¹And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.

¹ВА Ӯ ба Ериҳӯ ворид шуда, аз он мегузашт.

²And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.

²Ва инак, Заккай ном шахс, ки сардори боҷгирон ва сарватдор буд,

³And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.

³Мехост Исоро бубинад, ки Ӯ кист, лекин ба сабаби бисьёрии мардум натавонист, чунки қадаш паст буд.

⁴And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.

⁴Ва давида пеш гузашту болои дарахти анҷире баромад, то ки Ӯро бубинад, чунки Ӯро лозим буд аз пешн он бигзарад.

⁵And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.

⁵Вакте ки Исо ба он ҷо расид, назар афканда, вайро дид ва гуфт: «Эй Заккай! Зуд фурӯд ой, зеро ки имрӯз Маро лозим аст дар хонаат бимонам».

⁶And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.

⁶Вай зуд фуромада, Ӯро бо хурсандӣ пазирой намуд.

⁷And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.

⁷Ва ҳама инро дида, шиквакунон гуфтанд, ки Ӯ дар ҳонаи шахси гуноҳкор меҳмон шудааст.

⁸And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.

⁸Аммо Заккай барҳоста, ба Худованд гуфт: «Худовандо! Нисфи дороии худро ман ба мискинон медиҳам, ва агар чизи касеро ноинсофоиа гприфта бошам, чор баробар подош медиҳам».

⁹And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

⁹Исо ба вай гуфт: «Имрӯз ба пн ҳона наҷот омадааст, чунки вай низ Писари Иброҳим аст;

¹⁰For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

¹⁰«Зеро ки Писари Одам омадааст, то ки гумшударо пайдо кунад ва наҷот диҳад».

¹¹And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.

¹¹Вакте ки онҳо инро гӯш мекарданд, Ӯ боз масале илова намуд: зеро ки Ӯ дар наздикин Ерусалпм буд, ва онҳо гумон мекарданд, ки ба зудӣ бояд Малакути Худо ба зуҳур ояд.

¹²He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.

¹²Бинобар ин Ӯ гуфт: «Шахсе аз ашроф ба кишвари дурдаст мерафт, то ки салтанате ба даст оварда, баргардад;

¹³And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

¹³«Ва даҳ нафар ғуломоиашро даъват намуда, ба онҳо даҳ мино дод ва ба онҳо гуфт: "Бо ин пул то вақти гашта омаданам доду муомила кунед".

¹⁴But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.

¹⁴«Аммо аҳли шаҳраш ба вай адоват доштанд ва аз ақиби вай элчӣ фиристоданд, то бигӯяд: "Намеҳоҳем, ки вай бар мо подшоҳӣ кунад".

¹⁵And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.

¹⁵«Ва ҳангоме ки вай салтанатро ба даст оварда, баргашт, фармуд, ки ҳамон ғуломонро, ки ба онҳо пул дода буд, ҷеғ зананд, то фаҳмад, ки ҳар яке чӣ қадар фоида кардааст.

¹⁶Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.

¹⁶«Якумин омада, гуфт; "Эй оғо! Як минои ту даҳ мино фоида овард".

¹⁷And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.

¹⁷«Ба ӯ гуфт: "Офарин, эй ғуломи нек! Азбаски ба чизк андак мӯътамад будӣ, бар даҳ шаҳр ҳоким шав".

¹⁸And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.

¹⁸«Дуюмин омада, гуфт: "Эй оғо! Як минои ту панҷ мино фоида овард".

¹⁹And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.

¹⁹«Ба ӯ низ гуфт:?Ту ҳам бар панҷ шаҳр ҳоким шав".

²⁰And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:

²⁰«Сеюмин омада, гуфт: "Эй оғо! Инак як минои ту, ки онро ба рӯймоле печонда, нигоҳ доштам;

²¹For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.

²¹"Зеро ки ман аз ту тарсидам, чунки шахси сахтгир ҳастӣ: он чи нагузоштай, мегирӣ, ва он чи накоштаӣ, медаравӣ".

²²And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:

²²«Ба ӯ гуфт: "Туро аз забони худат маҳкум мекунам, эй ғуломи шарир! Ту медонистӣ, ки ман шахси сахтгир ҳастам, он чи нагузоштаам, мегирам, ва он чи накоштаам, медаравам;

²³Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?

²³«Пас чаро пули маро ба саррофон надодӣ, то ки ман омада, онро бо фоидааш бигирам?"

²⁴And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.

²⁴«Ва ба ҳозирон фармуд: "Он миноро аз ӯ гирифта, ба он ки даҳ мино дорад, бидиҳед".

²⁵(And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)

²⁵«Ба ӯ гуфтанд: "Эй оғо! Ваӣ даҳ мино дорад".

²⁶For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.

²⁶"Ба шумо мегӯям, ки ҳар кй дорад, ба вай дода шавад; ва ҳар кӣ надорад, аз вай он чи низ дорад, гирифта шавад;

²⁷But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

²⁷"Лекин он душманони маро, ки намехостанд бар онҳо подшоҳй кунам, ба ин ҷо оварда, пеши ман ба қатл расонед"».

²⁸And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem.

²⁸Ин суханонро гуфта, Ӯ боз ба роҳ даромад ва сӯи Ерусалнм равоиа шуд.

²⁹And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,

²⁹Ва чун ба БайтФоҷӣ ва Байт-Ҳинӣ, ки бар кӯҳи Зайтун аст, наздик омад, ду шогирди Худро фиристода,

³⁰Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither.

³⁰Ба онҳо гуфт: «Ба он деҳа, ки рӯ ба рӯи мост, биравед; ҳамин ки вориди он шудед, харкурраеро баста меёбед, ки ҳанӯз касе бар он савор нашудааст; онро воз карда, биёред;

³¹And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.

³¹«Ва агар касе аз шумо пурсад: "Чаро воз мекунед?" - ба вай бигӯед: "Худованд ба он эҳтиёч дорад"».

³²And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them.

³²Фиристодагон рафта, чунон ки Ӯ ба онҳо гуфта буд, ёфтанд.

³³And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?

³³Вақте ки онҳо курраро воз мекардаид, соҳибонаш ба онҳо гуфтанд: «Чаро курраро воз мекунед?»

³⁴And they said, The Lord hath need of him.

³⁴Гуфтанд: «Худованд ба он эҳтпёҷ дорад».

³⁵And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon.

³⁵Ва онро назди Исо оварданд; ва ҷомаҳои худро бар курра афканда, Исоро ба он савор кардаид.

³⁶And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.

³⁶Ва ҳангоме ки Ӯ мерафт, ҷомаҳои худро бар роҳ мегустурданд.

³⁷And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;

³⁷Вақте ки Ӯ ба фуромадгоҳи кӯҳи Зайтун наэдик шуд, тамоми тӯдаи шогирдонаш шодикуион бо оволи баланд Худоро барои ҳамаи мӯъҷизаҳое ки дида буданд, ҳамду сано карда,

³⁸Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

³⁸Мегуфтанд: «Муборак аст Подшоҳе ки ба исми Худованд меояд! Осоиштагӣ дар осмон ва ҷалол дар арши аъло бод!»

³⁹And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.

³⁹Баъзе фарисиён аз миёни мардум ба Ӯ гуфтанд: «Эй Ӯстод! Шогирдони Худро манъ кун».

⁴⁰And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

⁴⁰Дар ҷавоб гуфт: «Ба шумо мегӯям, ки агар онҳо хомӯш монанд, сангҳо нидо хоҳанд кард».

⁴¹And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,

⁴¹Ва ҳангоме ки Ӯ ба шаҳр наздик омад, ба он назар андохга, ба ҳоли он гирьен шуд

⁴²Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.

⁴²Ва гуфт: «Оҳ, кошки ту низ ақаллан дар ҳамин рӯзи худ медонистӣ, ки кадом чизҳо сӯи осоиштагии ту мебарад! Аммо ин ҳоло аз чашмони ту ииҳои аст;

⁴³For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,

⁴³«Зеро рӯзҳое ба сарат меояд, ки душманонат ба муқобили ту сангарҳо хоҳанд сохт ва туро иҳота намуда, аз ҳар тараф ба танг хоҳанд овард,

⁴⁴And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

⁴⁴«Ва туро, ва фарзаидонатро дар дохили ту, ба хок яксон ҳоҳанд кард, ва дар ту санге бар саиге нахоҳанд гузошт, аз барои он ки ту вақтн тафаққуди ҳудро надонистй».

⁴⁵And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;

⁴⁵Ва ба маъбад даромада, ба пеш кардани онҳое ки дар он харидуфурӯш мекарданд, оғоз намуд,

⁴⁶Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.

⁴⁶Ва ба опҳо гуфт: «Навишта шудааст, ки "хонаи Ман хонаи ибодат аст", аммо шумо онро ба дуздхона мубаддал кардаед».

⁴⁷And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,

⁴⁷Ва ҳар рӯз дар маъбад таълим медод. Аммо саркоҳинон ва китобдонон ва пирони кавм касд доштанд, ки Ӯро нобуд кунанд,

⁴⁸And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.

⁴⁸Вале илоҷи ин корро ёфта наметавонистанд, зеро ки тамоми мардум пайваста ба суханоии Ӯ гӯш медоданд.
