1And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandments which I command you this day.
1In Mojzes in starejšine Izraelovi so zapovedali ljudstvu, rekoč: Ohranite vso to zapoved, ki vam jo danes zapovedujem.
2And it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee up great stones, and plaster them with plaster:
2In v dan, ko pridete prek Jordana v deželo, ki ti jo daje GOSPOD, tvoj Bog, si postavi velike kamene in jih pobeli z apnom;
3And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee.
3in nanje napiši vse besede tega zakona ob svojem prehodu; da dospeš v deželo, ki ti jo daje GOSPOD, tvoj Bog, deželo, ki v njej teče mleko in med, kakor ti je obljubil GOSPOD, tvojih očetov Bog.
4Therefore it shall be when ye be gone over Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaster them with plaster.
4Ko torej prestopite Jordan, postavite te kamene, o katerih vam jaz zapovedujem danes, na gori Ebalu, in jih prebelite z apnom.
5And there shalt thou build an altar unto the LORD thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them.
5In ondi zgradi oltar GOSPODU, Bogu svojemu, oltar kamenov, nad katerimi ne boš vihtel železnega orodja.
6Thou shalt build the altar of the LORD thy God of whole stones: and thou shalt offer burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD thy God:
6Iz neobdelanih kamenov zgradi oltar GOSPODA, svojega Boga, in na njem daruj žgalne daritve GOSPODU, Bogu svojemu.
7And thou shalt offer peace offerings, and shalt eat there, and rejoice before the LORD thy God.
7Daruj tudi mirovne žrtve in jih zaužij ondi, in veseli se pred GOSPODOM, svojim Bogom.
8And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.
8In napiši na tiste kamene vse besede tega zakona dobro in razločno.
9And Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of the LORD thy God.
9In Mojzes in duhovniki leviti so govorili vsemu Izraelu, rekoč: Molči in čuj, o Izrael! Danes si postal ljudstvo GOSPODU, Bogu svojemu.
10Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of the LORD thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.
10Poslušaj torej glas GOSPODA, svojega Boga, in izpolnjuj zapovedi in postave njegove, ki ti jih jaz danes zapovedujem.
11And Moses charged the people the same day, saying,
11In Mojzes zapove ljudstvu tisti dan, rekoč:
12These shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when ye are come over Jordan; Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin:
12Tile naj stoje na gori Garizimu, da blagoslovijo ljudstvo, ko prestopite Jordan: Simeon, Levi, Juda, Isahar, Jožef in Benjamin;
13And these shall stand upon mount Ebal to curse; Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
13in tile naj stoje za proklinjanje na gori Ebalu: Ruben, Gad, Aser, Zebulon, Dan in Neftali.
14And the Levites shall speak, and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice,
14In leviti naj izpregovore in reko vsem možem Izraelovim z velikim glasom:
15Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.
15Proklet bodi, kdor naredi rezano ali ulito podobo, kar je gnusoba GOSPODU, tvorina umetnikove roke, in jo postavi na skrivnem! In vse ljudstvo naj odgovori in reče: Amen!
16Cursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.
16Proklet bodi, kdor ne spoštuje očeta svojega in matere svoje! In vse ljudstvo naj reče: Amen!
17Cursed be he that removeth his neighbor's landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.
17Proklet bodi, kdor prestavi svojega bližnjega mejnik! In vse ljudstvo naj reče: Amen!
18Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Amen.
18Proklet bodi, kdor zavede slepega s pota, da blodi! In vse ljudstvo naj reče: Amen!
19Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.
19Proklet bodi, kdor zvija pravico tujcu, siroti in vdovi! In vse ljudstvo naj reče: Amen!
20Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; because he uncovereth his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen.
20Proklet bodi, kdor leži pri ženi svojega očeta, ker je odgrnil svojega očeta odejo! In vse ljudstvo naj reče: Amen!
21Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen.
21Proklet bodi, kdor se peča s kako živino! In vse ljudstvo naj reče: Amen!
22Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.
22Proklet bodi, kdor leži pri svoji sestri, hčeri svojega očeta ali hčeri svoje matere! In vse ljudstvo naj reče: Amen!
23Cursed be he that lieth with his mother in law. And all the people shall say, Amen.
23Proklet bodi, kdor leži pri svoji tašči! In vse ljudstvo naj reče: Amen!
24Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbor secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen.

25Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.

26Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.
