1And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
1"จงเขียนถึงทูตสวรรค์แห่งคริสตจักรที่เมืองซาร์ดิสว่า `พระองค์ผู้ทรงมีพระวิญญาณทั้งเจ็ดของพระเจ้า และทรงมีดาราเจ็ดดวงนั้น ได้ตรัสดังนี้ว่า เรารู้จักแนวการกระทำของเจ้า เจ้าได้ชื่อว่ามีชีวิตอยู่ แต่ว่าเจ้าได้ตายเสียแล้ว
2Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
2เจ้าจงระแวดระวังให้ดี และกระตุ้นส่วนที่เหลืออยู่ซึ่งจวนจะตายอยู่แล้วนั้นให้แข็งแรงขึ้น เพราะว่าเราไม่พบการประพฤติของเจ้าดีพร้อมต่อพระพักตร์พระเจ้า
3Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
3เหตุฉะนั้น เจ้าจงระลึกว่าเจ้าได้รับและได้ยินอะไร จงยึดไว้ให้มั่นและกลับใจเสียใหม่ ฉะนั้นถ้าเจ้าไม่เฝ้าระวัง เราจะมาหาเจ้าเหมือนอย่างขโมย และเจ้าจะไม่รู้ว่าเราจะมาหาเจ้าเมื่อไร
4Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
4แต่ก็มีพวกเจ้าสองสามชื่อที่เมืองซาร์ดิส ที่ไม่ได้กระทำให้เสื้อผ้าของตนมีมลทิน และเขาเหล่านั้นจะแต่งตัวสีขาวเดินไปกับเรา เพราะว่าเขาเป็นคนที่สมควรแล้ว
5He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
5ผู้ใดมีชัยชนะ ผู้นั้นจะสวมเสื้อสีขาว และเราจะไม่ลบชื่อผู้นั้นออกจากหนังสือแห่งชีวิต แต่เราจะรับรองชื่อผู้นั้นต่อพระพักตร์พระบิดาของเรา และต่อหน้าเหล่าทูตสวรรค์ของพระองค์
6He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
6ใครมีหูก็ให้ฟังข้อความซึ่งพระวิญญาณได้ตรัสไว้แก่คริสตจักรทั้งหลายเถิด'
7And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
7จงเขียนถึงทูตสวรรค์แห่งคริสตจักรที่เมืองฟีลาเดลเฟีย ว่า `พระองค์ผู้บริสุทธิ์ ผู้สัตย์จริง ผู้ทรงถือลูกกุญแจของดาวิด ผู้ทรงเปิดแล้วจะไม่มีผู้ใดปิด ผู้ทรงปิดแล้วจะไม่มีผู้ใดเปิด ได้ตรัสดังนี้ว่า
8I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
8เรารู้จักแนวการกระทำของเจ้า ดูเถิด เราได้ตั้งประตูซึ่งเปิดไว้ตรงหน้าพวกเจ้า ประตูนี้ไม่มีใครปิดได้ เพราะว่าเจ้ามีกำลังเพียงเล็กน้อย แต่กระนั้นเจ้าก็ได้ประพฤติตามคำของเราและไม่ได้ปฏิเสธนามของเรา
9Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
9ดูเถิด เราจะทำให้พวกธรรมศาลาของซาตานที่พูดมุสาว่าเขาเป็นพวกยิวและไม่ได้เป็นนั้น ดูเถิด เราจะทำให้เขามากราบลงแทบเท้าของเจ้า และให้เขารู้ว่า เราได้รักพวกเจ้า
10Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
10เพราะเหตุเจ้าได้ประพฤติตามคำของเราด้วยความเพียร เราจะรักษาเจ้าจากเวลาแห่งการทดลองนั้นด้วย ซึ่งจะบังเกิดมีทั่วทั้งโลก เพื่อจะลองดูใจคนทั้งปวงที่อยู่ทั่วแผ่นดินโลก
11Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
11ดูเถิด เราจะมาโดยเร็ว จงยึดมั่นในสิ่งที่เจ้ามี เพื่อไม่ให้ผู้ใดชิงเอามงกุฎของเจ้าไปได้
12Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
12ผู้ใดมีชัยชนะ เราจะกระทำให้ผู้นั้นเป็นเสาในพระวิหารแห่งพระเจ้าของเรา และผู้นั้นจะไม่ออกไปภายนอกอีกเลย และเราจะจารึกพระนามพระเจ้าของเราไว้ที่ผู้นั้น และชื่อเมืองของพระเจ้าของเรา คือกรุงเยรูซาเล็มใหม่ ที่ลงมาจากสวรรค์จากพระเจ้าของเรา และเราจะจารึกนามใหม่ของเราไว้ที่ผู้นั้นด้วย
13He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
13ใครมีหูก็ให้ฟังข้อความซึ่งพระวิญญาณได้ตรัสไว้แก่คริสตจักรทั้งหลายเถิด'
14And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
14จงเขียนถึงทูตสวรรค์แห่งคริสตจักรที่เมืองเลาดีเซีย ว่า `พระองค์ผู้ทรงเป็นพระเอเมน ทรงเป็นพยานที่สัตย์ซื่อและสัตย์จริง และทรงเป็นปฐมเหตุแห่งสิ่งสารพัดซึ่งพระเจ้าทรงสร้าง ได้ตรัสดังนี้ว่า
15I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
15เรารู้จักแนวการกระทำของเจ้าว่า เจ้าไม่เย็นไม่ร้อน เราใคร่ให้เจ้าเย็นหรือร้อน
16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
16ดังนั้น เพราะเหตุที่เจ้าเป็นแต่อุ่นๆไม่เย็นและไม่ร้อน เราจะคายเจ้าออกจากปากของเรา
17Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
17เพราะเจ้าพูดว่า "เราเป็นคนมั่งมี ได้ทรัพย์สมบัติทวีมากขึ้น และเราไม่ต้องการสิ่งใดเลย" เจ้าไม่รู้ว่าเจ้าเป็นคนแร้นแค้นเข็ญใจ เป็นคนน่าสังเวช เป็นคนขัดสน เป็นคนตาบอด และเปลือยกายอยู่
18I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
18เราเตือนสติเจ้าให้ซื้อทองคำที่หลอมให้บริสุทธิ์ในไฟแล้วจากเรา เพื่อเจ้าจะได้เป็นคนมั่งมี และเสื้อผ้าขาวเพื่อจะนุ่งห่มได้ และเพื่อความละอายแห่งกายเปลือยเปล่าของเจ้าจะไม่ได้ปรากฏ และเอายาทาตาของเจ้าเพื่อเจ้าจะแลเห็นได้
19As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
19เรารักผู้ใด เราก็ตักเตือนและตีสอนผู้นั้น เหตุฉะนั้นจงมีความกระตือรือร้น และกลับใจเสียใหม่
20Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
20ดูเถิด เรายืนเคาะอยู่ที่ประตู ถ้าผู้ใดได้ยินเสียงของเรา และเปิดประตู เราจะเข้าไปหาผู้นั้น และจะรับประทานอาหารร่วมกับเขา และเขาจะรับประทานอาหารร่วมกับเรา
21To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
21ผู้ใดมีชัยชนะ เราจะให้ผู้นั้นนั่งกับเราบนพระที่นั่งของเรา เหมือนกับที่เรามีชัยชนะแล้ว และได้นั่งกับพระบิดาของเราบนพระที่นั่งของพระองค์
22He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
22ใครมีหูก็ให้ฟังข้อความซึ่งพระวิญญาณได้ตรัสไว้แก่คริสตจักรทั้งหลายเถิด'"
