¹After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

¹ПАС аз он яҳудиёнро иде буд, ва Исо ба Ерусалим омад.

²Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.

²Дар Ерусалим дар назди дарвозаи Меш ҳавзе ҳаст, ки ба ибронӣ Байт-Ҳасдо мегӯянд, ва он панҷ равоқ дорад:

³In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

³Дар он ҷо шумораи зиёди беморон, кӯрон, лангон ва шалон хобида, мунтазири ҳаракати об буданд;

⁴For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

⁴Зеро фариштаи Худо вақтвақт ба ҳавз фуромада, обро ҳаракат медод, ва ҳар кӣ дар асиои ҳаракати об аввал ба ҳавз дарояд, аз ҳар касалие ки дошт, шифо меёфт.

⁵And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

⁵Ва касе дар он ҷо буд, ки сию ҳашт сол боз гирифтори беморӣ буд.

⁶When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

⁶Чун Исо вайро хобида дид ва донист, ки муддати дарозе бемор аст, ба вай гуфт: «Оё мехоҳӣ шифо ёбй?»

⁷The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

⁷Бемор ҷавоб дод: «Эй оғо! Касе надорам, ки чун об ба ҳаракат ояд, маро дар ҳавз андозад; пеш аз он ки ман оям, дигаре худро дар ҳавз меандозад».

⁸Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

⁸Исо ба вай гуфт: «Бархез, бистаратро бардор ва бирав».

⁹And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

⁹Хдмон дам бемор шифо ёфт ва бистарашро бардошта, ба роҳ даромад. Он рӯз рӯзи шанбе буд.

¹⁰The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.

¹⁰Яҳудиён ба касе ки шифо ёфта буд, гуфтанд: «Имрӯз шанбе аст, ва ҷоиз нест, ки бистари худро бардорӣ».

¹¹He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.

¹¹Вай дар ҷавоби онҳо гуфт: «Он Кас, ки маро шифо дод, ба ман гуфт: "Бистаратро бардор ва бирав"».

¹²Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?

¹²Аз вай пурсиданд: «Кист Он Кас, ки ба ту гуфт: "Бистаратро бардор ва бирав"?»

¹³And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.

¹³Лекин он ки шифо ёфта буд, намедонист, киӮ кист; зеро ки дар он ҷо издиҳоми калоне буд, ва Исо нопадид шуда рафт.

¹⁴Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

¹⁴Пас аз он Исо вайро дар маъбад ёфта, гуфт: «Инак, шифо ёфтаӣ; дигар гуноҳе накун, то ки ба вазъияти бадтаре дучор нашавӣ».

¹⁵The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole.

¹⁵Он мард рафта, ба яҳудиён гуфт, ки шифодиҳандаи ман Исо мебошад.

¹⁶And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.

¹⁶Аз ин сабаб яҳудиён Исоро таъқиб мекарданд ва Ӯро мехостанд ба қатл расонанд, зеро ки ин корро дар рӯзи шанбе карда буд.

¹⁷But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

¹⁷Исо дар ҷавоби онҳо гуфт: «Падари Ман то кунун кор мекунад, ва Ман низ кор мекунам».

¹⁸Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

¹⁸Аз ин сабаб бештар қасд карданд, ки Ӯро ба қатл расонанд, зеро ки на танҳо шанберо рмоят намекард, балки Худоро низ Падари Худ гуфта, Худро бо Худо баробар медонист.

¹⁹Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

¹⁹Исо дар ҷавоби онҳо гуфт: «Ба ростӣ, ба ростй ба шумо мегӯям: Писар наметавонад аз Худ чизе ба амал оварад, магар он чи бубинад, ки Падар ба амал меоварад: зеро ки он чи Ӯ мекунад, Писар низ мекунад.

²⁰For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

²⁰«Зеро ки Падар Писарро дӯст медорад ва ҳар он чи Худаш мекунад, ба Писар нишон медиҳад; ва корҳои бузургтар аз ин ҳам ба Ӯ нишон хоҳад дод, то ки шумо тааҷҷуб намоед.

²¹For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.

²¹«Зеро, ҳамчунон ки Падар мурдагонро эҳьё мекунад ва зинда мегардонад, Писар низ ончунон ҳар киро, ки хоҳад, зинда мегардонад.

²²For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

²²«Зеро ки Падар бар ҳеҷ кас доварӣ намекунад, балки тамоми довариро ба Писар супурдааст,

²³That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

²³«То ки ҳама Писарро эҳтиром кунанд, ончунон ки Падарро эҳтиром мекунанд. Касе ки Пксарро эҳтиром накунад, Падарро, ки Фиристандаи Ӯст, эҳтиром накардааст.

²⁴Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

²⁴«Ба ростй, ба ростй ба шумо мегӯям: ҳар кй каломи Маро бишнавад ва ба Фиристандаи Ман имон оварад, ҳаёти ҷовидонӣ дорад ва ба доварй намеояд, балки аз марг ба ҳаёт гузаштааст.

²⁵Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

²⁵«Ба ростй, ба ростй 5а шумо мегӯям: соате мерасад, ва аллакай расидааст, ки мурдагон овози Писари Худоро мешунаванд, ва ҳар кӣ бишнавад, зинда гардад.

²⁶For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

²⁶«Зеро, ҳамчунон ки Падар дар Худ ҳаёт дорад, ба Писар низ ончунон ато кардааст, ки дар Худ ҳаёт дошта бошад;

²⁷And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

²⁷«Ва ба Ӯ қудрат бахшидааст, ки доварй кунад, зеро ки Ӯ Писари Одам аст.

²⁸Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

²⁸«Ва аз ин тааҷҷуб накунед: зеро соате мерасад, ки ҳамаи онҳое ки дар қабр мебошанд, овози Ӯро хоҳанд шунид,

²⁹And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

²⁹«Ва берун хоҳанд омад - некӯкорон барои қиёмати ҳаёт ва бадкорон барои қиёмати доварй.

³⁰I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

³⁰«Ман аз Худ чизеба амал оварда наметавонам. Ончунон ки мешунавам» доварй мекунам, ва доварии Ман одил аст, зеро ки толиби иродаи Худ не, балки иродаи Падаре ҳастам, ки Маро фиристодааст.

³¹If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.

³¹«Агар Ман бар Худ шаҳодат диҳам, шаҳодати Ман рост нест:

³²There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.

³²«Дигаре ҳаст, ки бар Ман шаҳодат медиҳад, ва Ман медонам, ки шаҳодате ки вай бар Ман медиҳад, рост аст;

³³Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth.

³³«Шумо назди Яҳьё фиристодед; вай ба ростй шаҳодат дод.

³⁴But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that ye might be saved.

³⁴«Аммо Ман шаҳодати одамро қабул намекунам, вале ин суханонро мегӯям, то ки шумо наҷот ёбед.

³⁵He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.

³⁵«Вай чароғе буд, ки месӯхт ва медурахшид; ва шумо хостед, ки соате ба нури вай шодӣ кунед.

³⁶But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.

³⁶«Лекин Ман шаҳодате дорам, ки аз шаҳодати Яҳьё бузургтар аст: зеро корҳое ки Падар ба Ман ато кардааст, то анҷом диҳам, яъне ин корҳое ки Ман мекунам, бар Ман шаҳодат медиҳанд, ки Падар Маро фиристодааст.

³⁷And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

³⁷«Ва Худи Падар, ки Маро фиристод, бар Ман шаҳодат додааст, ва шумо ҳаргиз на овози Ӯро шунидаед ва на сурати Ӯро дидаед,

³⁸And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.

³⁸«Ва каломи Ӯ дар дилҳои шумо ҷой надорад, чунки шумо ба Он Касе ки Ӯ фиристодааст, имон намеоваред.

³⁹Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

³⁹«Шумо Навиштаҳоро тадқиқ мекунед, зеро гумон доред, ки ба воситаи онҳо ҳаёти човидонӣ пайдо мекунед, вале онҳо бар Ман шаҳодат медиҳанд.

⁴⁰And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

⁴⁰«Ва шумо намехоҳед назди Ман биёед, то ки ҳаёт ёбед.

⁴¹I receive not honour from men.

⁴¹«Ҷалолро аз мардум қабул намекунам.

⁴²But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.

⁴²«Лекин шуморо мешиносам: дар дили ҳуд муҳаббати Худоро надоред.

⁴³I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

⁴³«Ман ба исми Падари Худ омадаам, ва Маро қабул намекунед, ва агар дигаре ба исми худаш биёяд, вайро қабул хоҳед кард.

⁴⁴How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?

⁴⁴«Шумо чй тавр метавонед имон оваред, Дар сурате ки ҷалол аз якдигар металабед, лекин ҷалолеро, ки аз Худои ягона аст, толиб нестед?

⁴⁵Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.

⁴⁵«Гумон накунед, ки Ман назди Падар бар шумо даъвое хоҳам кард: даъвогар бар шумо Мусо мебошад, ки ба вай умед бастаед.

⁴⁶For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me.

⁴⁶«Зеро ки агар шумо ба Мусо имон медоштед, ба Ман ҳам имон меовардед, чунки вай дар бораи Ман навиштааст.

⁴⁷But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

⁴⁷«Модоме ки шумо ба навиштаҳои вай имон надоред, ба суханони Ман чй гуна имон хоҳед овард?»
