⁵In ono izhaja kakor ženin iz stanice svoje, raduje se kakor korenjak, da poteče svojo pot.

⁶His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

⁶Od kraja nebes je vzhod njegov in tek njegov do njih roba, in ničesar ni, kar bi se skrilo njegovemu žaru.

⁷The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

⁷Postava GOSPODOVA je popolna, oživlja dušo; pričevanje GOSPODOVO zanesljivo, modrost daje nevednemu;

⁸The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

⁸zapovedi GOSPODOVE so prave, razveseljujejo srce; povelje GOSPODOVO čisto, razsvetljuje oči;

⁹The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

⁹strah GOSPODOV je čist, vekomaj ostane; sodbe GOSPODOVE zgolj resnica, pravične so vse;

¹⁰More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

¹⁰zaželjene bolj nego zlato, da, nego mnogo čistega zlata, in slajše nego med, nego samotok medeni.

¹¹Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

¹¹Služabnik tvoj prejema tudi opomine po njih; kdor jih hrani, plačilo ima veliko.

¹²Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.

¹²A zmote – kdo jih zaznava? I skritih me odveži pregreškov!

¹³Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

¹³Tudi grehov iz prezaupnosti obvaruj služabnika svojega, da ne gospodujejo meni; tedaj bodem brez madeža in čist velike pregrehe.Prijetne naj bodo ust mojih besede in srca mojega premišljevanje pred teboj, o GOSPOD, skala moja in odrešenik moj!
