurile cele vecinice,

¹⁶And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.

¹⁶Cele mai bune roade ale pămîntului şi din tot ce cuprinde el. Bunăvoinţa Celui ce S'a arătat în rug Să vină peste capul lui Iosif, Pe creştetul capului domnului fraţilor lui!

¹⁷His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.

¹⁷El are frumuseţa întîiului născut al taurului; Coarnele lui sînt cum sînt coarnele bivolului; Cu ele va împunge pe toate popoarele, Pînă la marginile pămîntului: Ele sînt zecile de mii ale lui Efraim, Ele sînt miile lui Manase.``

¹⁸And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and, Issachar, in thy tents.

¹⁸Despre Zabulon a zis: ,,Bucură-te, Zabuloane, de alergările tale, Şi tu, Isahar, de corturile tale!

¹⁹They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.

¹⁹Ei vor chema popoarele pe munte; Acolo, vor aduce jertfe de dreptate, Căci vor suge bogăţia mării, Şi comorile ascunse în nisip.``

²⁰And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head.

²⁰Despre Gad a zis: ,,Binecuvîntat să fie cine lărgeşte pe Gad: Gad se odihneşte ca un leu, şi sfîşie la braţe şi capete.

²¹And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments with Israel.

²¹El a ales cea dintîi parte a ţării, Căci acolo stă ascunsă moştenirea legiuitorului; El a mers cu fruntaşii poporului, A adus la îndeplinire dreptatea Domnului, Şi poruncile Lui faţă de Israel.``

²²And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion's whelp: he shall leap from Bashan.

²²Despre Dan a zis: ,,Dan este un pui de leu, Care s'aruncă din Basan.``

²³And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favor, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess thou the west and the south.

²³Despre Neftali a zis: ,,Neftali, sătul de bunăvoinţă, Şi copleşit cu binecuvîntări dela Domnul, Ia în stăpînire partea de apus şi miazăzi!``

²⁴And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil.

²⁴Despre Aşer a zis: ,,Binecuvîntat să fie Aşer între copiii lui Israel! Plăcut să fie fraţilor lui, Şi să-şi moaie piciorul în untdelemn!

²⁵Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.

²⁵Zăvoarele tale să fie de fer şi de aramă, Şi puterea ta să ţină cît zilele tale!``

²⁶There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.

²⁶Nimeni nu este ca Dumnezeul lui Israel, El trece pe ceruri ca să-ţi vină în ajutor, Trece cu măreţie pe nori.

²⁷The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.

²⁷Dumnezeul cel vecinic este un loc de adăpost, Şi subt braţele Lui cele vecinice este un loc de scăpare. El a izgonit pe vrăjmaş dinaintea ta, Şi a zis: ,,Nimiceşte -l.``

²⁸Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.

²⁸Israel este fără frică în locuinţa lui, Isvorul lui Iacov este deoparte Într'o ţară plină de grîu şi de must, Şi cerul lui picură roua.

²⁹Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.

²⁹Ferice de tine, Israele! Cine este ca tine, Un popor mîntuit de Domnul, Scutul care îţi dă ajutor, Şi sabia care te face slăvit? Vrăjmaşii tăi vor face pe prietenii înaintea ta, Şi tu vei călca peste înălţimile lor.``
