¹Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.

¹Ðức Giê-hô-va ôi! từ nơi sâu thẩm tôi cầu khẩn Ngài.

²Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

²Chúa ôi! xin nghe tiếng tôi; Nguyện tôi Chúa lắng nghe Tiếng nài xin của tôi.

³If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

³Hỡi Ðức Giê-hô-va, nếu Ngài cố chấp sự gian ác. Thì, Chúa ôi! ai sẽ còn sống?

⁴But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

⁴Nhưng Chúa có lòng tha thứ cho, Ðể người ta kính sợ Chúa.

⁵I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

⁵Tôi trông đợi Ðức Giê-hô-va, linh hồn tôi trông đợi Ngài; Tôi trông đợi lời của Ngài.

⁶My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.

⁶Linh hồn tôi trông đợi Chúa Hơn người lính canh trông đợi sáng, Thật, hơn người lính canh trông đợi sáng.

⁷Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

⁷Hỡi Y-sơ-ra-ên, hãy trông cậy nơi Ðức Giê-hô-va; Vì Ðức Giê-hô-va có lòng nhơn từ, Nơi Ngài có sự cứu rỗi nhiều;

⁸And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

⁸Chánh Ngài sẽ chuộc Y-sơ-ra-ên Khỏi các sự gian ác người.
