¹When therefore the LORD knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,

¹ЧӮН Исои Худованд дарьёфт, ки ба гуши фарисиён овозае расидааст, ки Ӯ, назар ба Яҳьё, бештар шогирд пайдо мекунад ва таъмид медиҳад, -

²(Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)

²Гарчанде ки Худи Исо не, балки шогирдонаш таъмид медоданд, -

³He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.

³Яҳудоро тарк карда, боз ба Ҷалил рафт.

⁴And he must needs go through Samaria.

⁴Ва Ӯро лозим буд аз Сомария гузашта равад.

⁵Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.

⁵Пас ба яке аз шаҳрҳои Сомария омад, ки Суҳар ном дошта, дар наздикии қитъаи замине буд, ки Яъқуб ба писари худ Юсуф дода буд;

⁶Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.

⁶Ва дар он ҷо чоҳи Яъқуб буд, ва Исо аз сафар монда шуда, бар сари он чоҳ нишаст, ва тақрибан соати шашум буд,

⁷There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.

⁷Ки зане аз сомариён барои об кашидан омад. Исо ба вай гуфт: «Ба Ман барои нӯпшдан об деҳ».

⁸(For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)

⁸Зеро ки шогирдонаш барои харидани хӯрок ба шаҳр рафта буданд.

⁹Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

⁹Зани сомарӣ ба Ӯ гуфт: «Чй тавр Ту, ки яҳудӣ ҳастй, аз ман об мехоҳӣ, дар сурате ки ман зани сомариам? Зеро ки яҳудиён бо сомариён муошират надоранд».

¹⁰Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

¹⁰Исо дар ҷавоби вай гуфт: «Агар атои Худоро медонистӣ, ва кист, ки ба ту мегӯяд: "Ба Ман барои нӯшидан об деҳ", холо худат аз Ӯ хоҳиш мекардй, ва Ӯ ба ту оби ҳает медод».

¹¹The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?

¹¹Зан ба Ӯ гуфт: «Эй оғо! Ту зарфе надорӣ, ки обкашӣ, ва ҷоҳ чукур аст: пас, аз куҷо оби ҳаёт дорй?

¹²Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

¹²«Магар Ту аз падари мо Яъқуб бузургтар хастӣ, ки ин чоҳро ба мо дод, ва худаш ва фарзандонаш ва чорвояш аз он менӯшиданд?»

¹³Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:

¹³Исо дар ҷавоби вай гуфт: «Ҳар кӣ аз ин об нӯшад, боз ташна монад;'

¹⁴But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

¹⁴«Лекин ҳар кӣ аз обе ки Ман ба вай медиҳам, нӯшад, абадан ташна намонад, балки обе ки Ман ба вай медиҳам, дар вай чашмаи обе гардад, ки то ҳаёти ҷовидонй меҷӯшад».

¹⁵The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.

¹⁵Зан ба Ӯ гуфт: «Эй ого! Ба ман аз он об деҳ, то ки дигар ташна намонам ва ба ин ҷо барои об кашидан наоям».

¹⁶Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.

¹⁶Исо ба вай гуфт: «Бирав ва шавҳаратро бихон ва ба' ин ҷо биё».

¹⁷The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:

¹⁷Зан дар ҷавоб гуфт: «Ман шавҳар надорам». Исо ба вай гуфт: «Ту рост гуфтӣ, ки шавҳар надорӣ;

¹⁸For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

¹⁸«Зеро ки панҷ шавҳар доштӣ, ва касе ки алҳол дорӣ, шавҳари ту нест; ин суханат рост аст».

¹⁹The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

¹⁹Зан ба Ӯ гуфт: «Эй оғо! Мебинам, ки Ту набӣ ҳастй;

²⁰Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.

²⁰^Падарони мо дар болои ин кӯҳ парастиш мекарданд, вале шумо мегӯед, ки ҷое ки дар он бояд парастиш кард, дар Ерусалим мебошад».

²¹Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

²¹Исо ба вай гуфт: «Эй зан! Ба Ман бовар кун, соате мерасад, ки на дар болои ин кӯҳ ва на дар Ерусалим Падарро парастиш хоҳед кард;

²²Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

²²«Шумо он чиро, ки намедонед, парастиш мекунед, вале мо он чиро, ки медонем, парастиш мекунем, зеро ки наҷот аз яҳудиён аст;

²³But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

²³«Лекин соате мерасад, ва аллакай расидааст, ки парастандагони ҳақиқӣ Падарро ба рӯҳ ва ростӣ парастиш хоҳанд кард, зеро ки Падар толиби ин гуна парастандагони Худ мебошад:

²⁴God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

²⁴«Худо рӯҳ аст, ва онҳое ки Ӯро парастиш мекунанд, бояд ба рӯҳ ва ростӣ парастиш кунанд».

²⁵The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

²⁵Зан баӮгуфт: «Медонам, ки Христос, яъне Масеҳ меояд: чун Ӯ ояд, аз ҳар чиз ба мо хабар хоҳад дод».

²⁶Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

²⁶Исо ба вай гуфт: «Ман, ки бо ту сухан мегӯям, Ҳамонам».

²⁷And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?

²⁷Дар ҳамин вақт шогирдонаш омада, тааҷҷуб карданд, ки Ӯ бо зане гуфтугӯ мекунад; лекин ҳеҷ кас нагуфт, ки: "Чӣ металабӣ?" ё ки: "Барои чй бо вай ҳарф мезанӣ?"

²⁸The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,

²⁸Зан кӯзаи худро монда, ба шаҳр рафт ва ба мардум гуфт:

²⁹Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

²⁹«Биёед ва Касеро бубинед, ки ҳар он чи кардаам, ба ман гуфт, оё Ӯ Масеҳ нест?»

³⁰Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.

³⁰Онҳо аз шаҳр берун шуда, назди Ӯ меомаданд.

³¹In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.

³¹Дар ин миён шогирдон аз Ӯ илтимос карда, гуфтанд: «Эӣ Ӯстод! Бихӯр!»

³²But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.

³²Ба онҳо гуфт: «Ман ғизое дорам, ки бихӯрам, ва шумо онро намедонед».

³³Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat?

³³Шогирдон ба якдигар гуфтанд: «Магар касе ба Ӯ хӯрданӣ овардааст?»

³⁴Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

³⁴Исо ба онҳо гуфт: «Ғизои Ман он аст, ки иродаи Фиристандаи Худро ба ҷо оварам ва кори Ӯро ба анҷом расонам.

³⁵Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

³⁵«Оё шумо намегӯед, ки боз чор моҳ мондааст, ва дарав фаро хоҳад расид? Инак, Ман ба шумо мегӯям: чашмони худро боло карда, киштзорро бубинед, ки барои дарав сафед шудааст.

³⁶And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.

³⁶«Даравгар музди худро мегирад ва маҳсулеро барои ҳаёти ҷовидонӣ ҷамъ мекунад, то ки коранда ва даравгар бо ҳам шодй кунанд,

³⁷And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.

³⁷«Зеро ки дар ин маврид чунин сухан ҳаққонист, ки: "Яке мекорад ва дигаре дарав мекунад".

³⁸I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.

³⁸«Ман шуморо барои даравидани маҳсуле фиристодам, ки барои он шумо меҳнат накардаед: дигарон меҳнат кардаанд, ва шумо дар меҳнати онҳо дохил шудаед».

³⁹And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.

³⁹Ва аз рӯи каломи он зан, ки шаҳодат дода буд: «Ҳар он чи кардаам, Ӯ ба ман гуфт», аз он шаҳр бксьёр сомариён ба Ӯ имон оварданд.

⁴⁰So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.

⁴⁰Бинобар ин, чун сомариён пеши Ӯ омаданд, аз Ӯ хохиш карданд, ки назди онҳо бимонад; ва Ӯ ду рӯз назди онҳо монд.

⁴¹And many more believed because of his own word;

⁴¹Ва боз бисьбре аз рӯи каломи Ӯ имои оварданд.

⁴²And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

⁴²Ва ба он зан гуфганд: «Пас аз ин имони мо аз рӯи сухани ту нест, зеро ки худамон шунидем ва донистем, ки Ӯ дар ҳақиқат Наҷотдиҳандаи олам аст, яъне Масеҳ аст».

⁴³Now after two days he departed thence, and went into Galilee.

⁴³Пас аз ду рӯз Ӯ аз он ҷо берун омада, ба Ҷалил равона шуд;

⁴⁴For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country.

⁴⁴Зеро Худи Исо шаҳодат додааст, ки пайгамбар дар зодгоҳи худ беқадр аст.

⁴⁵Then when he was come into Galilee, the Galilaeans received him, having seen all the things that he did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast.

⁴⁵Чун Ӯба Ҷалил омад, аҳли ҶалилӮро пазируфтанд, зеро ҳар он чи дар Ерусалим дар ид карда буд, дидабуданд, чунки онҳо низ ба ид рафта буданд.

⁴⁶So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.

⁴⁶Ва Исо бори дигар ба Қонои Ҷалил омад, ки дар он ҷо обро шароб гардонда буд. Ва шахсе аз дарбориён буд, ки писараш дар Кафарнаҳум бемор буд.

⁴⁷When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.

⁴⁷Чун шунид, ки Исо аз Яҳудо ба Ҷалил омадааст, назди Ӯ рафта, илтимос кард, ки омада, писарашро шифо диҳад, ки вай дар дами марг аст.

⁴⁸Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

⁴⁸Исо ба вай гуфт: «Агар аломот ва мӯъҷизот набинед, имон намеоваред».

⁴⁹The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.

⁴⁹Дарборӣ ба Ӯ гуфт: «Эй оғо! Пеш аз он ки писарам бимирад, биё».

⁵⁰Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.

⁵⁰Исо ба вай гуфт: «Бирав, ки пиеарат зинда аст». Вай ба сухане ки Исо гуфт, имон оварда, равона шуд.

⁵¹And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.

⁵¹Ва ҳангоме ки мерафт, навкаронаш вайро пешвоз гирифтанд ва мужда дода, гуфтанд: «Писарат зинда аст».

⁵²Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.

⁵²Аз онҳо пурсид: «Дар кадом соат аҳволаш беҳтар шуд?» Ба вай гуфтанд: «Дирӯз дар соати ҳафтум табларза вайро тарк кард».

⁵³So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.

⁵³Ва падар донист, ки ин ҳамон соате буд, ки Исо ба вай гуфт: «Писарат зинда аст». Ва худаш ва тамоми аҳли байташ имон оварданд.

⁵⁴This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee.

⁵⁴Ин мӯъҷизаи дуюм буд, ки Исо баъд аз омаданаш аз Яҳудо ба Ҷалил нишон дод.
