¹Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

¹Ha-lê-lu-gia! Hãy ngợi khen Ðức Giê-hô-va, vì Ngài là thiện; Sự nhơn từ Ngài còn đến đời đời.

²Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? who can shew forth all his praise?

²Ai có thể thuật các công việc quyền năng của Ðức Giê-hô-va, Truyền ra hết sự ngợi khen của Ngài?

³Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times.

³Phước cho người nào gìn giữ sự đoan chánh, Và làm theo sự công bình luôn luôn!

⁴Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation;

⁴Hỡi Ðức Giê-hô-va, xin hãy nhớ lại tôi tùy ơn Ngài làm cho dân sự Ngài; Hãy lấy sự cứu rỗi mà đến viếng tôi,

⁵That I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.

⁵Hầu cho tôi thấy sự thới thạnh của kẻ được Ngài chọn, Hưởng sự vui vẻ của dân sự Ngài, Và được khoe mình với cơ nghiệp Ngài.

⁶We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.

⁶Chúng tôi và tổ phụ chúng tôi đã phạm tội; Chúng tôi có phạm sự gian tà, và làm cách hung ác.

⁷Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.

⁷Tại Ê-díp-tô tổ phụ chúng tôi không chăm chỉ về các phép lạ Chúa, Cũng chẳng nhớ lại sự nhơn từ dư dật của Chúa; Nhưng lại phản nghịch bên biển, tức là Biển đỏ.

⁸Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.

⁸Dầu vậy, Ngài cứu họ vì cớ danh Ngài, Hầu cho bày ra quyền năng của Ngài.

⁹He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.

⁹Ngài quở Biển đỏ, nó bèn khô; Ngài dần Y-sơ-ra-ên đi ngang qua vực sâu như ngang đồng vắng.

¹⁰And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

¹⁰Ngài giải cứu họ khỏi tay kẻ ghen ghét, Chuộc họ khỏi tay kẻ thù nghịch.

¹¹And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left.

¹¹Nước chụp phủ những kẻ hà hiếp họ; Chẳng còn lại một người.

¹²Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.

¹²Bấy giờ họ mới tin lời của Ngài, Bèn hát ngợi khen Ngài.

¹³They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel:

¹³Họ lại mãi mãi quên các công việc Ngài, Không chờ đợi lời chỉ giáo Ngài,

¹⁴But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert.

¹⁴Nhưng có lòng tham dục quá đỗi tại trong đồng vắng, Và thử Ðức Chúa Trời nơi vắng vẻ.

¹⁵And he gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.

¹⁵Ngài ban cho chúng nó điều chúng nó cầu xin; Nhưng sai bịnh tổn hại linh hồn chúng nó.

¹⁶They envied Moses also in the camp, and Aaron the saint of the LORD.

¹⁶Trong trại quân họ ganh ghét Môi-se Và A-rôn, là người thánh của Ðức Giê-hô-va.

¹⁷The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan and covered the company of Abiram.

¹⁷Ðất hả ra nuốt Ða-than, Và lấp bọn A-bi-ran.

¹⁸And a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked.

¹⁸Có lửa phát cháy trong hội chúng nó, Ngọn lửa thiêu đốt những kẻ ác.

¹⁹They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.

¹⁹Tổ phụ tôi làm một bò tơ tại Hô-rếp, Thờ lạy trước mặt hình đúc;

²⁰Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass.

²⁰Họ đổi sự vinh hiển mình Ra hình dạng con bò ăn cỏ.

²¹They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;

²¹Họ quên Ðức Chúa Trời là Ðấng cứu rỗi mình, Và đã có làm công việc lớn lao ở Ê-díp-tô,

²²Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red sea.

²²Những việc lạ kỳ trong xứ Cham, Và các điều đáng kinh hãi ở bên Biển đỏ.

²³Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.

²³Vì vậy, Ngài phán rằng sẽ diệt chúng nó đi; Nhưng Môi-se, là kẻ Ngài chọn, đứng nơi triệt hạ trước mặt Ngài, Ðặng can gián cơn giận Ngài, e Ngài hủy diệt họ chăng.

²⁴Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not his word:

²⁴Tổ phụ chúng tôi khinh bỉ xứ tốt đẹp, Không tin lời của Chúa,

²⁵But murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD.

²⁵Song nói lằm bằm trong trại mình, Không nghe tiếng Ðức Giê-hô-va.

²⁶Therefore he lifted up his hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness:

²⁶Vì vậy, Ngài thề cùng chúng nó rằng: Sẽ làm chúng nó sa ngã trong đồng vắng,

²⁷To overthrow their seed also among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands.

²⁷Khiến dòng dõi họ sa ngã giữa muôn nước, Và làm tản lạc họ trong các xứ.

²⁸They joined themselves also unto Baalpeor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.

²⁸Tổ phụ chúng tôi cũng cúng thờ Ba-anh-Phê-rô, Aên của lễ cúng kẻ chết;

²⁹Thus they provoked him to anger with their inventions: and the plague brake in upon them.

²⁹Như vậy họ chọc giận Ðức Chúa Trời vì những việc làm của họ, Và ôn dịch bèn phát ra giữa họ.

³⁰Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment: and so the plague was stayed.

³⁰Bấy giờ Phi-nê-a chổi dậy đoán xét, Và ôn dịch bèn ngừng lại.

³¹And that was counted unto him for righteousness unto all generations for evermore.

³¹Từ đời nầy qua đời kia việc đó kể cho người là công bình, Cho đến đời đời vô cùng.

³²They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes:

³²Tổ phụ chúng tôi cũng chọc giận Ngài tại Ngài Mê-ri-ba, Nên, vì cớ họ, có tai họa xảy đến cho Môi-se;

³³Because they provoked his spirit, so that he spake unadvisedly with his lips.

³³Ấy vì họ chọc rối trí người, Nên người nói những lời vô-ý.

³⁴They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the LORD commanded them:

³⁴Họ không hủy diệt các dân, Y như Ðức Giê-hô-va đã phán dặn họ;

³⁵But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works.

³⁵Nhưng lại pha lộn với các dân, Tập theo công việc chúng nó,

³⁶And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them.

³⁶Và hầu việc hình tượng chúng nó, Là điều gây làm cái bẫy cho mình.

³⁷Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,

³⁷Họ bắt con trai con gái mình Mà cúng tế ma quỉ.

³⁸And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.

³⁸Làm đổ huyết vô tội ra, Tức là huyết của con trai con gái mình, Mà họ cúng tế cho hình tượng xứ Ca-na-an; Nên xứ bị ô uế bởi huyết ấy.

³⁹Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.

³⁹Như vậy, họ làm cho mình bị ô uế vì công việc mình, Lấy sự làm mình mà thông dâm.

⁴⁰Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.

⁴⁰Nhơn đó cơn giận Ðức Giê-hô-va nổi lên cùng dân sự Ngài, Ngài gớm ghiếc cơ nghiệp mình;

⁴¹And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them.

⁴¹Ngài phó họ vào tay các ngoại bang; Những kẻ ghen ghét họ cai trị trên họ.

⁴²Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.

⁴²Kẻ thù nghịch cũng hà hiếp tổ phụ chúng ta. Họ bị phục dưới tay chúng nó.

⁴³Many times did he deliver them; but they provoked him with their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity.

⁴³Nhiều lần Chúa giải cứu tổ phụ chúng ta, Nhưng họ phiền lòng Ngài bởi ý muốn họ, Và họ hèn mọn vì tội ác của họ.

⁴⁴Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry:

⁴⁴Dầu vậy, khi nghe tiếng kêu cầu của họ, Ngài bèn đoái xem họ trong cơn gian truân họ,

⁴⁵And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.

⁴⁵Nhớ lại vì họ giao ước mình, Và thương xót họ tùy sự nhơn từ dư dật của Ngài.

⁴⁶He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captives.

⁴⁶Ngài cũng làm cho họ được ơn Bên những kẻ bắt họ làm phu tù.

⁴⁷Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise.

⁴⁷Hỡi Giê-hô-va, Ðức Chúa Trời chúng tôi, xin hãy cứu chúng tôi, Nhóm hiệp chúng tôi từ giữa các nước, Hầu cho chúng tôi cảm tạ danh thánh Chúa, Và khoe mình về sự ngợi khen Chúa.

⁴⁸Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD.

⁴⁸Ðáng ngợi khen Giê-hô-va, Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên, Từ trước vô cùng cho đến đời đời mãi mãi! Cả dân sự khá nói: A-men! Ha-lê-lu-gia!
