1Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.
1(O cîntare a treptelor.) Din fundul adîncului, Te chem, Doamne!
2Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
2Doamne, ascultă-mi glasul! Să ia aminte urechile Tale la glasul cererilor mele!
3If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
3Dacă ai păstra, Doamne, aducerea aminte a nelegiuirilor, cine ar putea sta în picioare, Doamne?
4But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
4Dar la Tine este iertare, ca să fii temut.
5I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
5Eu nădăjduiesc în Domnul, sufletul meu nădăjduieşte, şi aştept făgăduinţa Lui.
6My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.
6Sufletul meu aşteaptă pe Domnul, mai mult decît aşteaptă străjerii dimineaţa, da, mai mult decît aşteaptă străjerii dimineaţa.
7Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.
7Israele, pune-ţi nădejdea în Domnul, căci la Domnul este îndurarea, şi la El este belşug de răscumpărare!
8And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
8El va răscumpăra pe Israel din toate nelegiuirile lui.
