Acts

13

1And there were certain in Antioch, in the assembly there, prophets and teachers; both Barnabas, and Simeon who is called Niger, and Lucius the Cyrenian, Manaen also — Herod the tetrarch`s foster-brother — and Saul;
1 Yr oedd yn yr eglwys oedd yn Antiochia broffwydi ac Simeon, a elwid Niger, a Lwcius o Cyrene, a Manaen, un o wu375?r llys y Tywysog Herod, a Saul.
2and in their ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, `Separate ye to me both Barnabas and Saul to the work to which I have called them,`
2 Tra oeddent hwy'n offrymu addoliad i'r Arglwydd ac yn ymprydio, dywedodd yr Ysbryd Gln, "Neilltuwch yn awr i mi Barnabas a Saul, i'r gwaith yr wyf wedi eu galw iddo."
3then having fasted, and having prayed, and having laid the hands on them, they sent [them] away.
3 Yna, wedi ymprydio a gweddo a rhoi eu dwylo arnynt, gollyngasant hwy.
4These, indeed, then, having been sent forth by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia, thence also they sailed to Cyprus,
4 Felly, wedi eu hanfon allan gan yr Ysbryd Gln, daeth y rhain i lawr i Selewcia, ac oddi yno hwylio i Cyprus.
5and having come unto Salamis, they declared the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews, and they had also John [as] a ministrant;
5 Wedi cyrraedd Salamis, cyhoeddasant air Duw yn synagogau'r Iddewon. Yr oedd ganddynt Ioan hefyd yn gynorthwywr.
6and having gone through the island unto Paphos, they found a certain magian, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name [is] Bar-Jesus;
6 Aethant drwy'r holl ynys hyd Paffos, a chael yno ryw ddewin, gaubroffwyd o Iddew, o'r enw Bar-Iesu;
7who was with the proconsul Sergius Paulus, an intelligent man; this one having called for Barnabas and Saul, did desire to hear the word of God,
7 yr oedd hwn gyda'r rhaglaw, Sergius Pawlus, gu373?r deallus. Galwodd hwnnw Barnabas a Saul ato, a cheisio cael clywed gair Duw.
8and there withstood them Elymas the magian — for so is his name interpreted — seeking to pervert the proconsul from the faith.
8 Ond yr oedd Elymas y dewin (felly y cyfieithir ei enw) yn eu gwrthwynebu, a cheisio gwyrdroi'r rhaglaw oddi wrth y ffydd.
9And Saul — who also [is] Paul — having been filled with the Holy Spirit, and having looked stedfastly on him,
9 Ond dyma Saul (a elwir hefyd yn Paul), wedi ei lenwi 'r Ysbryd Gln, yn syllu arno
10said, `O full of all guile, and all profligacy, son of a devil, enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease perverting the right ways of the Lord?
10 a dweud, "Ti, sy'n llawn o bob twyll a phob dichell, fab diafol, gelyn pob cyfiawnder, oni pheidi di gwyrdroi union ffyrdd yr Arglwydd?
11and now, lo, a hand of the Lord [is] upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season;` and presently there fell upon him a mist and darkness, and he, going about, was seeking some to lead [him] by the hand;
11 Yn awr dyma law'r Arglwydd arnat, ac fe fyddi'n ddall, heb weld yr haul, am beth amser." Ac ar unwaith syrthiodd arno niwl a thywyllwch, a dyna lle'r oedd yn ymbalfalu am rywun i estyn llaw iddo.
12then the proconsul having seen what hath come to pass, did believe, being astonished at the teaching of the Lord.
12 Yna pan welodd y rhaglaw beth oedd wedi digwydd, daeth i gredu, wedi ei synnu'n fawr gan y ddysgeidiaeth am yr Arglwydd.
13And those about Paul having set sail from Paphos, came to Perga of Pamphylia, and John having departed from them, did turn back to Jerusalem,
13 Wedi hwylio o Paffos, daeth Paul a'i gymdeithion i Perga yn Pamffylia. Ond cefnodd Ioan arnynt, a dychwelyd i Jerwsalem.
14and they having gone through from Perga, came to Antioch of Pisidia, and having gone into the synagogue on the sabbath-day, they sat down,
14 Aethant hwythau yn eu blaenau o Perga a chyrraedd Antiochia Pisidia, ac aethant i'r synagog ar y dydd Saboth, ac eistedd yno.
15and after the reading of the law and of the prophets, the chief men of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, `Men, brethren, if there be a word in you of exhortation unto the people — say on.`
15 Ar l y darllen o'r Gyfraith a'r proffwydi, anfonodd arweinwyr y synagog atynt a gofyn, "Frodyr, os oes gennych air o anogaeth i'r bobl, traethwch."
16And Paul having risen, and having beckoned with the hand, said, `Men, Israelites, and those fearing God, hearken:
16 Cododd Paul, ac wedi amneidio 'i law dywedodd: "Chwi Israeliaid, a chwi eraill sy'n ofni Duw, gwrandewch.
17the God of this people Israel did choose our fathers, and the people He did exalt in their sojourning in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm did He bring them out of it;
17 Duw'r bobl hyn, Israel, fe ddewisodd hwn ein tadau ni, a dyrchafodd y bobl pan oeddent yn estroniaid yng ngwlad yr Aifft, ac braich estynedig fe ddaeth hwy allan oddi yno.
18and about a period of forty years He did suffer their manners in the wilderness,
18 Am ryw ddeugain mlynedd bu'n cydymddwyn hwy yn yr anialwch.
19and having destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, He did divide by lot to them their land.
19 Yna dinistriodd saith genedl yng ngwlad Canaan, a rhoi eu tir hwy yn etifeddiaeth iddynt
20`And after these things, about four hundred and fifty years, He gave judges — till Samuel the prophet;
20 am ryw bedwar can mlynedd a hanner. Ac wedi hynny rhoddodd iddynt farnwyr hyd at y proffwyd Samuel.
21and thereafter they asked for a king, and God did give to them Saul, son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years;
21 Ar l hyn gofynasant am gael brenin, a rhoddodd Duw iddynt Saul fab Cis, gu373?r o lwyth Benjamin, am ddeugain mlynedd.
22and having removed him, He did raise up to them David for king, to whom also having testified, he said, I found David, the [son] of Jesse, a man according to My heart, who shall do all My will.
22 Yna fe'i diorseddodd ef, a chodi Dafydd yn frenin iddynt, a thystiolaethu iddo gan ddweud, 'Cefais Ddafydd fab Jesse yn u373?r wrth fodd fy nghalon, un a wna bob peth yr wyf yn ei ewyllysio.'
23`Of this one`s seed God, according to promise, did raise to Israel a Saviour — Jesus,
23 O blith disgynyddion hwn y daeth Duw, yn l ei addewid, Gwaredwr i Israel, sef Iesu.
24John having first preached, before his coming, a baptism of reformation to all the people of Israel;
24 Yr oedd Ioan eisoes, cyn iddo ef ddod, wedi cyhoeddi bedydd edifeirwch i holl bobl Israel.
25and as John was fulfilling the course, he said, Whom me do ye suppose to be? I am not [he], but, lo, he doth come after me, of whom I am not worthy to loose the sandal of [his] feet.
25 Ac wrth ei fod yn cwblhau ei yrfa, dywedodd Ioan, 'Beth yr ydych chwi'n tybio fy mod? Nid hynny wyf fi. Na, dyma un yn dod ar f'l i nad wyf fi'n deilwng i ddatod y sandalau am ei draed.'
26`Men, brethren, sons of the race of Abraham, and those among you fearing God, to you was the word of this salvation sent,
26 "Frodyr, disgynyddion Abraham a'r rhai yn eich plith sy'n ofni Duw, i ni yr anfonwyd gair yr iachawdwriaeth hon.
27for those dwelling in Jerusalem, and their chiefs, this one not having known, also the voices of the prophets, which every sabbath are being read — having judged [him] — did fulfill,
27 Oherwydd nid adnabu trigolion Jerwsalem a'u llywodraethwyr mo hwn; ni ddeallasant chwaith eiriau'r proffwydi a ddarllenir bob Saboth, ond eu cyflawni trwy ei gondemnio ef.
28and no cause of death having found, they did ask of Pilate that he should be slain,
28 Er na chawsant ddim rheswm dros ei roi i farwolaeth, ceisiasant gan Pilat ei ladd;
29and when they did complete all the things written about him, having taken [him] down from the tree, they laid him in a tomb;
29 ac wedi iddynt ddwyn i ben bopeth oedd wedi ei ysgrifennu amdano, tynasant ef i lawr oddi ar y pren a'i roi mewn bedd.
30and God did raise him out of the dead,
30 Ond cyfododd Duw ef oddi wrth y meirw;
31and he was seen for many days of those who did come up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.
31 ac fe ymddangosodd dros ddyddiau lawer i'r rhai oedd wedi dod i fyny gydag ef o Galilea i Jerwsalem, ac y mae'r rhain yn awr yn dystion iddo i'r bobl.
32`And we to you do proclaim good news — that the promise made unto the fathers,
32 Yr ydym ninnau yn cyhoeddi i chwi newydd da am yr addewid a wnaed i'r hynafiaid, fod Duw wedi ei llwyr gyflawni hi i ni eu plant trwy atgyfodi Iesu,
33God hath in full completed this to us their children, having raised up Jesus, as also in the second Psalm it hath been written, My Son thou art — I to-day have begotten thee.
33 fel y mae'n ysgrifenedig hefyd yn yr ail Salm: 'Fy mab wyt ti; myfi a'th genhedlodd di heddiw.'
34`And that He did raise him up out of the dead, no more to return to corruption, he hath said thus — I will give to you the faithful kindnesses of David;
34 Ac ynglu375?n 'i fod wedi ei atgyfodi ef oddi wrth y meirw, byth i ddychwelyd mwy i lygredigaeth, y mae wedi dweud fel hyn: 'Rhoddaf i chwi y pethau sanctaidd sy'n perthyn i Ddafydd, y pethau sicr.'
35wherefore also in another [place] he saith, Thou shalt not give Thy kind One to see corruption,
35 Oherwydd mewn lle arall eto y mae'n dweud: 'Ni adewi i'th Sanct weld llygredigaeth.'
36for David, indeed, his own generation having served by the will of God, did fall asleep, and was added unto his fathers, and saw corruption,
36 Canys Dafydd, wedi iddo yn ei genhedlaeth ei hun wasanaethu ewyllys Duw, fe hunodd ef, ac fe'i rhoddwyd i orffwys gyda'i dadau, a gwelodd lygredigaeth;
37but he whom God did raise up, did not see corruption.
37 ond yr hwn a gyfododd Duw, ni welodd hwnnw lygredigaeth.
38`Let it therefore be known to you, men, brethren, that through this one to you is the forgiveness of sins declared,
38 Felly bydded hysbys i chwi, frodyr, mai trwy hwn y cyhoeddir i chwi faddeuant pechodau,
39and from all things from which ye were not able in the law of Moses to be declared righteous, in this one every one who is believing is declared righteous;
39 a thrwy hwn y rhyddheir pawb sy'n credu oddi wrth yr holl bethau nad oedd modd eich rhyddhau oddi wrthynt trwy Gyfraith Moses.
40see, therefore, it may not come upon you that hath been spoken in the prophets:
40 Gwyliwch, ynteu, na ddaw arnoch yr hyn a ddywedwyd yn y proffwydi:
41See, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish, because a work I — I do work in your days, a work in which ye may not believe, though any one may declare [it] to you.`
41 'Gwelwch, chwi ddirmygwyr, a rhyfeddwch, a diflannwch, oherwydd yr wyf fi'n cyflawni gweithred yn eich dyddiau chwi, gweithred na chredwch ynddi byth, er ei hadrodd yn llawn ichwi.'"
42And having gone forth out of the synagogue of the Jews, the nations were calling upon [them] that on the next sabbath these sayings may be spoken to them,
42 Wrth iddynt fynd allan, yr oedd y bobl yn deisyf arnynt lefaru'r pethau hyn wrthynt y Saboth wedyn.
43and the synagogue having been dismissed, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes did follow Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, were persuading them to remain in the grace of God.
43 Wedi i'r gynulleidfa gael ei gollwng, aeth llawer o'r Iddewon, ac o'r proselytiaid oedd yn addolwyr Duw, ar l Paul a Barnabas, a buont hwythau yn llefaru wrthynt a'u hannog i lynu wrth ras Duw.
44And on the coming sabbath, almost all the city was gathered together to hear the word of God,
44 Y Saboth dilynol, daeth yr holl ddinas bron ynghyd i glywed gair yr Arglwydd.
45and the Jews having seen the multitudes, were filled with zeal, and did contradict the things spoken by Paul — contradicting and speaking evil.
45 Pan welodd yr Iddewon y tyrfaoedd fe'u llanwyd chenfigen, ac yr oeddent yn gwrthddweud y pethau yr oedd Paul yn eu llefaru, gan ei ddifenwi.
46And speaking boldly, Paul and Barnabas said, `To you it was necessary that first the word of God be spoken, and seeing ye do thrust it away, and do not judge yourselves worthy of the life age-during, lo, we do turn to the nations;
46 Yna llefarodd Paul a Barnabas yn hy: "I chwi," meddent, "yr oedd yn rhaid llefaru gair Duw yn gyntaf. Ond gan eich bod yn ei wrthod, ac yn eich dyfarnu eich hunain yn annheilwng o'r bywyd tragwyddol, dyma ni'n troi at y Cenhedloedd.
47for so hath the Lord commanded us: I have set thee for a light of nations — for thy being for salvation unto the end of the earth.`
47 Oblegid hyn yw gorchymyn yr Arglwydd i ni: 'Gosodais di yn oleuni'r Cenhedloedd, iti fod yn gyfrwng iachawdwriaeth hyd eithaf y ddaear.'"
48And the nations hearing were glad, and were glorifying the word of the Lord, and did believe — as many as were appointed to life age-during;
48 Wrth glywed hyn, yr oedd y Cenhedloedd yn llawenychu a gogoneddu gair yr Arglwydd, a chredodd cynifer ag oedd wedi eu penodi i fywyd tragwyddol.
49and the word of the Lord was spread abroad through all the region.
49 Yr oedd gair yr Arglwydd yn ymdaenu drwy'r holl fro.
50And the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the first men of the city, and did raise persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and did put them out from their borders;
50 Ond fe gyffrdd yr Iddewon y gwragedd bonheddig oedd yn addolwyr Duw, a phrif wu375?r y ddinas, a chodasant erlid yn erbyn Paul a Barnabas, a'u bwrw allan o'u hardal.
51and they having shaken off the dust of their feet against them, came to Iconium,
51 Ysgydwasant hwythau'r llwch oddi ar eu traed yn eu herbyn, a daethant i Iconium.
52and the disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.
52 A llanwyd y disgyblion llawenydd ac 'r Ysbryd Gln.
