¹And it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein;

¹Ko prideš v deželo, ki ti jo v dediščino daje GOSPOD, tvoj Bog, in ko si jo prilastiš in boš prebival v njej,

²That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name there.

²tedaj vzemi prvin vseh zemeljskih sadov, ki jih spraviš iz dežele, ki ti jo da GOSPOD, tvoj Bog, in jih deni v koš in pojdi na mesto, ki si ga izvoli GOSPOD, tvoj Bog, da ondi prebiva ime njegovo.

³And thou shalt go unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto the LORD thy God, that I am come unto the country which the LORD sware unto our fathers for to give us.

³In pridi k duhovniku, ki bode v tem času, in mu reci: Priznavam danes GOSPODU, tvojemu Bogu, da sem prišel v deželo, za katero je prisegel GOSPOD našim očetom, da nam jo da.

⁴And the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD thy God.

⁴In duhovnik naj ti vzame koš iz roke ter ga postavi pred oltar GOSPODA, tvojega Boga.

⁵And thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:

⁵In izpregovóri in reci pred GOSPODOM, Bogom svojim: Izgubljen Aramejec je bil oče moj in šel je doli v Egipt in ondi bival kot tujec z majhnim krdelcem, a postal je tam v narod velik, mogočen in mnogoštevilen.

⁶And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:

⁶Egipčani pa so grdo ravnali z nami, stiskali so nas ter nam nakladali težko službo.

⁷And when we cried unto the LORD God of our fathers, the LORD heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labor, and our oppression:

⁷In klicali smo h GOSPODU, Bogu svojih očetov, in GOSPOD je uslišal naš glas in videl našo revo, naš trud in našo stisko,

⁸And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:

⁸in izpeljal nas je GOSPOD iz Egipta z mogočno roko in iztegnjeno ramo, z veliko grozo, z znamenji in s čudeži,

⁹And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.

⁹ter nas je privedel v ta kraj in nam dal to deželo, deželo, v kateri teče mleko in med.

¹⁰And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O LORD, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the LORD thy God, and worship before the LORD thy God:

¹⁰In sedaj, glej, sem prinesel prvine zemeljskih sadov, ki si mi jih dal ti, o GOSPOD. In polóži jih pred GOSPODA, svojega Boga, in moli pred GOSPODOM, Bogom svojim.

¹¹And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you.

¹¹In veséli se vseh dobrot, ki jih je GOSPOD, tvoj Bog, dodelil tebi in tvoji hiši, ti in levit in tujec, ki je pri tebi.

¹²When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;

¹²Ko spraviš docela vse desetine svojih prirastkov v tretjem letu, ki je leto desetinjenja, in daš levitu, tujcu, siroti in vdovi, da jedo znotraj tvojih vrat in se nasitijo:

¹³Then thou shalt say before the LORD thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them.

¹³tedaj reci pred GOSPODOM, Bogom svojim: Odnesel sem sveto darilo iz svoje hiše, tudi sem dal levitu, tujcu, siroti in vdovi po vsej zapovedi tvoji, ki si mi jo ukazal; nisem prestopil tvojih zapovedi, ne jih pozabil.

¹⁴I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use, nor given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened to the voice of the LORD my God, and have done according to all that thou hast commanded me.

¹⁴V žalosti svoji nisem jedel od tega, tudi nisem ničesar tega odnesel, ko sem bil nečist, tudi nisem dal od tega za mrliča; poslušal sem glas GOSPODA, svojega Boga, storil sem vse, kakor si mi zapovedal.

¹⁵Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

¹⁵Poglej doli iz svetega prebivališča svojega, iz nebes, in blagoslovi ljudstvo svoje, Izraela, in deželo, ki si nam jo dal, kakor si bil prisegel očetom našim, deželo, kjer teče mleko in med.

¹⁶This day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

¹⁶Danes ti zapoveduje GOSPOD, tvoj Bog, da izpolnjuj vse te postave in sodbe: hrani jih torej in izpolnjuj iz vsega srca svojega in iz vse duše svoje.

¹⁷Thou hast avouched the LORD this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:

¹⁷Danes si se zarekel GOSPODU, da bodi tvoj Bog in da hočeš hoditi po njegovih potih ter izpolnjevati postave in zapovedi in sodbe njegove in poslušati njegov glas.

¹⁸And the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

¹⁸In GOSPOD se ti je danes zarekel, da mu bodi ljudstvo lastnine, kakor ti je bil obljubil, in da izpolnjuj vse njegove zapovedi,ter da te hoče storiti višjega mimo vseh narodov, ki jih je ustvaril, v hvali in v imenu in v časti, da bi ti bil sveto ljudstvo GOSPODU, Bogu svojemu, kakor je govoril.

¹⁹And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honor; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the LORD thy God, as he hath spoken.

¹⁹ter da te hoče storiti višjega mimo vseh narodov, ki jih je ustvaril, v hvali in v imenu in v časti, da bi ti bil sveto ljudstvo GOSPODU, Bogu svojemu, kakor je govoril.
