¹In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

²The same was in the beginning with God.

²Он дар ибтидо бо Худо буд.

³All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

³Ҳама чиз ба воситаи Ӯ ба вуҷуд омад, ва ҳар он чи вуҷуд ёфт, бе Ӯ вуҷуд наёфт.

⁴In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

⁴Дар Ӯ ҳаёт буд, ва ҳаёт нури одамиён буд.

⁵And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

⁵Ва нур дар торикй медурахшид, ва торикӣ онро фаро нагирифт.

⁶There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

⁶Шахсе аз ҷониби Худо фиристода шуда буд, ки Яҳьё ном дошт.

⁷The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

⁷Вай барои шоҳидӣ омад, ки бар Нур шаҳодат диҳад, то ки ҳама ба воситаи вай имон оваранд.

⁸He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

⁸Вай он Нур набуд, балки омад, ки бар Нур шаҳодат Диҳад. ,

⁹That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

⁹Он Нури ҳақиқӣ, ки ҳар одамро мунаввар мегардонад, ба ҷаҳон омаданӣ буд.

¹⁰He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

¹⁰Ӯ дар ҷаҳон буд, ва ҷаҳон ба воситаи Ӯ ба вуҷуд омад, ва ҷаҳон Ӯро нашиноҳт.

¹¹He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

¹¹Ӯ назди мансубони Худ омад, ва мансубопаш Ӯро қабул накарданд.

¹²But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

¹²Лекин ба онҳое ки Ӯро қабул карданд ва ба исми Ӯ имон оварданд, кудрат дод, ки фарзандони Худо гарданд,

¹³Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

¹³Ки на аз хун, на аз хоҳиши ҷисм, на аз хоҳиши марде, балки аз Худо таваллуд ефтаанд.

¹⁴And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

¹⁴Ва Калом ҷисм гардид ва дар миёни мо сокин шуд, пур аз файз ва ростӣ; ва мо ҷалоли Ӯро дидем, ки ҷалоли шоистаи Писари ягонаи Падар аст.

¹⁵John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

¹⁵Ва Яҳьё бар Ӯ шаҳодат дод, ва нидо карда, мегуфт: «Ин аст Он ки дар бораи Ӯ гуфтам: "Он ки пас аз ман меояд, пеш аз ман будааст, зеро ки бар ман муқаддам буд"».

¹⁶And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

¹⁶Ва аз пуррагии Ӯ ҳамаи мо файз бар файз пайдо кардем;

¹⁷For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

¹⁷Зеро ки шариат ба воситаи Мусо ато шуд, аммо файз ва ростӣ ба воситаи Исои Масеҳ омад.

¹⁸No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

¹⁸Худоро ҳаргиз касе надидааст; Писари ягонае ки дар оғӯши Падар аст, Ӯро зоҳир кард.

¹⁹And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

¹⁹Ва ин аст шаҳодати Яҳьё дар вакте ки яҳудибн аз Ерусалим коҳинон ва левизодагонро фиристоданд, то аз вай пурсанд, ки: «Ту кистӣ?»

²⁰And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.

²⁰Вай иқрор кард ва инкор накард, балки зътироф намуда, гуфт: «Ман Масеҳ нестам».

²¹And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.

²¹Аз вай пурсиданд: «Пас кистӣ? Оё Ильёс ҳастй?» Гуфт: «Не». «Оё он набӣ ҳастӣ?» Ҷавоб дод: «Не».

²²Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?

²²Он гоҳ ба вай гуфтанд: «Пас кистӣ? То ба он касоне ки моро фиристодаанд, ҷавоб диҳем: дар бораи худ чй мегӯӣ?»

²³He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

²³Гуфт: «Ман овози нидокунанде дар биёбонам: роҳи Худовандро рост кунед, чунон ки Ишаъёи набӣ гуфтааст».

²⁴And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.

²⁴Он фнристодагон аз фарисиён буданд;

²⁵And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?

²⁵Ва оиҳо аз вай пурсиданд: «Агар ту на Масеҳ ҳастӣ, на Ильёс ва на он набй, пас барои чӣ таъмид медиҳӣ?»

²⁶John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;

²⁶Яҳьё дар ҷавоби онҳо гуфт: «Ман бо об таъмид медпҳам; лекин дар миёни шумо Касе истодааст, ки шумо Ӯро намеппшосед:

²⁷He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.

²⁷«Ӯ Он аст, кя пас аз ман меояд, аммо пеш аз ман будааст; ва ман сазовори он нестам» ки даволи пойафзоли Ӯро воз куиам».

²⁸These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.

²⁸Ин дар Байт-Абора, ки он тарафи Ӯрдун аст, дар ҷое ки Яҳьё таъмид медод, воқеъ шуд.

²⁹The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

²⁹Фардои он, Яҳьё Исоро дид, ки ба ҷбниби вай меояд, ва гуфт: «Инак Барраи Худо, ки гуноҳи ҷаҳонро мебардорад;

³⁰This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.

³⁰«Ин аст Он ки ман дар бораи Ӯ гуфтам, ки: "Пас аз ман Марде меояд, ки пеш аз ман будааст, зеро ки Ӯ бар ман муқаддам буд";

³¹And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.

³¹«Ман Ӯро намешиноҳтам; лекин барои он ки Ӯ ба Исроил зоҳир гардад, омадам ва бо об таъмид медодам».

³²And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

³²Ва Яҳьё шаҳодат дода, гуфт: «Ман Рӯҳро дидам, ки чун кабӯтаре аз осмон нозил шуда, бар Ӯ қарор гирифт;

³³And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

³³«Маи Ӯро намешиноҳтам; лекин Он ки маро фиристод, то бо об таъмид диҳам, ба мап гуфт: "Бар ҳар кас бубинй, ки Рӯҳ нозил шуда, бар Ӯ қарор гирифт, Ӯ Ҳамон аст, ки бо Рӯҳулқудс таъмид медиҳад".

³⁴And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

³⁴«Ва ман дида, шаҳодат додам, ки Ӯ Писари Худост».

³⁵Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;

³⁵Фардои он, боз Яҳьё бо ду шогирди худ истода буд.

³⁶And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

³⁶Чун дид, ки Исо аз он ҷо мегузарад, гуфт: «Инак Барраи Худо».

³⁷And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

³⁷Он ду шогирд суханони вайро пгунида, аз паи Исо равона шуданд.

³⁸Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?

³⁸Исо ба ақиб нигоҳ карда, дид, ки онҳо меоянд, гуфт: «Чӣ меҳоҳед?» Ба Ӯ гуфтанд: «Раббӣ», яъне: «эй Ӯстод, дар куҷо истиқомат дорй?»

³⁹He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.

³⁹Ӯ гуфт: «Биёед ва бубинед». Онҳо омаданд ва диданд, ки дар куҷо истиқомат дорад, ва он рӯз назди Ӯ бимонданд. Тақрибан соати даҳум буд.

⁴⁰One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.

⁴⁰Яке аз он ду нафар, ки суҳанони Яҳьёро шунида, аз паи Ӯ омада буданд, Андриёс, бародари Шимъӯни Петрус буд.

⁴¹He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

⁴¹Вай аввал бародари худ Шимъӯнро ёфта, гуфт: «Мо Масеҳро, яъне Христосро ёфтем».

⁴²And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

⁴²Вайро назди Исо овард. Исо ба вай нигариста, гуфт: «Ту Шимъӯн, писари Юнус ҳастй;акнун номат Кифо ҳоҳад шуд, ки маънояш Петрус аст».

⁴³The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.

⁴³Фардои ин, Исо ҳост ба Ҷалил равад, ва Филиппусро ёфта, гуфт: «Аз ақиби Ман биё».

⁴⁴Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

⁴⁴Филиппус аз Байт-Сайдо, ҳамшаҳрии Андриёс ва Петрус буд.

⁴⁵Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

⁴⁵Филиппус Натанъилро ёфта, гуфт: «Мо Он касеро, ки Мусо дар бораи Ӯ дар Таврот навиштааст, ва анбиё зикр кардаанд, ёфтаем, ки Исо, писари Юсуф, аз Носира аст».

⁴⁶And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

⁴⁶Вале Натаьъил ба вай гуфт: «Магар мумкин аст, ки аз Носира чизи некӯе пайдо шавад?» Филиппус ба вай гуфт: «Биё ва бубин».

⁴⁷Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

⁴⁷Исо чун дид, ки Натанъил сӯи Ӯ меояд, дар бораи вай гуфт: «Инак, исроилии ҳақиқй, ки дар вай макре нест».

⁴⁸Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

⁴⁸Натанъил ба Ӯ гуфт: «Маро аз куҷо мешиносӣ?» Исо дар ҷавоби вай гуфт: «Пеш аз он ки Филиппус туро даъват кунад» ҳангоме ки дар зери дарахти анҷир будӣ, Ман туро дидам».

⁴⁹Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

⁴⁹Натанъил дар ҷавоби Ӯ гуфт: «Эй Ӯстод! Ту Писари Худой, Ту Подшоҳи Исроил ҳастй».

⁵⁰Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.

⁵⁰Исо дар ҷавоби вай гуфт: «Ту имон овардй, зеро ба ту гуфтам, ки: "Ман туро дар зери дарахти анҷир дидам"; чизҳои бузургтар аз ин хохӣ дид».

⁵¹And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

⁵¹Ва ба вай гуфт: «Ба ростй, ба ростӣ ба шумо мегӯям: минбаъд осмонро кушода ва фариштагони Худоро, ки бар Писари Одам сууд ва нузул мекунанд, хоҳед дид».
