¹Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

¹Rămîneţi dar tari, şi nu vă plecaţi iarăş supt jugul robiei.

²Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

²Iată, eu, Pavel, vă spun că, dacă vă veţi tăia împrejur, Hristos nu vă va folosi la nimic.

³For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

³Şi mărturisesc iarăş încă odată oricărui om care primeşte tăierea împrejur, că este dator să împlinească toată Legea.

⁴Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

⁴Voi, cari voiţi să fiţi socotiţi neprihăniţi prin Lege, v'aţi despărţit de Hristos; aţi căzut din har.

⁵For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

⁵Căci noi, prin Duhul, aşteptăm prin credinţă nădejdea neprihănirii.

⁶For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

⁶Căci în Isus Hristos, nici tăierea împrejur, nici netăierea împrejur n'au vreun preţ, ci credinţa care lucrează prin dragoste.

⁷Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?

⁷Voi alergaţi bine: cine v'a tăiat calea ca să n'ascultaţi de adevăr?

⁸This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.

⁸Înduplecarea aceasta nu vine dela Cel ce v'a chemat.

⁹A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

⁹Puţin aluat face să se dospească toată plămădeala.

¹⁰I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.

¹⁰Eu, cu privire la voi, am, în Domnul, încrederea că nu gîndiţi altfel. Dar cel ce vă tulbură, va purta osînda, oricine ar fi el.

¹¹And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.

¹¹Cît despre mine, fraţilor, dacă mai propovăduiesc tăierea împrejur, de ce mai sînt prigonit? Atunci pricina de poticnire a crucii s'a dus.

¹²I would they were even cut off which trouble you.

¹²Şi, schilodească-se odată cei ce vă tulbură!

¹³For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

¹³Fraţilor, voi aţi fost chemaţi la slobozenie. Numai, nu faceţi din slobozenie o pricină ca să trăiţi pentru firea pămîntească, ci slujiţi-vă unii altora în dragoste.

¹⁴For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

¹⁴Căci toată Legea se cuprinde într'o singură poruncă: ,,Să iubeşti pe aproapele tău ca pe tine însuţi.``

¹⁵But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

¹⁵Dar dacă vă muşcaţi şi vă mîncaţi unii pe alţii, luaţi seama să nu fiţi nimiciţi unii de alţii.

¹⁶This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

¹⁶Zic dar: umblaţi cîrmuiţi de Duhul, şi nu împliniţi poftele firii pămînteşti.

¹⁷For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

¹⁷Căci firea pămîntească pofteşte împotriva Duhului, şi Duhul împotriva firii pămînteşti: sînt lucruri protivnice unele altora, aşa că nu puteţi face tot ce voiţi.

¹⁸But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

¹⁸Dacă sînteţi călăuziţi de Duhul, nu sînteţi supt Lege.

¹⁹Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

¹⁹Şi faptele firii pămînteşti sînt cunoscute, şi sînt acestea: preacurvia, curvia, necurăţia, desfrînarea,

²⁰Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

²⁰închinarea la idoli, vrăjitoria, vrăjbile, certurile, zavistiile, mîniile, neînţelegerile, desbinările, certurile de partide,

²¹Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

²¹pizmele, uciderile, beţiile, îmbuibările, şi alte lucruri asemănătoare cu acestea. Vă spun mai dinainte, cum am mai spus, că cei ce fac astfel de lucruri, nu vor moşteni Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu.

²²But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

²²Roada Duhului, dimpotrivă, este: dragostea, bucuria, pacea, îndelunga răbdare, bunătatea, facerea de bine, credincioşia,

²³Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

²³blîndeţa, înfrînarea poftelor. Împotriva acestor lucruri nu este lege.

²⁴And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

²⁴Cei ce sînt ai lui Hristos Isus, şi-au răstignit firea pămîntească împreună cu patimile şi poftele ei.

²⁵If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

²⁵Dacă trăim Duhul, să şi umblăm prin Duhul.

²⁶Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

²⁶Să nu umblăm după o slavă deşartă, întărîtîndu-ne unii pe alţii, şi pizmuindu-ne unii pe alţii.
