1After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
1ต่อจากนั้น ดูเถิด ข้าพเจ้าได้เห็นประตูสวรรค์เปิดอ้าอยู่ และพระสุรเสียงแรกซึ่งข้าพเจ้าได้ยินนั้นได้ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าดุจเสียงแตรว่า "จงขึ้นมาบนนี้เถิด และเราจะสำแดงให้เจ้าเห็นเหตุการณ์ที่จะต้องเกิดขึ้นในภายหน้า"
2And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
2ในทันใดนั้น พระวิญญาณก็ทรงดลใจข้าพเจ้า และดูเถิด มีพระที่นั่งตั้งอยู่ในสวรรค์ และมีท่านองค์หนึ่งประทับบนพระที่นั่งนั้น
3And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
3และพระองค์ผู้ประทับบนพระที่นั่งนั้นปรากฏประดุจพลอยหยกและพลอยทับทิม และมีรุ้งล้อมรอบพระที่นั่งนั้น ดูประหนึ่งพลอยมรกต
4And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
4และล้อมรอบพระที่นั่งนั้นมีที่นั่งอีกยี่สิบสี่ที่นั่ง และข้าพเจ้าได้เห็นผู้อาวุโสยี่สิบสี่คนนั่งอยู่บนที่นั่งเหล่านั้น ทุกคนนุ่งห่มเสื้อสีขาว และสวมมงกุฎทองคำบนศีรษะ
5And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
5มีฟ้าแลบฟ้าร้อง และเสียงต่างๆดังออกมาจากพระที่นั่งนั้น และมีประทีปเจ็ดดวงจุดไว้ตรงหน้าพระที่นั่ง ซึ่งเป็นพระวิญญาณทั้งเจ็ดของพระเจ้า
6And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
6และตรงหน้าพระที่นั่งนั้นมีทะเลแก้วดูเหมือนแก้วผลึก และท่ามกลางพระที่นั่งและล้อมรอบพระที่นั่งนั้นมีสิ่งที่มีชีวิตอยู่สี่ตัว ซึ่งมีตาเต็มทั้งข้างหน้าและข้างหลัง
7And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
7สิ่งที่มีชีวิตอยู่ตัวที่หนึ่งนั้นเหมือนสิงโต สิ่งที่มีชีวิตอยู่ตัวที่สองนั้นเหมือนลูกโค สิ่งที่มีชีวิตอยู่ตัวที่สามนั้นมีหน้าเหมือนมนุษย์ และสิ่งที่มีชีวิตอยู่ตัวที่สี่เหมือนนกอินทรีกำลังบิน
8And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
8สิ่งที่มีชีวิตอยู่ทั้งสี่นั้นแต่ละตัวมีปีกหกปีกอยู่รอบตัว และมีตาเต็มข้างใน และสิ่งที่มีชีวิตอยู่เหล่านั้นร้องตลอดวันตลอดคืนไม่ได้หยุดเลยว่า "บริสุทธิ์ บริสุทธิ์ บริสุทธิ์ องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระเจ้า ผู้ทรงฤทธานุภาพสูงสุด ผู้ได้ทรงสภาพอยู่ในกาลก่อน ผู้ทรงสภาพอยู่ในปัจจุบัน และผู้ซึ่งจะเสด็จมา"
9And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
9เมื่อสิ่งที่มีชีวิตอยู่เหล่านั้นถวายคำสรรเสริญ ถวายพระเกียรติ และคำขอบพระคุณแด่พระองค์ผู้ประทับบนพระที่นั่ง ผู้ทรงพระชนม์อยู่ตลอดไปเป็นนิตย์
10The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
10ผู้อาวุโสทั้งยี่สิบสี่นั้นก็ทรุดตัวลงจำเพาะพระพักตร์พระองค์ ผู้ประทับบนพระที่นั่งนั้น และนมัสการพระองค์ผู้ทรงพระชนม์อยู่ตลอดไปเป็นนิตย์ และถอดมงกุฎออกวางตรงหน้าพระที่นั่งร้องว่า
11Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
11"ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระองค์ทรงสมควรที่จะได้รับคำสรรเสริญ พระเกียรติ และฤทธิ์เดช เพราะว่าพระองค์ได้ทรงสร้างสรรพสิ่งทั้งปวง และสรรพสิ่งทั้งปวงนั้นก็ทรงสร้างขึ้นแล้วและดำรงอยู่ตามชอบพระทัยของพระองค์"
