¹Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

²Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:

² Ni ma si jama gana goy laalo teeyaŋ se. Ma si seeda no mo ciiti ra ka kamba jama ganayaŋ se ka asariya* siirandi.

³Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.

³ Ni ma si rongome talka se d'i kand'a kalima.

⁴If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.

⁴ Da ni gar ni ibare yeeji wala a farka te boŋdaray, daahir kala ni ma kond'a a se.

⁵If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him.

⁵ Da ni di ni ibare farka go ga kani nga jarawo cire, ni goono ga miila mo ni ma wangu k'a gaa, daahir kala ni m'a gaa ka zumandi.

⁶Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause.

⁶ Ni ma si ciiti siirandi ni talka se saaya kaŋ a kande nga kalima.

⁷Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.

⁷ Ma mooru tangari sanni. Ma si boro kaŋ sinda taali wala adilante* wi mo, zama ay si boro laalo adilandi* bo.

⁸And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.

⁸ Ni ma si me-daabu ta mo, zama me-daabu ga boro kaŋ ga di din ciya danaw, a ga adilantey sanney barmay mo.

⁹Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

⁹ Ni ma si yaw gurzugandi, zama araŋ ga yawtaray daa bay, za kaŋ araŋ mo na yawtaray te Misira laabo ra.

¹⁰And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof:

¹⁰ Jiiri iddu no ni ga ni laabo duma, ni m'a fari albarka margu mo.

¹¹But the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard.

¹¹ Amma jiiri iyyanta ra ni ga naŋ a ma fulanzam, ni ma s'a duma. Ni borey ra alfukaarey ga ŋwa a jarawo gaa. Haŋ kaŋ cindi mo, ganji hamey ma ŋwa. Yaadin no ni ga te da ni reyzin* kalo da ni zeytun* nyaŋey mo.

¹²Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.

¹² Jirbi iddu no ni ga goy. Zaari iyyanta ni ga fulanzam, zama ni yeejo da ni farka ma du fulanzamay, ni koŋŋa izey da yaw mo ma du fulanzamay.

¹³And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

¹³ Haŋ kaŋ ay ci araŋ se kulu, araŋ m'a haggoy. Araŋ ma si de-koy fooyaŋ maa ce, i ma si maa r'ey ni me ra mo.

¹⁴Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.

¹⁴ Jiiro ra sorro hinza no ni ga sududuyaŋ batu haggoy ay se.

¹⁵Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)

¹⁵ Buuru kaŋ sinda dalbu sududuyaŋ bato, ni ga haggoy d'a. Jirbi iyye no ni ga buuru kaŋ sinda dalbu ŋwa, danga mate kaŋ cine ay na ni lordi* nd'a, alwaato kaŋ ay daŋ ni se handu sintina ra, zama a ra no ni fun Misira. Boro kulu ma si bangay ay jine mo kambe koonu.

¹⁶And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labors, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labors out of the field.

¹⁶ Woodin banda, heemar sududuyaŋ bato, ni fari dumi izey kaŋ ni duma fari boŋ-jina. Da mo wiyaŋ banda sududuyaŋ bato jiiro bananta wano, saaya kaŋ ni na ni fari dumi izey kulu wi ka jisi.

¹⁷Three items in the year all thy males shall appear before the LORD God.

¹⁷ Sorro hinza din jiiro ra no ni alborey kulu ma kaa Rabbi Irikoy jine.

¹⁸Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning.

¹⁸ Ni ma si ay sarga kuro salle nda buuru dalbukoy a banda. I ma si naŋ mo ay sarga maano ma kani kala susuba.

¹⁹The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.

¹⁹ Ni laabo wane boŋ-jina, sintinay wano, ni ga kand'a Rabbi ni Irikoyo windo ra. Ni ma si hincin ize hina mo nga nyaŋo wa ra.

²⁰Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

²⁰ Guna, ay ga malayka donton ni jine kaŋ ga ni haggoy fonda ra, a ma konda nin nango kaŋ ay soola.

²¹Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.

²¹ Araŋ ma laakal d'a, araŋ ma hanga jeeri a sanno se, araŋ ma si wang'a se mo, zama a si araŋ hartayaŋey yaafa bo, zama ay maa go a ra.

²²But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.

²² Amma da day ni na hanga jeeri a sanney kulu se, ni maa hay kulu kaŋ ay ci, kal ay ma ciya ibare ni ibarey se, yanjekaari mo ni yanjekaarey se.

²³For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.

²³ Zama ay malayka ga furo ni jine ka konda nin hala Amorancey, da Hittancey, da Perizancey, da Kanaanancey, da Hibancey, da Yebusancey do, ay g'i tuusu mo.

²⁴Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.

²⁴ Ni ma si sombu i de-koyey se, ni ma si may i se, ni ma si i teerey dondon mo, amma ni ma si jaŋ k'i halaci pat! Ma si jaŋ k'i toorey bagu-bagu mo.

²⁵And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

²⁵ Araŋ ma may Rabbi araŋ Irikoyo se. Nga mo ga ni ŋwaaro da ni haro albarkandi, ay ma doori sombu ka kaa ni gaa mo.

²⁶There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.

²⁶ Gunda hasaraw koy si te, waygunu si te ni laabo ra. Ay ga ni jirbey kubandi ni se mo.

²⁷I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.

²⁷ Ay g'ay humburkuma samba ni jine, ay ma dumi cindey kulu laakaley tunandi, ngey kaŋ yaŋ do ni goono ga koy. Ay ma naŋ ni ibarey ma banda bare ni se.

²⁸And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.

²⁸ Ay ga cebeeri-hawlandi zugula samba ni jine, kaŋ yaŋ ga Hibancey da Kanaanancey da Hittancey gaaray ni jine.

²⁹I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.

²⁹ Ay si i gaaray ni jine mo jiiri folloŋ ra bo, zama laabo ma si goro koonu, ganji hamey mo ma baa ka bisa nin gaabi.

³⁰By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.

³⁰ Kayna-kayna no ay g'i gaaray ni jine, hala waati kaŋ ni ga tonton ka laabo tubu.

³¹And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.

³¹ Ay ga ni hirro daŋ za Teeku Cira gaa kala Filistancey teeko gaa, za saaji beero gaa mo kala isa me gaa, zama ay ga laabo borey daŋ ni kamba ra. Ni g'i gaaray mo ni jine.

³²Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.

³² Ni ma si sappe nd'ey wala nd'i toorey.

³³They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee.

³³ I ma si goro ni laabo ra, zama i ma si ni daŋ ni ma zunubi te ay se. Zama da ni may i de-koyey se, daahir a ga ciya ni se hirrimi.
