¹Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

¹,,Iată Robul Meu, pe care -L sprijinesc, Alesul Meu, în care Îşi găseşte plăcere sufletul Meu. Am pus Duhul Meu peste El; El va vesti neamurilor judecata.

²He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.

²El nu va striga, nu-Şi va ridica glasul, şi nu -l va face să se audă pe uliţe.

³A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.

³Trestia frîntă n'o va zdrobi, şi mucul care mai arde încă, nu -l va stinge. Va vesti judecata după adevăr.

⁴He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

⁴El nu va slăbi, nici nu se va lăsa, pînă va aşeza dreptatea pe pămînt; şi ostroavele vor nădăjdui în legea Lui.``

⁵Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

⁵Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeu, care a făcut cerurile şi le -a întins, care a întins pămîntul şi cele de pe el, care a dat suflare celor ce -l locuiesc, şi suflet celor ce merg pe el.

⁶I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

⁶,,Eu, Domnul, Te-am chemat ca să dai mîntuire, şi Te voi lua de mînă, Te voi păzi şi Te voi pune ca legămînt al poporului, ca să fii Lumina neamurilor,

⁷To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

⁷să deschizi ochii orbilor, să scoţi din temniţă pe cei legaţi, şi din prinsoare pe cei ce locuiesc în întunerec.

⁸I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

⁸Eu sînt Domnul, acesta este Numele Meu; şi slava Mea n'o voi da altuia, nici cinstea mea idolilor.``

⁹Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

⁹,,Iată că cele dintîi lucruri s'au împlinit, şi vă vestesc altele noi; vi le spun mai înainte ca să se întîmple.

¹⁰Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.

¹⁰Cîntaţi Domnului o cîntare nouă, cîntaţi laudele Lui pînă la marginile pămîntului, voi cari mergeţi pe mare şi cei ce locuiţi în ea, ostroave şi locuitorii lor!

¹¹Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.

¹¹Pustia şi cetăţile ei să înalţe glasul! Satele locuite de Chedar, să-şi înalţe glasul! Locuitorii stîncilor să sară de veselie: să strige de bucurie din vîrful munţilor!

¹²Let them give glory unto the LORD, and declare his praise in the islands.

¹²Să dea slavă Domnului, şi să vestească laudele Lui în ostroave!``

¹³The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.

¹³Domnul înaintează ca un viteaz, Îşi stîrneşte rîvna ca un om de război; înalţă glasul, strigă, Îşi arată puterea împotriva vrăjmaşilor Săi. -

¹⁴I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.

¹⁴,,Am tăcut multă vreme-,zice Domnul, -am tăcut, şi M'am ţinut. Dar acum voi striga ca o femeie în durerile naşterii, voi gîfăi şi voi răsufla.

¹⁵I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools.

¹⁵Voi pustii munţi şi dealuri, le voi usca toată verdeaţa; voi preface rîurile în ostroave, şi iazurile le voi usca.

¹⁶And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.

¹⁶Voi duce pe orbi pe un drum necunoscut de ei, îi voi povăţui pe cărări neştiute de ei; voi preface întunerecul în lumină, înaintea lor, şi locurile strîmbe în locuri netede: iată ce voi face, şi nu -i voi părăsi.

¹⁷They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.

¹⁷Vor da înapoi, vor fi acoperiţi de ruşine cei ce se încred în idoli ciopliţi şi zic idolilor turnaţi: ,Voi sînteţi dumnezeii noştri!`

¹⁸Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.

¹⁸,Ascultaţi, surzilor, priviţi şi vedeţi, orbilor!`

¹⁹Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD's servant?

¹⁹Cine este orb, dacă nu robul Meu şi surd ca solul Meu, pe care îl trimet? Cine este orb ca prietenul lui Dumnezeu, şi orb ca robul Domnului?

²⁰Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.

²⁰Ai văzut multe, dar n'ai luat seama la ele; ai deschis urechile, dar n'ai auzit:

²¹The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

²¹Domnul a voit, pentru dreptatea Lui, să vestească o lege mare şi minunată.

²²But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.

²²Şi totuş poporul acesta este un popor prădat şi jăfuit! Toţi zac înlănţuiţi în peşteri, şi înfundaţi în temniţe. Sînt lăsaţi de pradă, şi nimeni nu -i scapă! Jăfuiţi, şi nimeni nu zice: ,Dă înapoi!`

²³Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come?

²³Cine dintre voi, însă, pleacă urechea la aceste lucruri? Cine vrea să ia aminte la ele şi să asculte pe viitor?

²⁴Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law.

²⁴Cine a dat pe Iacov pradă jafului, şi pe Israel în mînile jăfuitorilor? Oare nu Domnul, împotriva căruia am păcătuit? Ei n'au voit să umble pe căile Lui, şi n'au ascultat Legea Lui.

²⁵Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart.

²⁵De aceea a vărsat El peste Israel văpaia mîniei Lui, şi grozăviile războiului: războiul l -a aprins din toate părţile şi n'a înţeles; l -a ars, şi n'a luat seama.``
