¹Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

²O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.

²Fiii oamenilor, pînă cînd va fi batjocorită slava mea? Pînă cînd veţi iubi deşertăciunea, şi veţi umbla după minciuni? (Oprire.)

³But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.

³Să ştiţi că Domnul Şi -a ales un om pe care -l iubeşte: Domnul aude cînd strig către El.

⁴Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

⁴Cutremuraţi-vă, şi nu păcătuiţi! Spuneţi lucrul acesta în inimile voastre cînd staţi în pat: apoi tăceţi.

⁵Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.

⁵Aduceţi jertfe neprihănite, şi încredeţi-vă în Domnul.

⁶There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

⁶Mulţi zic: ,,Cine ne va arăta fericirea?`` Eu însă zic: ,,Fă să răsară peste noi lumina Feţei Tale, Doamne!``

⁷Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.

⁷Tu-mi dai mai multă bucurie în inima mea, decît au ei cînd li se înmulţeşte rodul grîului şi al vinului.

⁸I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.

⁸Eu mă culc şi adorm în pace, căci numai Tu, Doamne, îmi dai linişte deplină în locuinţa mea.
