¹And it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein;

¹A stane sa, keď vojdeš do zeme, ktorú ti dáva Hospodin, tvoj Bôh, do dedičstva, keď ju zaujmeš dedične a budeš bývať v nej,

²That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name there.

²že vezmeš z prvotiny všetkých plodov pôdy a donesieš v obeť zo svojej zeme, ktorú ti dáva Hospodin, tvoj Bôh, a vložiac do koša pojdeš na miesto, ktoré vyvolí Hospodin, tvoj Bôh, nato, aby tam prebývalo jeho meno.

³And thou shalt go unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto the LORD thy God, that I am come unto the country which the LORD sware unto our fathers for to give us.

³Tak prijdeš ku kňazovi, ktorý bude v tých dňoch, a povieš mu: Vyznávam dnes Hospodinovi, tvojmu Bohu, že som prišiel do zeme, o ktorej prisahal Hospodin našim otcom, že nám ju dá.

⁴And the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD thy God.

⁴A kňaz vezme koš z tvojej ruky a postaví ho pred oltárom Hospodina, tvojho Boha.

⁵And thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:

⁵A odpovieš a riekneš pred Hospodinom, svojím Bohom: Môj otec bol Aramejec na zhynutí, ktorý odišiel dolu do Egypta pohostínil tam zprvu iba v počte niekoľko málo duší a stal sa tam veľkým národom mocným a mnohým čo do počtu.

⁶And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:

⁶A Egypťania nám robili zle a trápili nás a uvalili na nás tvrdú službu otrockú.

⁷And when we cried unto the LORD God of our fathers, the LORD heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labor, and our oppression:

⁷A keď sme kričali na Hospodina, Boha svojich otcov, Hospodin uslyšal náš hlas, videl naše trápenie, našu úmornú prácu a náš útisk.

⁸And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:

⁸A Hospodin nás vyviedol z Egypta silnou rukou a vystretým ramenom a veľkým strachom, znameniami a zázrakmi.

⁹And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.

⁹A doviedol nás na toto miesto a dal nám túto zem, zem, ktorá tečie mliekom a medom.

¹⁰And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O LORD, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the LORD thy God, and worship before the LORD thy God:

¹⁰Preto teraz, hľa, doniesol som prvotinu plodov pôdy, ktorú si mi dal, Hospodine. A necháš to pred Hospodinom, svojím Bohom, a budeš sa klaňať pred Hospodinom, svojím Bohom.

¹¹And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you.

¹¹A budeš sa radovať všetkému tomu dobrému, ktoré ti dal Hospodin, tvoj Bôh, i tvojmu domu, i ty i Levita i pohostín, ktorý bude v tvojom strede.

¹²When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;

¹²Keď už oddelíš všetky desiatky svojej úrody a svojich dôchodkov v treťom roku, v roku to desiatku, a dáš Levitovi, pohostínovi, sirote a vdove, a keď budú jesť v tvojich bránach a nasýtia sa,

¹³Then thou shalt say before the LORD thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them.

¹³povieš pred Hospodinom, svojím Bohom: Vyniesol som, čo bolo sväté, zo svojho domu aj som to dal Levitovi a pohostínovi, sirote a vdove podľa všetkých tvojich prikázaní, ktoré si mi prikázal, neprestúpil som niktorého z tvojich prikázaní ani som nezabudol.

¹⁴I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use, nor given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened to the voice of the LORD my God, and have done according to all that thou hast commanded me.

¹⁴Nejedol som z toho vo svojom smútku ani som neodpratal z toho medzi nečisté ako som ani nedal z toho mŕtvemu. Počúval som na hlas Hospodina, svojho Boha, učinil som všetko tak, ako si mi prikázal.

¹⁵Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

¹⁵Pohliadni z príbytku svojej svätosti, z nebies, a požehnaj svoj ľud, Izraela, i pôdu, ktorú si nám dal, ako si prisahal našim otcom, zem, ktorá tečie mliekom a medom.

¹⁶This day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

¹⁶Dnes, tohoto dňa, ti prikazuje Hospodin, tvoj Bôh, aby si činil tieto ustanovenia a súdy a tedy ich budeš ostríhať a činiť celým svojím srdcom a celou svojou dušou.

¹⁷Thou hast avouched the LORD this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:

¹⁷Dneská si prehlásil o Hospodinovi, že ti bude Bohom, a že budeš chodiť po jeho cestách a ostríhať jeho ustanovenia a jeho prikázania a jeho súdy a že budeš počúvať na jeho hlas.

¹⁸And the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

¹⁸A zase Hospodin prehlásil o tebe dnes, že mu budeš ľudom zvláštneho vlastníctva, jako ti hovoril, a že budeš ostríhať všetky jeho prikázania,

¹⁹And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honor; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the LORD thy God, as he hath spoken.

¹⁹a sľúbil, že ťa vyvýši nad všetky národy, ktoré učinil, na chválu, na slávne meno a na ozdobu, a aby si bol svätým ľudom Hospodinovi, svojmu Bohu, tak ako hovoril.
