1And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
1และในพระหัตถ์เบื้องขวาของพระองค์ผู้ทรงประทับบนพระที่นั่งนั้น ข้าพเจ้าได้เห็นหนังสือม้วนหนึ่งเขียนไว้ทั้งข้างในและข้างนอก มีตราประทับอยู่เจ็ดดวง
2And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
2และข้าพเจ้าได้เห็นทูตสวรรค์ที่มีฤทธิ์องค์หนึ่ง ประกาศด้วยเสียงอันดังว่า "ใครเป็นผู้ที่สมควรจะแกะตราและคลี่หนังสือม้วนนั้นออก"
3And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
3และไม่มีผู้ใดในสวรรค์ บนแผ่นดินโลก หรือใต้แผ่นดินที่สามารถคลี่หนังสือม้วนนั้นออก หรือดูหนังสือนั้นได้
4And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
4และข้าพเจ้าก็ร่ำไห้มากมาย เพราะไม่มีผู้ใดสมควรจะคลี่หนังสือม้วนนั้นออกและอ่านหนังสือนั้น หรือดูหนังสือนั้นได้
5And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
5และมีผู้หนึ่งในพวกผู้อาวุโสนั้น บอกแก่ข้าพเจ้าว่า "อย่าร้องไห้เลย ดูเถิด สิงโตแห่งตระกูลยูดาห์ เป็นมูลรากของดาวิด พระองค์ทรงมีชัยแล้ว พระองค์จึงทรงสามารถแกะตราทั้งเจ็ดดวงและคลี่หนังสือม้วนนั้นออกได้"
6And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
6และในท่ามกลางพระที่นั่งกับสิ่งที่มีชีวิตอยู่ทั้งสี่นั้น และท่ามกลางพวกผู้อาวุโส ดูเถิด ข้าพเจ้าแลเห็นพระเมษโปดกประทับยืนอยู่ประหนึ่งทรงถูกปลงพระชนม์ ทรงมีเขาเจ็ดเขาและมีตาเจ็ดดวง ซึ่งเป็นพระวิญญาณทั้งเจ็ดของพระเจ้า ที่ทรงส่งออกไปทั่วแผ่นดินโลก
7And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
7และพระเมษโปดกนั้นได้เข้ามารับม้วนหนังสือจากพระหัตถ์เบื้องขวาของพระองค์ ผู้ทรงประทับบนพระที่นั่งนั้น
8And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
8เมื่อพระองค์ทรงรับหนังสือม้วนนั้นแล้ว สิ่งที่มีชีวิตอยู่ทั้งสี่กับผู้อาวุโสยี่สิบสี่คนนั้นก็ทรุดตัวลงจำเพาะพระพักตร์พระเมษโปดก ทุกคนถือพิณเขาคู่และถือขันทองคำบรรจุเครื่องหอม ซึ่งเป็นคำอธิษฐานของพวกวิสุทธิชนทั้งปวง
9And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
9และเขาทั้งหลายก็ร้องเพลงใหม่ ว่าดังนี้ "พระองค์ทรงเป็นผู้ที่สมควรจะทรงรับม้วนหนังสือ และแกะตราม้วนหนังสือนั้นออก เพราะว่าพระองค์ทรงถูกปลงพระชนม์แล้ว และด้วยพระโลหิตของพระองค์นั้น พระองค์ได้ทรงไถ่เราทั้งหลายซึ่งมาจากทุกตระกูล ทุกภาษาทุกชาติและทุกประเทศ ให้ไปถึงพระเจ้า
10And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
10พระองค์ได้ทรงโปรดให้เราทั้งหลายเป็นกษัตริย์และเป็นปุโรหิตของพระเจ้าของเรา และเราทั้งหลายจะได้ครอบครองแผ่นดินโลก"
11And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
11แล้วข้าพเจ้าก็มองดู และข้าพเจ้าได้ยินเสียงทูตสวรรค์เป็นอันมากนับเป็นโกฏิๆเป็นแสนๆ ซึ่งอยู่ล้อมรอบพระที่นั่งรอบสิ่งที่มีชีวิตอยู่และผู้อาวุโสทั้งหลายนั้น
12Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
12ร้องเสียงดังว่า "พระเมษโปดกผู้ทรงถูกปลงพระชนม์แล้วนั้น เป็นผู้ที่สมควรได้รับฤทธิ์เดช ทรัพย์สมบัติ ปัญญา อานุภาพ เกียรติ สง่าราศี และคำสดุดี"
13And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
13และข้าพเจ้าได้ยินเสียงสิ่งมีชีวิตทั้งหมด ทั้งในสวรรค์ ในแผ่นดินโลก ใต้แผ่นดินโลก ในมหาสมุทร และบรรดาที่อยู่ในที่เหล่านั้น ร้องว่า "ขอให้คำสดุดีและเกียรติ และสง่าราศีและฤทธิ์เดช จงมีแด่พระองค์ผู้ประทับบนพระที่นั่ง และแด่พระเมษโปดกตลอดไปเป็นนิตย์"
14And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.
14และสิ่งที่มีชีวิตอยู่ทั้งสี่นั้นก็ร้องว่า "เอเมน" และผู้อาวุโสทั้งยี่สิบสี่ก็ทรุดตัวลงนมัสการพระองค์ ผู้ทรงพระชนม์อยู่ตลอดไปเป็นนิตย์
