¹The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

¹НОМАИ аввалро навиштаам, эй Теофилус, дар бораи ҳар он чи Исо ба амал овард ва таълим дод аз ибтидо,

²Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

²То ҳамон рӯзе ки ба василаи Рӯҳулқудс ба ҳаввориёни баргузидаи Худ дастурҳо дод ва ба осмон бурда шуд;

³To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

³Ба онҳо низ, баъд аз азобу укубаташ, бо далелҳои бисьёр Худро зинда нишон дод ва дар давоми чиҳил рӯз ба онҳо зоҳир шуда, дар бораи Малакути Худо сухан гуфг,

⁴And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

⁴Ва онҳоро ҷамъ карда, чунин амр фармуд: сЕрусалимро тарк накунед, балки мунтазири он ваъдаи Падар бошед, ки аз Мак шунидаед;

⁵For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

⁵Зеро ки Яҳьё бо об таъмид медод, лекин шумо, баъд аз чанд рӯз, бо Руҳулқудс таъмид хоҳед ёфт».

⁶When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

⁶Пас, онҳое ки ҷамъ шуда буданд, ба Ӯ савол дода, гуфтанд: сХудовандо, оё дар ҳамин вакт салтанатро бар Исроил аз нав барқарор хоҳӣ кард?»

⁷And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

⁷Ба онҳо гуфт: сКори шумо нест, ки замонҳо ва мӯҳлатҳоеро, ки Падар бо қудрати Худ муқаррар намудааст, бидонед;

⁸But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

⁸Аммо вақге ки Рӯҳулқудс бар шумо нозил шавад, қувват Хоҳед ёфт ва дар Ерусалим ва дар тамоми Яҳудо ва Сомария ва то ақсои дуньё шоҳидони Ман хоҳед буд».

⁹And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

⁹Ҳамин ки инро гуфт, боло бурда шуд, ва онҳо менигаристанд, ва абре Ӯро аз пеши назари онҳо гирифта бурд.

¹⁰And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

¹⁰Чун Ӯ боло мебаромад, ва онҳо ба осмон менигарисТанд, ногоҳ ду марди сафедпӯш назди онҳо пайдо шуданд

¹¹Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

¹¹Ва гуфтанд: «Эй мардони Ҷалил! Чаро ин ҷо истода, сӯи осмон нигаронед? Ҳамин Исо, ки аз пеши шумо ба осмон боло бурда шуд, чӣ тавре ки Ӯро сӯи осмон равона дидед, боз ҳамон тавр хоҳад баргапхг».

¹²Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.

¹²Он гоҳ онҳо аз кӯҳи Зайтун, ки дар наздикии Ерусалим ба масофати роҳравии рӯзи шанбе воқеъ аст, сӯи Ерусалим равона шуданд

¹³And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.

¹³Ва, чун расиданд, ба болохонае баромаданд, ки дар он ҷо Петрус ва Яъқуб, Юҳанно ва Андриёс, Филиппус ва Тумо, Барталмо ва Матто, Яъкуб ибни Ҳалфой ва Шимъӯни Ғаюр ва Яҳудо ибни Яъқуб иқомат доштанд;

¹⁴These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

¹⁴Ҳамаи онҳо якдилона ба дуо машғул буданд, ва ҳамроҳашон занон ва Марьям модари Исо ва бародарони Ӯ низ буданд.

¹⁵And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)

¹⁵Дар он рӯзҳо Петрус дар миёни шогирдон, ки дар ҷамъомад тақрибан саду бист нафар буданд, бархоста, гуфт:

¹⁶Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.

¹⁶«Эй бародарон! Мебоист он Навишта иҷро мешуд, ки Рӯҳулкудс бо забони Довуд дар бораи Яҳудо пешгуй кард, ки вай роҳнамо буд ба онҳое ки Исоро дастгир карданд;

¹⁷For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

¹⁷«Вай ба мо мансуб гардида, насибе дар ин ҳизмат ёфт;

¹⁸Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.

¹⁸«Ва инак, вай ба музди бадкирдории худ мазраае харид ва бар он рӯйнокӣ афтода, шикамаш кафид, ва тамоми амъояш берун шуд;

¹⁹And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.

¹⁹«Хабари ин ба гӯши ҳамаи сокинони Ерусалим расид, ва он мазраа ба забони онҳо Ҳақалдамо, яъне "Мазрааи хушщ" номида шудааст.

²⁰For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.

²⁰«Зеро ки дар китоби Забур навишта шудааст: "Манзили вай хароб гардад ва касе дар он сокин нашавад"; ва: "Ҷоху ҷалоли варо дигаре бигирад".

²¹Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,

²¹«Бинобар ин аз касоне ки ҳамроҳи мо буданд дар тамоми он муддате ки Исои Худованд бо мо рафтуомад дошт,

²²Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

²²«Яъне аз вақти таъмиди Яҳьё" то рӯзе ки Ӯ аз пеши мо боло бурда шуд, - яке аз онҳо бояд бо мо шоҳиди эҳьёиӮ бишавад».

²³And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

²³Ва ду нафарро: Юсуфро, ки Барсаббо ном дошта, лақабаш Юстус буд, ва Матьёсро пешниҳод карданд

²⁴And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,

²⁴Ва дуо карда, гуфтанд: «Ту, эй Худованд, ки Орифулқалб ҳастӣ, бинамо якеро, ки аз ин ду баргузидай,

²⁵That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

²⁵«То ки вай насиби ин хизмат ва ҳаввориятро пайдо кунад, ки Яҳудо аз он маҳрум шуда, ба макони худ рафтааст»,

²⁶And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

²⁶Қуръае барои онҳо партофтанд, ва қуръа ба номи Матьёс баромад, ва ӯ ба ёздаҳ ҳаввориён мансуб гащт.
