¹For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

¹Pre Sion nebudem mlčať a pre Jeruzalem nebudem ticho, dokiaľ nevyjde jeho spravedlivosť ako blesk, a nebude horieť jeho spasenie ako fakľa.

²And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

²A tak uvidia národy tvoju spravedlivosť a všetci kráľovia tvoju slávu, a budú ťa volať novým menom, ktoré vyrieknu ústa Hospodinove.

³Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

³A budeš korunou krásy v ruke Hospodinovej a diadémom kráľovstva v ruke svojho Boha.

⁴Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.

⁴Nepovedia ti viacej, že vraj opustená, ani tvojej zemi už viacej nepovedia spustošená; ale ty sa budeš volať: Chefcí-bah, a tvoja zem: Beula; lebo Hospodin bude mať v tebe záľubu, a tvoja zem bude vydatá jako žena.

⁵For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.

⁵Lebo jako si mládenec vezme pannu za ženu, tak si ťa vezmú tvoji synovia, a jako sa ženích raduje svojej neveste, tak sa bude tebe radovať tvoj Bôh.

⁶I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence,

⁶Na tvojich múroch, Jeruzaleme, ustanovím strážcov, ktorí po celý deň a po celú noc nebudú nikdy mlčať. Vy tedy, ktorí pripomínate Hospodina, nemajte pokoja!

⁷And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

⁷Ale nedajte ani jemu pokoja, dokiaľ pevne nepostaví a dokiaľ neučiní Jeruzalema chválou na zemi!

⁸The LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:

⁸Hospodin prisahal na svoju pravicu a na rameno svojej sily povediac: Nedám viacej tvojho obilia za pokrm tvojim nepriateľom, ani nebudú piť synovia cudzozemca tvojej vínnej šťavy, na ktorej si pracoval.

⁹But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.

⁹Ale tí, ktorí ho spratali, ho budú jesť a budú chváliť Hospodina, a tí, ktorí ju shromaždili, ju budú piť v sieňach mojej svätosti.

¹⁰Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.

¹⁰Prejdite, prejdite bránami, urovnajte cestu prichádzajúcemu ľudu! Nasypte, nasypte hradskú cestu, vysberajte kamenie, vyzdvihnite prápor oproti národom!

¹¹Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

¹¹Hľa, Hospodin dá vyhlásiť až do konca zeme: Povedzte dcére Siona: Hľa, ide tvoja spása, hľa, jeho mzda s ním a jeho dielo pred ním.

¹²And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

¹²A nazovú ich: svätý ľud, vykúpení Hospodinovi; a ty sa budeš volať hľadaným, mestom, ktoré nebude opustené.
