¹Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

¹БӮБИНЕД, ки Падар ба мо чй гуна муҳаббате ато намудааст, то ки мо фарзандони Худо номида шавем, ва чунин ҳастем. Ҷаҳон моро аз он сабаб намешиносад, ки Ӯро нашинохтааст.

²Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

²Эй маҳбубон! Мо акнун фарзандони Худо ҳастем, вале ҳанӯз маълум нашудааст он чи хоҳем буд. Фақат ҳамин қадарашро медонем, ки дар вақти зоҳир шуданаш монанди Ӯ хоҳем буд, зеро Ӯро, чунон ки ҳаст, хоҳем дид.

³And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

³Ва ҳар кӣ аз Ӯ чунин умед дорад, худро пок менамояд, чунон ки Ӯ пок аст.

⁴Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

⁴Ҳар кӣ гуноҳ мекунад, шариатро мешиканад, ва гуноҳ шикастани шариат аст.

⁵And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

⁵Ва шумо медонед, ки Ӯ барои бардоштани гуноҳҳои мо зоҳир шуд, ва дар Ӯ гуноҳе нест.

⁶Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

⁶Ҳар кй дар Ӯ бимонад, гуноҳ намекунад; ҳар кй гуноҳ мекунад, Ӯро надидааст ва Ӯро нашинохтааст.

⁷Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

⁷Эй фарзандон! Бигзор шуморо ҳеҷ кас фирефта накунад. Касе ки адолатро ба амал меоварад, вай одил аст, чунон ки Ӯ одил аст.

⁸He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

⁸Касе ки гуноҳмекунад, вай аз иблис аст, чункииблис аз ибтидо гуноҳ кардааст. Барои ҳамин ҳам Писари Худо зоҳир шуд, ки аъмоли иблисро вайрон кунад.

⁹Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

⁹Ҳар кӣ аз Худо таваллуд ёфтааст, гуноҳ намекунад, чунки зоти Ӯ дар вай сокин аст; вай гуноҳ намекунад, чунки аз Худо таваллуд ёфтааст.

¹⁰In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

¹⁰Фарзандони Худо ва фарзандони иблис ин тавр шинохта мешаванд: ҳар кӣ адолатро ба амал намеоварад, аз Худо нест, ҳамчунин касе ки бародари худро дӯст намедорад.

¹¹For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

¹¹Зеро паёме ки шумо аз ибтидо шунидаед, чунин аст, ки мо бояд якдитарро дӯст дорем,

¹²Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

¹²На ҳамчун Қобил, ки аз иблис буд ва бародари худро кушт. Ва аз барои чӣ вайро кушт? Аз барои он ки аъмоли худащ бад буд, вале аъмоли бародараш - одилона.

¹³Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

¹³Ҳайрон нашавед, эй бародаронам, агар ҷаҳон аз шумо нафрат кунад.

¹⁴We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

¹⁴Мо медонем, ки аз марг ба ҳаёт гузаштаем, чунки бародаронро дӯст медорем; касе ки бародарашро дӯст намедорад, ҳанӯз дар марг сокин аст.

¹⁵Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

¹⁵Ҳар кӣ аз бародари худ нафрат дорад, қотил аст; ва шумо медонед, ки ҳеҷ як қотил ҳаёти ҷовидоние надорад, ки дар вай сокин бошад.

¹⁶Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

¹⁶Мо муҳаббатро аз он донистем, ки Ӯ ҷони Худро барои мо фидо кард. Мо ҳам бояд ҷонҳои худро барои бародарон фидо кунем.

¹⁷But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

¹⁷Ва агар касе ки дар ҷаҳон осудаҳол аст, бародари худро дар ҳолати мӯҳтоҷй дида, раҳмдилии худро аз вай дареғ медорад, - чй гуна муҳаббати Худо дар ӯ сокин аст?

¹⁸My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

¹⁸Эй фарзандонам! На бо сухан ва забон, балки бо амал ва ростӣ дӯст бидорем.

¹⁹And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

¹⁹Ва аз ин хоҳем донист, ки мо аз ростӣ ҳастем, ва дили худро ба ҳузури Ӯ ором хоҳем кард,

²⁰For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

²⁰Дар ҳар чизе ки дил моро маҳкум менамояд, чунки Худо аз дили мо бузургтар аст ва ҳар чизро медонад.

²¹Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

²¹Эй маҳбубон! Агар дили мо моро маҳкум накунад,мо ба ҳузури Худо ҷуръат дорем,

²²And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

²²Ба ҳар чӣ талаб кунем, азӮмеёбем,чунки аҳкомиӮро риоят мекунем ва он чи ба ҳузури Ӯ мақбул аст, ба амал меоварем.

²³And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

²³Ва ҳукми Ӯ ин аст, ки мо ба исми Писари Ӯ Исои Масеҳ имон оварем ва якдигарро дӯст дорем, чунон ки Ӯ ба мо ҳукм кардааст.

²⁴And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

²⁴Ва касе ки аҳкоми Ӯро нигоҳ медорад, вай дар Ӯ сокин аст, ва Ӯ дар вай. Ва ин ки Ӯ дар мо сокин аст, аз он Рӯҳе медонем, ки Ӯ ба мо ато намудааст.
