¹Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.

¹ДАР он замон подшоҳ Ҳиродус дасти тааддй бар баъзе аз аҳли калисо дароз кард, то ки онҳоро азоб диҳад.

²And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.

²Ва Яъкуб, бародари Юҳанноро ба шамшер кушт;

³And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)

³Чун дид, ки ин ба яҳудиён писанд афтод, Петрусро низ дастгир кард, ки ин дар айеми иди фатир буд,

⁴And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.

⁴Ва ӯро гирифта, ба зиндон андохт ва ба чор дастаи чоргонаи сарбозон супурд, ки ӯро посбонӣ кунанд, зеро ният дошт, ки баъд аз иди фисҳ ӯро назди қавм берун оварад.

⁵Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

⁵Пас, Петрусро дар зиндон нитоҳ медоштанд, аммо аҳли калисо барои ӯ назди Худо пайваста дуо мегуфтанд.

⁶And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.

⁶Дар ҳамон шабе ки Ҳиродус касди берун овардани ӯро дошт, Петрус, бастаи ду занҷир, дар миёни ду сарбоз ҳобида буд, ва дарбонон зиндонро посбонй мекарданд.

⁷And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.

⁷Ва инак, фариштаи Худованд назди ӯ ҳозир шуд, ва рӯшноӣ дар он ҳона дураҳшид; ба паҳлуи Петрус зада, ӯро бедор кард ва гуфт: «Зуд барҳез». Дарҳол занҷирҳо аз дастҳояш афтод.

⁸And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.

⁸Фаришта ба ӯ гуфт: «Камари худро бибанд ва кафш бар пой кун». Ва чунин кард. Сонӣ ба ӯ гуфт: «Чомаи худро бипӯш ва аз қафои ман биё».

⁹And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.

⁹Берун омада, аз қафои вай равона шуд, ва надонист, ки он чи аз фаришта содир шуд, воқеист, балки гумон мекард, ки ин рӯъёест.

¹⁰When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him.

¹⁰Аз пеши посбонони аввал ва дуюм гузашта, ба дарвозаи оҳанине ки ба сӯи шаҳр мебурд, расиданд, ва он ҳуд аз худ пеши рӯи онҳо кушода шуд; онҳо берун рафта, аз як кӯча гузаштанд, ки ногаҳон фаришта аз пеши ӯ нопадид шуд.

¹¹And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the LORD hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

¹¹Петрус ба худ омада, гуфт: «Акнун яқин донистам, ки Худованд фариштаи Худро фиристода, маро аз дасти Ҳиродус ва аз он чи кавми яҳудӣ чашм доштанд, раҳо кард».

¹²And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying.

¹²Инро аз фикри худ гузаронда, ба ҳонаи Марьям, модари Юҳанно, ки лақабаш Марқӯс буд, омад, ки дар он ҷо касони бисьёре ҷамъ шуда, дуо мегуфтанд.

¹³And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda.

¹³Вақте ки дарвозаро кӯфт, Рудо ном канизе баромад, то ки воз кунад,

¹⁴And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate.

¹⁴Ва овози Петрусро шиноҳта, ба ҷои он ки дарвозаро кушояд, аз шодӣ ба ҳона давида даромад ва хабар дод, ки Петрус назди дарвоза истодааст.

¹⁵And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel.

¹⁵Ба вай гуфтанд: «Магар девона шудаӣ?» Аммо вай ба гапаш исрор кард. Гуфтанд: «Ин фариштаи ӯст».

¹⁶But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished.

¹⁶Аммо Петрус пайваста тақтақ мекард; вакте ки кушоданд, ӯро дида, дар ҳайрат афтоданд.

¹⁷But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place.

¹⁷Ӯ бо дасташ ишорат кард, ки хомӯш бошанд, ва ба онҳо нақл кард, ки чӣ гуна Худованд ӯро аз зиндон берун овард; ва гуфт: «Инро ба Яъқуб ва ба бародарон ҳабар диҳед». Сонӣ берун баромада, ба ҷои дигар рафт.

¹⁸Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers, what was become of Peter.

¹⁸Чун субҳ дамид, изтироби буаурге дар байни сарбозон афтод, ки Петрусро чй шуд,

¹⁹And when Herod had sought for him, and found him not, he examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judaea to Caesarea, and there abode.

¹⁹Ва Ҳиродус, чун ӯро талабида наёфт, посбононро истинтоқ карда, фармуд, ки онҳоро ба катл расонанд, ва ҳудаш аз Яҳудо ба Қайсария рафта, дар он ҷо иқомат кард.

²⁰And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus the king's chamberlain their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the king's country.

²⁰Ҳиродус ба мардуми Сӯр ва Сидӯн бисьёр ҳашмгин буд, ва онҳо, маслиҳатро ба як ҷо монда, назди ӯ омаданд ва Блостусро, ки нозири ҳобгоҳи подшоҳ буд, ба тарафи худ кашида, талаби сулҳ карданд, чунки диёрашон аз кишвари подшох асбоби маишат меёфт.

²¹And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them.

²¹Дар рӯзи таъиншуда Ҳиродус либоси шоҳонадар бар кард ва бар маснади ҳукумат нишаста, ба онҳо нутқ кард,

²²And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.

²²Ва мардум нидо карда гуфтанд, ки ин овози Худост, на овози инсон.

²³And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

²³Лекин баногоҳ фариштаи Худованд ӯро зад, зеро ки ӯ Худоро ҷалол надод, ва кирмҳо ӯро хӯрданд, ва ӯ мурд.

²⁴But the word of God grew and multiplied.

²⁴Аммо каломи Худо торафт бештар интишор меёфт.

²⁵And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark.

²⁵Барнаббо ва Шоул, баъд аз иҷрои хизматашон, аз Ерусалим баргаштанд, ва Юҳанноро, ки лақабаш Марқӯс буд, ҳамроҳи худ оварданд.
