¹I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.

¹Dal sem se iskati njim, ki niso po meni vpraševali; dal sem se najti njim, ki me niso iskali. Narodu, ki se ni imenoval po mojem imenu, sem rekel: Tu sem, tu sem!

²I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;

²Iztezal sem roke svoje ves dan k ljudstvu upornemu, ki hodijo po svojih mislih, po potu, ki ni dober,

³A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick;

³k ljudstvu, ki me vedno dražijo v lice s tem, da darujejo po vrtih in žgo kadilo na opeki,

⁴Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;

⁴ki sede med grobovi in prenočujejo v skritih krajih, ki jedo meso svinjsko in imajo juho od gnusnega mesa v posodah svojih,

⁵Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.

⁵ki govore: Ostani zase, meni se ne približaj, ker svetejši sem od tebe: ti so dim v mojem nosu, ogenj, goreč ves dan.

⁶Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,

⁶Glej, pisano je to pred menoj. Ne bom molčal, ako ne povrnem; da, povrnem njim v nedrje

⁷Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.

⁷krivice vaše in očetov vaših krivice vkup, pravi GOSPOD, ki so kadilo žgali na gorah in me sramotili na gričih; zatorej odmerim najprej njih plačilo njim v nedrje.

⁸Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sakes, that I may not destroy them all.

⁸Tako pravi GOSPOD: Kakor se reče o grozdu, če je soka v njem: Ne pogúbi ga, ker je blagoslov v njem: tako hočem storiti zaradi hlapcev svojih, da ne pogubim vsega ljudstva.

⁹And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.

⁹In storim, da pride seme iz Jakoba in iz Jude dedič mojih gorá; in izvoljenci moji bodo podedovali deželo in hlapci moji bodo prebivali ondi.

¹⁰And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.

¹⁰In Saron bode pašnik čredam in dolina Ahor ležišče govedi za ljudstvo moje, ki me je iskalo.

¹¹But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.

¹¹Vi pa, ki zapuščate GOSPODA, ki zabite goro svetosti moje, ki pripravljate mizo Sreči in natakate pitne dari Usodi:

¹²Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.

¹²vas sem prisodil meču, da se morate vsi pripogniti v zakol, zato ker mi niste odgovorili, ko sem klical, in niste poslušali, ko sem govoril, temuč ste delali, kar je hudo v mojih očeh, in ste izvolili, kar mi ni po volji.

¹³Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:

¹³Zatorej pravi tako Gospod Jehova: Glej, hlapci moji bodo jedli, vi pa boste lačni; glej, hlapci moji bodo pili, vi pa boste žejni; glej, hlapci moji se bodo veselili, vi pa se boste sramovali;

¹⁴Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.

¹⁴glej, hlapci moji bodo peli od srčnega veselja, vi pa boste kričali od srčne bolečine in tulili od dušne bridkosti.

¹⁵And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:

¹⁵In zapustite ime svoje v kletvico izvoljencem mojim; in s smrtjo te udari Gospod Jehova. Hlapcem svojim pa da drugo ime,

¹⁶That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.

¹⁶da se bo blagoslavljal v Bogu resnice [Dobesedno: v Bogu, ki je Amen..], kdor se hoče blagoslavljati na zemlji, in bo prisegel pri Bogu resnice, kdor hoče prisegati na zemlji; kajti pozabijo se stiske prejšnje in bodo skrite pred očmi mojimi.

¹⁷For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

¹⁷Zakaj, glej, jaz ustvarjam nova nebesa in zemljo novo, in o prejšnjem ne bode spomina in ne pride več na misel.

¹⁸But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.

¹⁸Ali veselite in radujte se vekomaj tega, kar jaz ustvarjam. Zakaj, glejte, jaz preustvarjam Jeruzalem v radost in ljudstvo njegovo v veselje.

¹⁹And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

¹⁹In radoval se bom nad Jeruzalemom in veselil se ljudstva svojega, in ne bo se več čul v njem joka glas, ne vpitja glas.

²⁰There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.

²⁰Ne bode odondod več otroka, ki bi živel le malo dni, ne starca, ki bi ne dopolnil svojih dni; kajti kdor umre stoleten, bode še mladenič, a grešnik, sto let star, bo proklet.

²¹And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.

²¹In zidali bodo hiše ter v njih prebivali, in sadili vinograde in jedli njih sad.

²²They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.

²²Ne bodo zidali, kdo drugi pa prebival, ne bodo sadili, kdo drugi pa užival; zakaj kakor so dnevi drevesa, bodo ljudstva mojega dnevi, in rok svojih delo bodo dolgo uživali izvoljenci moji.

²³They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.

²³Trudili se ne bodo brezuspešno in rodili ne bodo otrok za naglo smrt; kajti seme bodo blagoslovljenih od GOSPODA in njih zarod ž njimi.

²⁴And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

²⁴In zgodi se, da odgovorim, preden bodo klicali; ko bodo še govorili, jih uslišim.Volk in jagnje se bosta pasla skupaj in lev bo slamo grizel kakor vol, kači pa bode prah hrana. Ne bodo delali škode, ne pogubno ravnali po vsej gori svetosti moje, pravi GOSPOD.

²⁵The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

²⁵Volk in jagnje se bosta pasla skupaj in lev bo slamo grizel kakor vol, kači pa bode prah hrana. Ne bodo delali škode, ne pogubno ravnali po vsej gori svetosti moje, pravi GOSPOD.
