¹How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!

¹(Către mai marele cîntăreţilor. De cîntat pe Ghitit. Un psalm al fiilor lui Core.) Cît de plăcute sînt locaşurile Tale, Doamne al oştirilor!

²My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

²Sufletul meu suspină şi tînjeşte de dor după curţile Domnului, inima şi carnea mea strigă către Dumnezeul cel viu!

³Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.

³Pînă şi pasărea îşi găseşte o casă acolo, şi rîndunica un cuib unde îşi pune puii... Ah! altarele Tale, Doamne al oştirilor, Împăratul meu şi Dumnezeul meu!

⁴Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.

⁴Ferice de ceice locuiesc în Casa Ta! Căci ei tot mai pot să Te laude. -

⁵Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.

⁵Ferice de ceice-şi pun tăria în Tine, în a căror inimă locuieşte încrederea.

⁶Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.

⁶Cînd străbat aceştia Valea Plîngerii, o prefac într'un loc plin de izvoare, şi ploaia timpurie o acopere cu binecuvîntări.

⁷They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.

⁷Ei merg din putere în putere, şi se înfăţişează înaintea lui Dumnezeu în Sion.

⁸O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.

⁸Doamne, Dumnezeul oştirilor, ascultă rugăciunea mea! Ia aminte, Dumnezeul lui Iacov! -(Oprire).

⁹Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.

⁹Tu, care eşti scutul nostru, vezi, Dumnezeule, şi priveşte faţa unsului Tău!

¹⁰For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

¹⁰Căci mai mult face o zi în curţile Tale de cît o mie în altă parte; eu vreau mai bine să stau în pragul Casei Dumnezeului meu, decît să locuiesc în corturile răutăţii!

¹¹For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

¹¹Căci Domnul Dumnezeu este un soare şi un scut, Domnul dă îndurare şi slavă, şi nu lipseşte de niciun bine pe cei ce duc o viaţă fără prihană.

¹²O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

¹²Doamne al oştirilor, ferice de omul care se încrede în Tine!
