¹O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

¹ALABAD á Jehová, porque es bueno; Porque para siempre es su misericordia.

²Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

²Digan lo los redimidos de Jehová, Los que ha redimido del poder del enemigo,

³And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.

³Y los ha congregado de las tierras, Del oriente y del occidente, Del aquilón y de la mar.

⁴They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.

⁴Anduvieron perdidos por el desierto, por la soledad sin camino, No hallando ciudad de población.

⁵Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

⁵Hambrientos y sedientos, Su alma desfallecía en ellos.

⁶Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.

⁶Habiendo empero clamado á Jehová en su angustia, Librólos de sus aflicciones:

⁷And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

⁷Y dirigiólos por camino derecho, Para que viniesen á ciudad de población.

⁸Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

⁸Alaben la misericordia de Jehová, Y sus maravillas para con los hijos de los hombres.

⁹For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

⁹Porque sació al alma menesterosa, Y llenó de bien al alma hambrienta.

¹⁰Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;

¹⁰Los que moraban en tinieblas y sombra de muerte, Aprisionados en aflicción y en hierros;

¹¹Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:

¹¹Por cuanto fueron rebeldes á las palabras de Jehová, Y aborrecieron el consejo del Altísimo.

¹²Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.

¹²Por lo que quebrantó él con trabajo sus corazones, Cayeron y no hubo quien los ayudase;

¹³Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.

¹³Luego que clamaron á Jehová en su angustia, Librólos de sus aflicciones.

¹⁴He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.

¹⁴Sacólos de las tinieblas y de la sombra de muerte, Y rompió sus prisiones.

¹⁵Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

¹⁵Alaben la misericordia de Jehová, Y sus maravillas para con los hijos de los hombres.

¹⁶For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.

¹⁶Porque quebrantó las puertas de bronce, Y desmenuzó los cerrojos de hierro.

¹⁷Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

¹⁷Los insensatos, á causa del camino de su rebelión Y á causa de sus maldades, fueron afligidos.

¹⁸Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.

¹⁸Su alma abominó toda vianda, Y llegaron hasta las puertas de la muerte.

¹⁹Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.

¹⁹Mas clamaron á Jehová en su angustia, Y salvólos de sus aflicciones.

²⁰He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

²⁰Envió su palabra, y curólos, Y librólos de su ruina.

²¹Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

²¹Alaben la misericordia de Jehová, Y sus maravillas para con los hijos de los hombres:

²²And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.

²²Y sacrifiquen sacrificios de alabanza, Y publiquen sus obras con júbilo.

²³They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;

²³Los que descienden á la mar en navíos, Y hacen negocio en las muchas aguas,

²⁴These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.

²⁴Ellos han visto las obras de Jehová, Y sus maravillas en el profundo.

²⁵For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.

²⁵El dijo, é hizo saltar el viento de la tempestad, Que levanta sus ondas.

²⁶They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.

²⁶Suben á los cielos, descienden á los abismos: Sus almas se derriten con el mal.

²⁷They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end.

²⁷Tiemblan, y titubean como borrachos, Y toda su ciencia es perdida.

²⁸Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.

²⁸Claman empero á Jehová en su angustia, Y líbralos de sus aflicciones.

²⁹He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.

²⁹Hace parar la tempestad en sosiego, Y se apaciguan sus ondas.

³⁰Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

³⁰Alégranse luego porque se reposaron; Y él los guía al puerto que deseaban.

³¹Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

³¹Alaben la misericordia de Jehová, Y sus maravillas para con los hijos de los hombres.

³²Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.

³²Y ensálcenlo en la congregación del pueblo; Y en consistorio de ancianos lo alaben.

³³He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;

³³El vuelve los ríos en desierto, Y los manantiales de las aguas en secadales;

³⁴A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.

³⁴La tierra fructífera en salados, Por la maldad de los que la habitan.

³⁵He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.

³⁵Vuelve el desierto en estanques de aguas, Y la tierra seca en manantiales.

³⁶And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;

³⁶Y allí aposenta á los hambrientos, Y disponen ciudad para habitación;

³⁷And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.

³⁷Y siembran campos, y plantan viñas, Y rinden crecido fruto.

³⁸He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.

³⁸Y los bendice, y se multiplican en gran manera; Y no disminuye sus bestias.

³⁹Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.

³⁹Y luego son menoscabados y abatidos A causa de tiranía, de males y congojas.

⁴⁰He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.

⁴⁰El derrama menosprecio sobre los príncipes, Y les hace andar errados, vagabundos, sin camino:

⁴¹Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.

⁴¹Y levanta al pobre de la miseria, Y hace multiplicar las familias como rebaños de ovejas.

⁴²The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.

⁴²Vean los rectos, y alégrense; Y toda maldad cierre su boca.

⁴³Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.

⁴³¿Quién es sabio y guardará estas cosas, Y entenderá las misericordias de Jehová?
