⁴O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?

⁴Ó, Bože, navráť nás a daj svietiť svojej tvári, a budeme spasení!

⁵Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure.

⁵Hospodine, Bože Zástupov, až dokedy budeš horieť hnevom na modlitbu svojho ľudu?

⁶Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves.

⁶Kŕmiš ich chlebom sĺz a napájaš ich slzami z vedra.

⁷Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.

⁷Učinil si nás našim súsedom predmetom sváru, a naši nepriatelia sa nám smejú medzi sebou.

⁸Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.

⁸Bože Zástupov, navráť nás a daj svietiť svojej tvári, a budeme spasení!

⁹Thou preparedst room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land.

⁹Vinič si preniesol z Egypta; zahnal si pohanov a zasadil si ho.

¹⁰The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars.

¹⁰Upratal si pred ním a dal si, aby zapustil svoje korene a naplnil zem.

¹¹She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river.

¹¹Jeho tôňa pokryla vrchy, a jeho révy narástly jako cedry silného Boha.

¹²Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?

¹²Vyhnal svoje letorasty až k moru a svoje výhonky až k veľkej rieke.

¹³The boar out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it.

¹³Prečo si rozboril jeho ohrady, aby ho všetci, ktorí idú cestou, otrhávali?

¹⁴Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;

¹⁴Rozrýva ho diviak z lesa, a spása ho poľná zver.

¹⁵And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself.

¹⁵Bože Zástupov, navráť sa, prosíme! Pohliadni z nebies a vidz a navštív tento vinič!

¹⁶It is burned with fire, it is cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.

¹⁶Zaštíť, čo sadila tvoja pravica, i mládnik, ktorý si zmocnil pre seba.

¹⁷Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself.

¹⁷Vinič je spálený ohňom, srezaný; hynú od žehrania tvojej tvári.

¹⁸So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name.

¹⁸Nech je tvoja ruka nad mužom tvojej pravice, nad synom človeka, ktorého si zmocnil pre seba.

¹⁹Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.

¹⁹A neuhneme zpät od teba, obživ nás, a budeme vzývať tvoje meno.

²⁰Hospodine, Bože Zástupov, navráť nás! Daj svietiť svojej tvári a budeme spasení!
