1And it came to pass, at our sailing, having been parted from them, having run direct, we came to Coos, and the succeeding [day] to Rhodes, and thence to Patara,
1 Wedi i ni ymadael hwy a chodi angor, daethom ar union hynt i Cos, a thrannoeth i Rhodos, ac oddi yno i Patara.
2and having found a ship passing over to Phenicia, having gone on board, we sailed,
2 Cawsom long yn croesi i Phoenicia, ac aethom arni a hwylio ymaith.
3and having discovered Cyprus, and having left it on the left, we were sailing to Syria, and did land at Tyre, for there was the ship discharging the lading.
3 Wedi dod i olwg Cyprus, a'i gadael ar y chwith, hwyliasom ymlaen i Syria, a glanio yn Tyrus, oherwydd yno yr oedd y llong yn dadlwytho.
4And having found out the disciples, we tarried there seven days, and they said to Paul, through the Spirit, not to go up to Jerusalem;
4 Daethom o hyd i'r disgyblion, ac aros yno saith diwrnod; a dywedodd y rhain wrth Paul trwy'r Ysbryd am beidio mynd ymlaen i Jerwsalem.
5but when it came that we completed the days, having gone forth, we went on, all bringing us on the way, with women and children, unto the outside of the city, and having bowed the knees upon the shore, we prayed,
5 Ond pan ddaeth ein dyddiau yno i ben, ymadawsom ar ein taith, a phawb ohonynt, ynghyd 'u gwragedd a'u plant, yn ein hebrwng i'r tu allan i'r ddinas. Aethom ar ein gliniau ar y traeth, a gweddo,
6and having embraced one another, we embarked in the ship, and they returned to their own friends.
6 a ffarwelio 'n gilydd. Yna dringasom ar fwrdd y llong, a dychwelsant hwythau adref.
7And we, having finished the course, from Tyre came down to Ptolemais, and having saluted the brethren, we remained one day with them;
7 Daeth ein mordaith o Tyrus i ben wrth inni gyrraedd Ptolemais. Cyfarchasom y credinwyr yno ac aros un diwrnod gyda hwy.
8and on the morrow Paul and his company having gone forth, we came to Cesarea, and having entered into the house of Philip the evangelist — who is of the seven — we remained with him,
8 Trannoeth, aethom ymaith a dod i Gesarea; ac aethom i mewn i du375? Philip yr efengylwr, un o'r Saith, ac aros gydag ef.
9and this one had four daughters, virgins, prophesying.
9 Yr oedd gan hwn bedair merch ddibriod, a dawn proffwydo ganddynt.
10And we remaining many more days, there came down a certain one from Judea, a prophet, by name Agabus,
10 Yn ystod y dyddiau lawer y buom gydag ef, daeth dyn i lawr o Jwdea, proffwyd o'r enw Agabus.
11and he having come unto us, and having taken up the girdle of Paul, having bound also his own hands and feet, said, `Thus saith the Holy Spirit, The man whose is this girdle — so shall the Jews in Jerusalem bind, and they shall deliver [him] up to the hands of nations.`
11 Daeth atom, a chymryd gwregys Paul, a rhwymo'i draed a'i ddwylo ei hun, a dywedodd, "Dyma eiriau'r Ysbryd Gln: 'Y gu373?r biau'r gwregys hwn, fel hyn y rhwyma'r Iddewon ef yn Jerwsalem, a'i draddodi i ddwylo'r Cenhedloedd.'"
12And when we heard these things, we called upon [him] — both we, and those of that place — not to go up to Jerusalem,
12 Pan glywsom hyn, dechreusom ni a phobl y lle erfyn arno beidio mynd i fyny i Jerwsalem.
13and Paul answered, `What do ye — weeping, and crushing mine heart? for I, not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem, am ready, for the name of the Lord Jesus;`
13 Yna atebodd Paul, "Beth yr ydych yn ei wneud, yn wylo ac yn torri fy nghalon? Oherwydd yr wyf fi'n barod, nid yn unig i gael fy rhwymo, ond hyd yn oed i farw, yn Jerwsalem, er mwyn enw'r Arglwydd Iesu."
14and he not being persuaded, we were silent, saying, `The will of the Lord be done.`
14 A chan nad oedd modd cael perswd arno, tawsom gan ddweud, "Gwneler ewyllys yr Arglwydd."
15And after these days, having taken [our] vessels, we were going up to Jerusalem,
15 Wedi'r dyddiau hyn, gwnaethom ein paratoadau a chychwyn i fyny i Jerwsalem;
16and there went also of the disciples from Cesarea with us, bringing with them him with whom we may lodge, a certain Mnason of Cyprus, an aged disciple.
16 ac fe ddaeth rhai o'r disgyblion o Gesarea gyda ni, gan ddod ni i du375?'r gu373?r yr oeddem i letya gydag ef, Mnason o Cyprus, un oedd wedi bod yn ddisgybl o'r dechrau.
17And we having come to Jerusalem, the brethren did gladly receive us,
17 Wedi inni gyrraedd Jerwsalem, cawsom groeso llawen gan y credinwyr.
18and on the morrow Paul was going in with us unto James, all the elders also came,
18 A thrannoeth, aeth Paul gyda ni at Iago, ac yr oedd yr henuriaid i gyd yno.
19and having saluted them, he was declaring, one by one, each of the things God did among the nations through his ministration,
19 Ar l eu cyfarch, adroddodd yn fanwl y pethau yr oedd Duw wedi eu gwneud ymhlith y Cenhedloedd trwy ei weinidogaeth.
20and they having heard, were glorifying the Lord. They said also to him, `Thou seest, brother, how many myriads there are of Jews who have believed, and all are zealous of the law,
20 O glywed hyn, rhoesant ogoniant i Dduw. Yna meddent wrth Paul, "Yr wyt yn gweld, frawd, fod credinwyr dirifedi ymhlith yr Iddewon, ac y maent i gyd yn selog dros y Gyfraith;
21and they are instructed concerning thee, that apostacy from Moses thou dost teach to all Jews among the nations, saying — Not to circumcise the children, nor after the customs to walk;
21 a chawsant wybodaeth amdanat ti, dy fod yn dysgu'r holl Iddewon sydd ymysg y Cenhedloedd i wrthgilio oddi wrth Moses, gan ddweud wrthynt am beidio ag enwaedu ar eu plant na byw yn l ein defodau.
22what then is it? certainly the multitude it behoveth to come together, for they will hear that thou hast come.
22 Beth sydd i'w wneud, felly? Y maent yn siu373?r o glywed dy fod wedi dod.
23`This, therefore, do that we say to thee: We have four men having a vow on themselves,
23 Felly, gwna'r hyn a ddywedwn wrthyt. Y mae gennym bedwar dyn sydd dan lw.
24these having taken, be purified with them, and be at expence with them, that they may shave the head, and all may know that the things of which they have been instructed concerning thee are nothing, but thou dost walk — thyself also — the law keeping.
24 Cymer y rhain, a dos di gyda hwy trwy ddefod y pureiddio, a thl y gost drostynt, iddynt gael eillio eu pennau; yna fe wl pawb nad oes dim yn y wybodaeth a gawsant amdanat, ond dy fod tithau hefyd yn dilyn ac yn cadw'r Gyfraith.
25`And concerning those of the nations who have believed, we have written, having given judgment, that they observe no such thing, except to keep themselves both from idol-sacrifices, and blood, and a strangled thing, and whoredom.`
25 Ond am y credinwyr o blith y Cenhedloedd, yr ydym ni wedi ysgrifennu atynt a rhoi ein dyfarniad, eu bod i ymgadw rhag bwyta yr hyn a aberthwyd i eilunod, neu waed, neu'r hyn a dagwyd, a rhag anfoesoldeb rhywiol."
26Then Paul, having taken the men, on the following day, with them having purified himself, was entering into the temple, announcing the fulfilment of the days of the purification, till the offering was offered for each one of them.
26 Yna fe gymerodd Paul y gwu375?r, a thrannoeth aeth trwy ddefod y pureiddio gyda hwy, ac aeth i mewn i'r deml, i roi rhybudd pa bryd y cyflawnid dyddiau'r pureiddio ac yr offrymid yr offrwm dros bob un ohonynt.
27And, as the seven days were about to be fully ended, the Jews from Asia having beheld him in the temple, were stirring up all the multitude, and they laid hands upon him,
27 Ond pan oedd y saith diwrnod bron ar ben, gwelodd yr Iddewon o Asia ef yn y deml. Codasant gynnwrf yn yr holl dyrfa, a chymryd gafael ynddo,
28crying out, `Men, Israelites, help! this is the man who, against the people, and the law, and this place, all everywhere is teaching; and further, also, Greeks he brought into the temple, and hath defiled this holy place;`
28 gan weiddi, "Chwi Israeliaid, helpwch ni. Hwn yw'r dyn sy'n dysgu pawb ym mhob man yn erbyn ein pobl a'r Gyfraith a'r lle hwn, ac sydd hefyd wedi dod Groegiaid i mewn i'r deml, a halogi'r lle sanctaidd hwn."
29for they had seen before Trophimus, the Ephesian, in the city with him, whom they were supposing that Paul brought into the temple.
29 Oherwydd yr oeddent cyn hynny wedi gweld Troffimus yr Effesiad yn y ddinas gydag ef, ac yr oeddent yn meddwl fod Paul wedi dod ag ef i mewn i'r deml.
30All the city also was moved and there was a running together of the people, and having laid hold on Paul, they were drawing him out of the temple, and immediately were the doors shut,
30 Cyffrowyd yr holl ddinas, a rhuthrodd y bobl ynghyd. Cymerasant afael yn Paul, a'i lusgo allan o'r deml, a chaewyd y drysau ar unwaith.
31and they seeking to kill him, a rumour came to the chief captain of the band that all Jerusalem hath been thrown into confusion,
31 Fel yr oeddent yn ceisio'i ladd ef, daeth neges at gapten y fintai fod Jerwsalem i gyd mewn cynnwrf.
32who, at once, having taken soldiers and centurions, ran down upon them, and they having seen the chief captain and the soldiers, did leave off beating Paul.
32 Cymerodd yntau ar unwaith filwyr a chanwriaid, a rhedeg i lawr atynt; a phan welsant hwy'r capten a'r milwyr, rhoesant y gorau i guro Paul.
33Then the chief captain, having come nigh, took him, and commanded [him] to be bound with two chains, and was inquiring who he may be, and what it is he hath been doing,
33 Yna daeth y capten atynt, a chymryd gafael yn Paul, a gorchymyn ei rwymo dwy gadwyn. Dechreuodd holi pwy oedd, a beth yr oedd wedi ei wneud.
34and some were crying out one thing, and some another, among the multitude, and not being able to know the certainty because of the tumult, he commanded him to be carried to the castle,
34 Yr oedd rhai yn y dyrfa yn bloeddio un peth, ac eraill beth arall. A chan na allai ddod o hyd i'r gwir oherwydd y dwndwr, gorchmynnodd ei ddwyn i'r pencadlys.
35and when he came upon the steps, it happened he was borne by the soldiers, because of the violence of the multitude,
35 A phan ddaeth Paul at y grisiau, bu raid i'r milwyr ei gario oherwydd ffyrnigrwydd y dyrfa,
36for the crowd of the people was following after, crying, `Away with him.`
36 oblegid yr oedd tyrfa o bobl yn canlyn dan weiddi, "Ymaith ag ef!"
37And Paul being about to be led into the castle, saith to the chief captain, `Is it permitted to me to say anything unto thee?` and he said, `Greek dost thou know?
37 Pan oedd ar fin cael ei ddwyn i mewn i'r pencadlys, dyma Paul yn dweud wrth y capten, "A gaf fi ddweud gair wrthyt?" Meddai yntau, "A wyt ti yn medru Groeg?
38art not thou, then, the Egyptian who before these days made an uprising, and did lead into the desert the four thousand men of the assassins?`
38 Nid tydi felly yw'r Eifftiwr a gododd derfysg beth amser yn l ac a arweiniodd allan i'r anialwch y pedair mil o derfysgwyr arfog?"
39And Paul said, `I, indeed, am a man, a Jew, of Tarsus of Cilicia, of no mean city a citizen; and I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people.`
39 Dywedodd Paul, "Iddew wyf fi, o Darsus yn Cilicia, dinesydd o ddinas nid dinod; ac 'rwy'n erfyn arnat, caniat imi lefaru wrth y bobl."
40And he having given him leave, Paul having stood upon the stairs, did beckon with the hand to the people, and there having been a great silence, he spake unto them in the Hebrew dialect, saying:
40 Ac wedi iddo gael caniatd, safodd Paul ar y grisiau, a gwnaeth arwydd 'i law ar y bobl, ac ar l cael distawrwydd llwyr anerchodd hwy yn iaith yr Iddewon, gan ddweud:
