¹And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.

²And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.

²Мардуми некӯкор Истефанусро дафн карда, барои ӯ мотами азиме гирифтанд.

³As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.

³Аммо Шоул аҳли калисоро азоб медод ва хона ба хона гашта, мардон ва занонро кашола карда мебурду дар зиндон меандохт.

⁴Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.

⁴Дар ин миён онҳое ки пароканда шуда буданд, ба ҳар ҷое ки мерафтанд, аз калом башорат медоданд.

⁵Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.

⁵Чунончи, Филиппус ба як шахри Сомария омада, ба онҳо Масеҳро мавъиза мекард;

⁶And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.

⁶Мардум ба суҳанони Филиппус якдилона гӯш медоданд ва мӯъҷизотеро, ки ба амал меовард, мешуниданд ва медиданд;

⁷For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.

⁷Зеро ки арвоҳи палид аз бисьер мубгалоён наъра кашида берун мешуданд, ва мафлуҷону лангони бисьере шифо меёфтанд,

⁸And there was great joy in that city.

⁸Ва шодии азиме дар он шаҳр падид омад.

⁹But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:

⁹Шимъӯн ном марде дар он шаҳр буд, ки пештар ҷодугарӣ мекард ва мардуми Сомарияро дар ҳайрат меандоҳт ва худро шаҳси бузурге вонамуд месоҳт;

¹⁰To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.

¹⁰Хдма, аз хурд то калон, ба ӯ гӯш андохта, мегуфтанд: «Ин шахс қуввати азими Худост».

¹¹And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.

¹¹Аз он сабаб ба ӯ гӯш меандохтанд, ки ӯ муддати дарозе онҳоро бо ҷодугарии худ ба ҳайрат меовард.

¹²But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

¹²Лекин вакте ки ба башорати Филитшус дар бораи Малакути Худо ва исми Исои Масеҳ имон оварданд, мардон ва занон таъмид гирифтанд.

¹³Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

¹³Худи Шимъӯн низ имон овард ва таъмид гирифт ва ҳамеша ҳамроҳи Филиппус буд; ва аз дидани аломот ва мӯъҷизоти азиме ки ба амал меомад, дар ҳайрат мемонд.

¹⁴Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

¹⁴Ҳаввориёне ки дар Ерусалим буданд, чун шуниданд, ки аҳли Сомария каломи Худоро қабул кардаанд, Петрус ва Юҳанноро назди онҳо фиристоданд,

¹⁵Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:

¹⁵Ва чун омаданд, барои онҳо дуо гуфтанд, то ки Рӯҳулкудсро қабул кунанд:

¹⁶(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

¹⁶Зеро ки Руҳ ҳанӯз бар ҳеҷ кадоме аз онҳо нозил нашуда буд, балки фақат ба исми Исои Худованд таъмид ёфта буданд;

¹⁷Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

¹⁷Пас, дастҳои худро бар сари онҳо гузоштанд, ва онҳо Рӯҳулқудсро кабул карданд.

¹⁸And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,

¹⁸Шимъӯн, чун дид, ки бо дастгузории ҳаввориён Рӯҳулқудс ато мешавад, ба онҳо пул овард

¹⁹Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.

¹⁹Ва гуфт: сИн кудратро ба ман низ бидиҳед, то ки ба ҳар кас даст гузорам, Рӯҳулкудсро қабул кунад».

²⁰But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

²⁰Аммо Петрус ба вай гуфт: «Бигзор пулат бо ту нест шавад, чунки ту гумон кардаӣ, ки атои Худоро ба бадали пул бихарӣ;

²¹Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.

²¹«Туро аз ин чиз насибе ва баҳрае нест, зеро ки дилат дар ҳузури Худо рост намебошад;

²²Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

²²«Акнун аз ин шарорати худ тавба кун ва ба Худо дуо гӯй: шояд, ин қасди дилат омурзида шавад;

²³For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.

²³«Зеро мебинам, ки пур аз заҳраи талх ва гирифтори қайди шарорат ҳастӣ».

²⁴Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the LORD for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.

²⁴Шимъӯн дар ҷавоб гуфт: сШумо барои ман ба Худованд дуо гӯед, то ки чизе аз он чи гуфтед, ба ман рӯй надиҳад».

²⁵And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.

²⁵Онҳо, пас аз он ки шаҳодат доданд ва қаломи Худовандро мавъиза карданд, ба Ерусалим баргаштанд ва дар бисьёре аз деҳоти Сомария аз Инҷил башорат доданд.

²⁶And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.

²⁶Фариштаи Худованд ба Филитшус гуфт: «Барҳез ва ба тарафи ҷануб, ба роҳе ки аз Ерусалим сӯи Ғазза меравад, ва роҳи биёбон аст, равона шав».

²⁷And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,

²⁷Бархост ва равона шуд. Ва инак, шаҳси ҳабашӣ, хоҷасаро ва кабири Кандока маликаи Хабаш, нигаҳбони тамоми хазинаи вай, ки ба Ерусалим барои ибодат омада буд,

²⁸Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.

²⁸Ба ватан бармегашт ва бар аробаи худ нишаста, китоби Ишаъёи набиро мехонд.

²⁹Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.

²⁹Рӯҳ ба Филиппус гуфт: «Наздик биё ва ба он ароба ҳамроҳ шав».

³⁰And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?

³⁰Филиппус ба он ҷо давида, шунид, ки китоби Ишаъёи набиро мехонад. Гуфт: «Оё мефахмӣ он чиро, ки мехонй?»

³¹And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.

³¹Гуфт «Чй гуна фаҳмида метавонам, агар касе ба ман роҳнамой накунад?» Ва аз Филиттус хоҳиш кард, ки ба ароба савор шуда, бо ӯ бинипшнад.

³²The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:

³²Порчае ки аз Навиштаҳо мехонд, ин буд: "Мисли гӯсфанде Ӯро ба забҳ бурданд, ва мисли баррае ки назди пашмтарошаш безабон аст, Ӯ ҳамчунон даҳони Худро воз накард;

³³In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.

³³"Дар таҳқири Ӯ инсофро аз Ӯ гирифтанд, Зеро ки ҳаети Ӯ аз замин қатъ карда шуд".

³⁴And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?

³⁴Он хоҷасаро ба Филиппус гуфт: «Аз гу саволедорам, ки набӣ инро дар ҳаққи кӣ мегӯяд? Оё дар ҳаққи худаш 6 дар ҳаққи каси дигаре?»

³⁵Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

³⁵Он гоҳ Филиппус даҳони худро кушод ва аз ҳамон Навишта сар карда, ба ӯ аз Исо башорат дод.

³⁶And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

³⁶Дар ин миён, дар аснои роҳ, онҳо ба обе расиданд, ва хоҷасаро гуфт: «Инак, об; ба таъмид гирифтанам чӣ чиз монеъ мешавад?»

³⁷And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

³⁷Филиппус гуфт: «Агар аз таҳти дил имон оварда бошӣ, ҷоиз аст». Вай дар ҷавоб гуфт: «Имон дорам, ки Исои Масеҳ Писари Худост».

³⁸And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

³⁸Сонӣ фармон дод, ки аробаро нигоҳ дорад, ва ҳар ду, Филиппус ва хоҷасаро, ба об фуромаданд, ва ӯро таъмид дод.

³⁹And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

³⁹Вақте ки аз об баромаданд, Рӯҳи Худованд Филиппусро даррабуд, ва хоҷасаро дигар ӯро надида, роҳи худро бо хурсандй давом дод.

⁴⁰But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

⁴⁰Аммо Филигагус дар Ашдӯд пайдо шуд ва дар ҳамаи шаҳрҳо гашта, башорат медод, то даме ки ба Қайсария расид.
