¹Let brotherly love continue.

¹Stăruiţi în dragostea frăţească.

²Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

²Să nu daţi uitării primirea de oaspeţi, căci unii, prin ea au găzduit, fără să ştie, pe îngeri.

³Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.

³Aduceţi-vă aminte de cei ce sînt în lanţuri, ca şi cum aţi fi şi voi legaţi cu ei; de cei chinuiţi, ca unii cari şi voi sînteţi în trup.

⁴Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

⁴Căsătoria să fie ţinută în toată cinstea, şi patul să fie nespurcat, căci Dumnezeu va judeca pe curvari şi pe preacurvari.

⁵Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

⁵Să nu fiţi iubitori de bani. Mulţămiţi-vă cu ce aveţi, căci El însuş a zis: ,,Nicidecum n'am să te las, cu nici un chip nu te voi părăsi.``

⁶So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

⁶Aşa că putem zice plini de încredere: ,,Domnul este ajutorul meu, nu mă voi teme: ce mi-ar putea face omul?``

⁷Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.

⁷Aduceţi-vă aminte de mai marii voştri, cari v'au vestit Cuvîntul lui Dumnezue; uitaţi-vă cu băgare de seamă la sfîrşitul felului lor de vieţuire, şi urmaţi-le credinţa!

⁸Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

⁸Isus Hristos este acelaş ieri şi azi şi în veci!

⁹Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

⁹Să nu vă lăsaţi amăgiţi de orice fel de învăţături străine; căci este bine ca inima să fie întărită prin har, nu prin mîncări, cari n'au slujit la nimic celorce le-au păzit. -

¹⁰We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.

¹⁰Noi avem un altar, din care n'au drept să mănînce ceice fac slujbă în cort.

¹¹For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.

¹¹În adevăr, trupurile dobitoacelor, al căror sînge este adus de marele preot în Locul prea sfînt, pentru păcat, ,,sînt arse de tot afară din tabără.``

¹²Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.

¹²De aceea şi Isus, ca să sfinţească norodul cu însuş sîngele Său, a pătimit dincolo de poartă.

¹³Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

¹³Să ieşim dar afară din tabără la El, şi să suferim ocara Lui.

¹⁴For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

¹⁴Căci noi n'avem aici o cetate stătătoare, ci sîntem în căutarea celei viitoare.

¹⁵By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

¹⁵Prin El, să aducem totdeauna lui Dumnezeu o jertfă de laudă, adică, rodul buzelor cari mărturisesc Numele Lui.

¹⁶But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

¹⁶Şi să nu daţi uitării binefacerea şi dărnicia; căci lui Dumnezeu jertfe ca acestea Îi plac.

¹⁷Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

¹⁷Ascultaţi de mai marii voştri, şi fiţi-le supuşi, căci ei priveghează asupra sufletelor voastre, ca unii cari au să dea socoteală de ele; pentruca să poată face lucrul acesta cu bucurie, nu suspinînd, căci aşa ceva nu v'ar fi de niciun folos.

¹⁸Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.

¹⁸Rugaţi-vă pentru noi; căci sîntem încredinţaţi că avem un cuget bun, dorind să ne purtăm bine în toate lucrurile.

¹⁹But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.

¹⁹Mai ales vă rog cu stăruinţă să faceţi lucrul acesta, ca să vă fiu înapoiat mai curînd.

²⁰Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

²⁰Dumnezeul păcii, care, prin sîngele legămîntului celui vecinic, a sculat din morţi pe Domnul nostru Isus, marele Păstor al oilor,

²¹Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

²¹să vă facă desăvîrşiţi în orice lucru bun, ca să faceţi voia Lui, şi să lucreze în noi ce -I este plăcut, prin Isus Hristos. A Lui să fie slava în vecii vecilor! Amin.

²²And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few words.

²²Vă rog, fraţilor, să primiţi bine acest cuvînt de sfătuire, căci v'am scris pe scurt.

²³Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.

²³Să ştiţi că fratelui Timotei i s'a dat drumul. Dacă vine curînd, voi veni împreună cu el să vă văd.

²⁴Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy salute you.

²⁴Spuneţi sănătate tuturor mai marilor voştri şi tuturor sfinţilor. Cei din Italia vă trimet sănătate.

²⁵Grace be with you all. Amen.
