¹Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.

¹(O cîntare a lui David.) Păzeşte-mă, Dumnezeule, căci în Tine mă încred.

²O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;

²Eu zic Domnului: ,,Tu eşti Domnul meu, Tu eşti singura mea fericire!``

³But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.

³Sfinţii, cari sînt în ţară, oamenii evlavioşi, sînt toată plăcerea mea.

⁴Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.

⁴Idolii se înmulţesc, oamenii aleargă după dumnezei străini, dar eu n'aduc jertfele lor de sînge, şi nu pun numele lor pe buzele mele.

⁵The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.

⁵Domnul este partea mea de moştenire şi paharul meu, Tu îmi îndrepţi sorţul meu.

⁶The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.

⁶O moştenire plăcută mi -a căzut la sorţ, o frumoasă moşie mi -a fost dată.

⁷I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.

⁷Eu binecuvintez pe Domnul, care mă sfătuieşte, căci pînă şi noaptea îmi dă îndemnuri inima.

⁸I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

⁸Am necurmat pe Domnul înaintea ochilor mei: cînd este El la dreapta mea, nu mă clatin.

⁹Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

⁹De aceea inima mi se bucură, sufletul mi se veseleşte, şi trupul mi se odihneşte în linişte.

¹⁰For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

¹⁰Căci nu vei lăsa sufletul meu în locuinţa morţilor, nu vei îngădui ca prea iubitul Tău să vadă putrezirea.

¹¹Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

¹¹Îmi vei arăta cărarea vieţii; înaintea Feţei Tale sînt bucurii nespuse, şi desfătări vecinice în dreapta Ta.
