¹The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.

¹În aceeaş zi, Isus a ieşit din casă, şi şedea lîngă mare.

²And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.

²O mulţime de noroade s'au strîns la El, aşa că a trebuit să Se suie să şadă într'o corabie; iar tot norodul stătea pe ţărm.

³And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

³El le -a vorbit despre multe lucruri în pilde, şi le -a zis: ,,Iată, sămănătorul a ieşit să samene.

⁴And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:

⁴Pe cînd sămăna el, o parte din sămînţă a căzut lîngă drum, şi au venit păsările şi au mîncat -o.

⁵Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:

⁵O altă parte a căzut pe locuri stîncoase, unde n'avea pămînt mult: a răsărit îndată, pentrucă n'a găsit un pămînt adînc.

⁶And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

⁶Dar, cînd a răsărit soarele, s'a pălit; şi, pentrucă n'avea rădăcini, s'a uscat.

⁷And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

⁷O altă parte a căzut între spini: spinii au crescut, şi au înecat -o.

⁸But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

⁸O altă parte a căzut în pămînt bun, şi a dat roadă: un grăunte a dat o sută, altul şaizeci, şi altul treizeci.

⁹Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

⁹Cine are urechi de auzit, să audă.``

¹⁰And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

¹⁰Ucenicii s'au apropiat de El, şi I-au zis: ,,De ce le vorbeşti în pilde?``

¹¹He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

¹¹Isus le -a răspuns: ,,Pentrucă vouă v'a fost dat să cunoaşteţi tainele Împărăţiei cerurilor, iar lor nu le -a fost dat.

¹²For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

¹²Căci celui ce are, i se va da, şi va avea de prisos; iar dela cel ce n'are, se va lua chiar şi ce are.

¹³Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

¹³De aceea le vorbesc în pilde, pentrucă ei, măcar că văd, nu văd, şi măcar că aud, nu aud, nici nu înţeleg.

¹⁴And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

¹⁴Şi cu privire la ei se împlineşte proorocia lui Isaia, care zice: ,Veţi auzi cu urechile voastre, şi nu veţi înţelege; veţi privi cu ochii voştri, şi nu veţi vedea.

¹⁵For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

¹⁵Căci inima acestui popor s'a împietrit; au ajuns tari de urechi, şi-au închis ochii, ca nu cumva să vadă cu ochii, să audă cu urechile, să înţeleagă cu inima, să se întoarcă la Dumnezeu, şi să -i vindec.`

¹⁶But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

¹⁶Dar ferice de ochii voştri că văd; şi de urechile voastre că aud!

¹⁷For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

¹⁷Adevărat vă spun că, mulţi prooroci şi oameni neprihăniţi au dorit să vadă lucrurile pe cari le vedeţi voi, şi nu le-au văzut; şi să audă lucrurile pe cari le auziţi voi, şi nu le-au auzit.

¹⁸Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.

¹⁸Ascultaţi dar ce însemnează pilda sămăntorului.

¹⁹When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

¹⁹Cînd un om aude Cuvîntul privitor la Împărăţie, şi nu -l înţelege, vine Cel rău şi răpeşte ce a fost sămănat în inima lui. Acesta este sămînţa căzută lîngă drum.

²⁰But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;

²⁰Sămînţa căzută în locuri stîncoase, este cel ce aude Cuvîntul, şi -l primeşte îndată cu bucurie;

²¹Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

²¹dar n'are rădăcină în el, ci ţine pînă la o vreme; şi, cum vine un necaz sau o prigonire din pricina Cuvîntului, se leapădă îndată de el.

²²He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

²²Sămînţa căzută între spini, este cel ce aude Cuvîntul; dar îngrijorările veacului acestuia şi înşelăciunea bogăţiilor îneacă acest Cuvînt, şi ajunge neroditor.

²³But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

²³Iar sămînţa căzută în pămînt bun, este cel ce aude Cuvîntul şi -l înţelege; el aduce roadă: un grăunte dă o sută, altul şaizeci, altul treizeci.``

²⁴Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

²⁴Isus le -a pus înainte o altă pildă, şi le -a zis: ,,Împărăţia cerurilor se aseamănă cu un om care a sămănat o sămînţă bună în ţarina lui.

²⁵But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

²⁵Dar, pe cînd dormeau oamenii, a venit vrăjmaşul lui, a sămănat neghină între grîu, şi a plecat.

²⁶But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

²⁶Cînd au răsărit firele de grîu şi au făcut rod, a ieşit la iveală şi neghina.

²⁷So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?

²⁷Robii stăpînului casei au venit, şi i-au zis: ,Doamne, n'ai sămănat sămînţă bună în ţarina ta? De unde are dar neghină?`

²⁸He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

²⁸El le -a răspuns: ,Un vrăjmaş a făcut lucrul acesta.` Şi robii i-au zis: ,Vrei dar să mergem s'o smulgem?`

²⁹But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

²⁹,Nu`, le -a zis el, ,ca nu cumva, smulgînd neghina, să smulgeţi şi grîul împreună cu ea.

³⁰Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

³⁰Lăsaţi-le să crească amîndouă împreună pînă la seceriş; şi, la vremea secerişului, voi spune secerătorilor: ,Smulgeţi întîi neghina, şi legaţi -o în snopi, ca s'o ardem, iar grîul strîngeţi -l în grînarul meu.`

³¹Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

³¹Isus le -a pus înainte o altă pildă, şi le -a zis: ,,Împărăţia cerurilor se aseamănă cu un grăunte de muştar, pe care l -a luat un om şi l -a sămănat în ţarina sa.

³²Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

³²Grăuntele acesta, în adevăr, este cea mai mică dintre toate seminţele; dar, după ce a crescut, este mai mare decît zarzavaturile şi se face un copac, aşa că păsările cerului vin şi îşi fac cuiburi în ramurile lui.``

³³Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

³³Le -a spus o altă pildă, şi anume: ,,Împărăţia cerurilor se aseamănă cu un aluat, pe care l -a luat o femeie şi l -a pus în trei măsuri de făină de grîu, pînă s'a dospit toată plămădeala.``

³⁴All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:

³⁴Isus a spus noroadelor toate aceste lucruri în pilde; şi nu le vorbea de loc fără pildă,

³⁵That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

³⁵ca să se împlinească ce fusese vestit prin proorocul, care zice: ,,Voi vorbi în pilde, voi spune lucruri ascunse dela facerea lumii.``

³⁶Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

³⁶Atunci Isus a dat drumul noroadelor, şi a intrat în casă. Ucenicii Lui s'au apropiat de El, şi I-au zis: ,,Tîlcuieşte-ne pilda cu neghina din ţarină.``

³⁷He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

³⁷El le -a răspuns: ,,Cel ce samănă sămînţa bună, este Fiul omului.

³⁸The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

³⁸Ţarina, este lumea; sămînţa bună sînt fiii Împărăţiei; neghina, sînt fiii Celui rău.

³⁹The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

³⁹Vrăjmaşul, care a sămănat -o, este Diavolul; secerişul, este sfîrşitul veacului; secerătorii, sînt îngerii.

⁴⁰As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

⁴⁰Deci, cum se smulge neghina şi se arde în foc, aşa va fi şi la sfîrşitul veacului.

⁴¹The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

⁴¹Fiul omului va trimete pe îngerii Săi, şi ei vor smulge din Împărăţia Lui toate lucrurile, cari sînt pricină de păcătuire şi pe ceice săvîrşesc fărădelegea,

⁴²And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

⁴²şi -i vor arunca în cuptorul aprins; acolo va fi plînsul şi scrîşnirea dinţilor

⁴³Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

⁴³Atunci cei neprihăniţi vor străluci ca soarele în Împărăţia Tatălui lor. Cine are urechi de auzit, să audă.

⁴⁴Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

⁴⁴Împărăţia cerurilor se mai aseamănă cu o comoară ascunsă într -o ţarină. Omul care o găseşte, o ascunde; şi, de bucuria ei, se duce şi vinde tot ce are, şi cumpără ţarina aceea.

⁴⁵Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

⁴⁵Împărăţia cerurilor se mai aseamănă cu un negustor care caută mărgăritare frumoase.

⁴⁶Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

⁴⁶Şi, cînd găseşte un mărgăritar de mare preţ, se duce de vinde tot ce are, şi -l cumpără.

⁴⁷Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:

⁴⁷Împărăţia cerurilor se mai aseamănă cu un năvod aruncat în mare, care prinde tot felul de peşti.

⁴⁸Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

⁴⁸Dupăce s'a umplut, pescarii îl scot la mal, şed jos, aleg în vase ce este bun, şi aruncă afară ce este rău.

⁴⁹So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

⁴⁹Tot aşa va fi şi la sfîrşitul veacului. Îngerii vor ieşi, vor despărţi pe cei răi din mijlocul celor buni,

⁵⁰And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

⁵⁰şi -i vor arunca în cuptorul aprins; acolo va fi plînsul şi scrîşnirea dinţilor.``

⁵¹Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.

⁵¹,,Aţi înţeles voi toate aceste lucruri?`` i -a întrebat Isus. -,,Da, Doamne``, I-au răspuns ei.

⁵²Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

⁵²Şi El le -a zis: ,,De aceea orice cărturar, care a învăţat ce trebuie despre Împărăţia cerurilor, se aseamănă cu un gospodar, care scoate din vistieria lui lucruri noi şi lucruri vechi.``

⁵³And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.

⁵³După ce a isprăvit Isus pildele acestea, a plecat de acolo.

⁵⁴And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?

⁵⁴A venit în patria Sa, şi a început să înveţe pe oameni în sinagogă; aşa că cei ce -L auzeau, se mirau şi ziceau: ,,De unde are El înţelepciunea şi minunile acestea?

⁵⁵Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

⁵⁵Oare nu este El fiul tîmplarului? Nu este Maria mama Lui? Şi Iacov, Iosif, Simon şi Iuda, nu sînt ei fraţii Lui?

⁵⁶And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

⁵⁶Şi surorile Lui nu sînt toate printre noi? Atunci de unde are El toate lucrurile acestea?``

⁵⁷And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.

⁵⁷Şi găseau astfel în El o pricină de poticnire. Dar Isus le -a zis: ,,Nicăieri nu este preţuit un prooroc mai puţin decît în patria şi în casa Lui.``

⁵⁸And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

⁵⁸Şi n'a făcut multe minuni în locul acela, din pricina necredinţei lor.
