1O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.

2Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
2Ty znáš moje sadanie i moje vstávanie; rozumieš mojej myšlienke zďaleka.
3Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
3Pozoruješ moje chodenie i ležanie a znáš dobre všetky moje cesty.
4For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.
4Lebo ešte ani nemám slova na jazyku, a hľa, Hospodine, ty to vieš všetko.
5Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
5Obkľúčil si ma odzadu i odpredu a položil si na mňa svoju ruku.
6Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
6Je to predivná znalosť, nad môj rozum, tak vysoká, že nemôžem po ňu.
7Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
7Kam by som zašiel od tvojho ducha? Alebo kam by som utiekol pred tvojou tvárou?
8If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
8Keby som vystúpil na nebesia, tam si ty; keby som si postlal v hrobe, hľa, i tam si.
9If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
9Keby som vzal krýdla rannej zory, aby som zaletel a býval pri najďaľšom mori,
10Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
10i tam by ma sprevadila tvoja ruka, a pochytila by ma tvoja pravica.
11If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
11A keby som povedal: Aspoň tma ma zakryje; ale i noc je tebe svetlom vôkol mňa.
12Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
12Ani tma nezatmí pred tebou, a noc ti svieti jako deň, tebe je jedno či tma či svetlo.
13For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
13Lebo tvojím vlastníctvom sú moje ľadviny; usnoval si ma v živote mojej matky.
14I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
14Oslavovať ťa budem preto, že som hrozne a predivne utvorený. Predivné sú tvoje skutky, a moja duša to zná veľmi dobre.
15My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
15Niktorá moja kosť nie je ukrytá pred tebou, ktorý som učinený v skrytosti; utkaný som v hlbinách zeme.
16Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
16Tvoje oči videly môj trup, a do tvojej knihy sú zapísané všetky moje údy jako aj dni, v ktorých boly utvorené, keď ešte nebolo ani jedného z nich.
17How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
17A mne jaké drahé sú tvoje myšlienky, ó, silný Bože, A jaký ohromný je ich počet!
18If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
18Keby som ich chcel spočítať, je ich viac ako piesku. Keď sa prebudím, vždy len som s tebou.
19Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
19Keby si, Bože, zabil bezbožníka a povedal: Mužovia krvi, odstúpte odo mňa!
20For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
20Tí, ktorí hovoria o tebe nešľachetne, berú nadarmo tvoje meno, tvoji odporcovia.
21Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
21Či nie je tak, Hospodine, že nenávidím tých, ktorí teba nenávidia? A tí, ktorí povstávajú proti tebe, sa mi ošklivia.
22I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
22Celou nenávisťou ich nenávidím; stali sa mi nepriateľmi.
23Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
23Prezkúmaj ma, silný Bože, a poznaj moje srdce! Zkús ma a poznaj moje myšlienky
24And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
24a vidz, či je vo mne nejaká zlá cesta, a veď ma cestou večnosti.
