¹Hear ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.

¹Ascultaţi lucrul acesta, preoţi! Ia aminte, casa lui Israel! Şi pleacă urechea, casa împăratului! Căci pe voi vă ameninţă judecata, pentrucă aţi fost o cursă la Miţpa, şi un laţ întins pe Tabor!

²And the revolters are profound to make slaughter, though I have been a rebuker of them all.

²Necredincioşii se afundă în nelegiuire, dar voi avea Eu pedepse pentru toţi!

³I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, and Israel is defiled.

³Cunosc Eu doar pe Efraim, şi Israel nu-Mi este ascuns; ştiu că tu, Efraime, ai curvit, şi că Israel s'a spurcat.

⁴They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD.

⁴Faptele lor nu le îngăduiesc să se întoarcă la Dumnezeul lor, căci un duh de curvie este în inima lor, şi nu cunosc pe Domnul!

⁵And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity: Judah also shall fall with them.

⁵Dar mîndria lui Israel va fi martoră împotriva lui, şi Israel şi Efraim vor cădea prin nelegiuirea lor, şi Iuda va cădea şi el cu ei.

⁶They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD; but they shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them.

⁶Vor merge cu oile şi boii lor să caute pe Domnul, dar nu -L vor găsi nicidecum: căci S'a depărtat din mijlocul lor.

⁷They have dealt treacherously against the LORD: for they have begotten strange children: now shall a month devour them with their portions.

⁷Au fost necredincioşi Domnului, căci au născut copii din curvie; acum îi va înghiţi o lună nouă cu avuţiile lor.

⁸Blow ye the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud at Bethaven, after thee, O Benjamin.

⁸Sunaţi din trîmbiţă la Ghibea, sunaţi din trîmbiţă la Rama! Strigaţi la Bet-Aven! Iacă -i pe urma ta, Beniamine!

⁹Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.

⁹Efraim va fi pustiit în ziua pedepsei: ce vestesc Eu împotriva seminţiilor lui Israel, va veni negreşit!

¹⁰The princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: therefore I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.

¹⁰Căpeteniile lui Iuda sînt ca cei ce mută semnul dela hotare; ca apa Îmi voi vărsa mînia peste ei!

¹¹Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment.

¹¹Efraim este asuprit, zdrobit în judecată, căci a urmat învăţăturile cari -i plăceau.

¹²Therefore will I be unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.

¹²Voi fi ca o molie pentru Efraim, ca o putreziciune (a dinţilor) pentru casa lui Iuda.

¹³When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.

¹³Cînd îşi vede Efraim boala, şi Iuda rănile, Efraim aleargă în Asiria, şi trimete la împăratul Iareb, măcar că împăratul acesta nu poate nici să vă facă sănătoşi, nici să vă lecuiască rănile.

¹⁴For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him.

¹⁴Voi fi ca un leu pentru Efraim, şi ca un pui de leu pentru casa lui Iuda; Eu, da, Eu voi sfîşia, şi apoi voi pleca, voi lua, şi nimeni nu-Mi va răpi prada.

¹⁵I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.

¹⁵Voi pleca, Mă voi întoarce în locuinţa Mea, pînă cînd vor mărturisi că sînt vinovaţi şi vor căuta Faţa Mea. Cînd vor fi în necaz, vor alerga la Mine.
