Acts

11

1And the apostles and the brethren who are in Judea heard that also the nations did receive the word of God,
1 Clywodd yr apostolion a'r credinwyr yn Jwdea fod y Cenhedloedd hefyd wedi derbyn Gair Duw.
2and when Peter came up to Jerusalem, those of the circumcision were contending with him,
2 Pan ddaeth Pedr i fyny i Jerwsalem, dechreuodd plaid yr enwaediad ddadlau ag ef,
3saying — `Unto men uncircumcised thou didst go in, and didst eat with them!`
3 a dweud, "Buost yn ymweld dynion dienwaededig, ac yn cydfwyta hwy."
4And Peter having begun, did expound to them in order saying,
4 Dechreuodd Pedr adrodd yr hanes wrthynt yn ei drefn.
5`I was in the city of Joppa praying, and I saw in a trance a vision, a certain vessel coming down, as a great sheet by four corners being let down out of the heaven, and it came unto me;
5 "Yr oeddwn i," meddai, "yn nhref Jopa yn gweddo, a gwelais mewn llesmair weledigaeth: yr oedd rhywbeth fel hwyl fawr yn disgyn ac yn cael ei gollwng o'r nef wrth bedair congl, a daeth hyd ataf.
6at which having looked stedfastly, I was considering, and I saw the four-footed beasts of the earth, and the wild beasts, and the creeping things, and the fowls of heaven;
6 Syllais i mewn iddi a cheisio amgyffred; gwelais anifeiliaid y ddaear a'r bwystfilod a'r ymlusgiaid ac adar y awyr.
7and I heard a voice saying to me, Having risen, Peter, slay and eat;
7 A chlywais lais yn dweud wrthyf, 'Cod, Pedr, lladd a bwyta.'
8and I said, Not so, Lord; because anything common or unclean hath at no time entered into my mouth;
8 Ond dywedais, 'Na, na, Arglwydd; nid aeth dim halogedig neu aflan erioed i'm genau.'
9and a voice did answer me a second time out of the heaven, What God did cleanse, thou — declare not thou common.
9 Atebodd llais o'r nef eilwaith, 'Yr hyn y mae Duw wedi ei lanhau, paid ti 'i alw'n halogedig.'
10`And this happened thrice, and again was all drawn up to the heaven,
10 Digwyddodd hyn deirgwaith, ac yna tynnwyd y cyfan i fyny yn l i'r nef.
11and, lo, immediately, three men stood at the house in which I was, having been sent from Cesarea unto me,
11 Ac yn union dyma dri dyn yn dod a sefyll wrth y tu375? lle'r oeddem, wedi eu hanfon ataf o Gesarea.
12and the Spirit said to me to go with them, nothing doubting, and these six brethren also went with me, and we did enter into the house of the man,
12 A dywedodd yr Ysbryd wrthyf am fynd gyda hwy heb amau dim. Daeth y chwe brawd hyn gyda mi, ac aethom i mewn i du375?'r dyn hwnnw.
13he declared also to us how he saw the messenger in his house standing, and saying to him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, who is surnamed Peter,
13 Mynegodd yntau i ni fel yr oedd wedi gweld yr angel yn sefyll yn ei du375? ac yn dweud, 'Anfon i Jopa i gyrchu Simon, a gyfenwir Pedr;
14who shall speak sayings by which thou shalt be saved, thou and all thy house.
14 fe lefara ef eiriau wrthyt, a thrwyddynt hwy achubir di a'th holl deulu.'
15`And in my beginning to speak, the Holy Spirit did fall upon them, even as also upon us in the beginning,
15 Ac nid cynt y dechreuais lefaru nag y syrthiodd yr Ysbryd Gln arnynt hwy fel yr oedd wedi syrthio arnom ninnau ar y cyntaf.
16and I remembered the saying of the Lord, how he said, John indeed did baptize with water, and ye shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit;
16 Cofiais air yr Arglwydd, fel yr oedd wedi dweud, ' du373?r y bedyddiodd Ioan, ond fe'ch bedyddir chwi 'r Ysbryd Gln.'
17if then the equal gift God did give to them as also to us, having believed upon the Lord Jesus Christ, I — how was I able to withstand God?`
17 Os rhoddodd Duw, ynteu, yr un rhodd iddynt hwy ag i ninnau pan gredasom yn yr Arglwydd Iesu Grist, pwy oeddwn i i allu rhwystro Duw?"
18And they, having heard these things, were silent, and were glorifying God, saying, `Then, indeed, also to the nations did God give the reformation to life.`
18 Ac wedi iddynt glywed hyn, fe dawsant, a gogoneddu Duw gan ddweud, "Felly rhoddodd Duw i'r Cenhedloedd hefyd yr edifeirwch a rydd fywyd."
19Those, indeed, therefore, having been scattered abroad, from the tribulation that came after Stephen, went through unto Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the word to none except to Jews only;
19 Yn awr yr oedd y rhai a wasgarwyd oherwydd yr erlid a gododd o achos Steffan wedi teithio cyn belled Phoenicia a Cyprus ac Antiochia, heb lefaru'r Gair wrth neb ond Iddewon yn unig.
20and there were certain of them men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who having entered into Antioch, were speaking unto the Hellenists, proclaiming good news — the Lord Jesus,
20 Ond yr oedd rhai ohonynt yn bobl o Cyprus a Cyrene a dechreusant hwy, wedi iddynt ddod i Antiochia, lefaru wrth y Groegiaid hefyd, gan gyhoeddi'r newydd da am yr Arglwydd Iesu.
21and the hand of the Lord was with them, a great number also, having believed, did turn unto the Lord.
21 Yr oedd llaw'r Arglwydd gyda hwy, a mawr oedd y nifer a ddaeth i gredu a throi at yr Arglwydd.
22And the account was heard in the ears of the assembly that [is] in Jerusalem concerning them, and they sent forth Barnabas to go through unto Antioch,
22 Daeth yr hanes amdanynt i glustiau'r eglwys oedd yn Jerwsalem ac anfonasant Barnabas allan i fynd i Antiochia.
23who, having come, and having seen the grace of God, was glad, and was exhorting all with purpose of heart to cleave to the Lord,
23 Wedi iddo gyrraedd, a gweld gras Duw, yr oedd yn llawen, a bu'n annog pawb i lynu wrth yr Arglwydd o wir fwriad calon;
24because he was a good man, and full of the Holy Spirit, and of faith, and a great multitude was added to the Lord.
24 achos yr oedd yn ddyn da, yn llawn o'r Ysbryd Gln ac o ffydd. A chwanegwyd tyrfa niferus i'r Arglwydd.
25And Barnabas went forth to Tarsus, to seek for Saul,
25 Yna fe aeth ymaith i Darsus i geisio Saul, ac wedi ei gael daeth ag ef i Antiochia.
26and having found him, he brought him to Antioch, and it came to pass that they a whole year did assemble together in the assembly, and taught a great multitude, the disciples also were divinely called first in Antioch Christians.
26 Am flwyddyn gyfan cawsant gydymgynnull gyda'r eglwys a dysgu tyrfa niferus; ac yn Antiochia y cafodd y disgyblion yr enw Cristionogion gyntaf.
27And in those days there came from Jerusalem prophets to Antioch,
27 Yn y dyddiau hynny daeth proffwydi i lawr o Jerwsalem i Antiochia,
28and one of them, by name Agabus, having stood up, did signify through the Spirit a great dearth is about to be throughout all the world — which also came to pass in the time of Claudius Caesar —
28 a chododd un ohonynt, o'r enw Agabus, a rhoi arwydd trwy'r Ysbryd fod newyn mawr ar ddod dros yr holl fyd; ac felly y bu yn amser Clawdius.
29and the disciples, according as any one was prospering, determined each of them to send for ministration to the brethren dwelling in Judea,
29 Penderfynodd y disgyblion, bob un ohonynt, gyfrannu, yn l fel y gallai fforddio, at gynhaliaeth eu cyd-gredinwyr oedd yn trigo yn Jwdea.
30which also they did, having sent unto the elders by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.
30 Gwnaethant hynny, ac anfon eu cyfraniad at yr henuriaid trwy law Barnabas a Saul.
