1My spirit hath been destroyed, My days extinguished — graves [are] for me.
1 "Llesgaodd fy ysbryd, ciliodd fy nyddiau; beddrod fydd fy rhan.
2If not — mockeries [are] with me. And in their provocations mine eye lodgeth.
2 Yn wir y mae gwatwarwyr o'm cwmpas; pyla fy llygaid wrth iddynt wawdio.
3Place, I pray Thee, my pledge with Thee; Who is he that striketh hand with me?
3 "Gosod dy hun yn feichiau drosof; pwy arall a rydd wystl ar fy rhan?
4For their heart Thou hast hidden From understanding, Therefore Thou dost not exalt them.
4 Oherwydd iti gadw eu calon rhag deall, ni fydd i ti eu dyrchafu.
5For a portion he sheweth friendship, And the eyes of his sons are consumed.
5 Pan fydd rhywun yn gwenieithu ei gyfeillion, bydd llygaid ei blant yn pylu.
6And he set me up for a proverb of the peoples, And a wonder before them I am.
6 "Gwnaeth fi'n ddihareb i'r bobl; yr wyf yn un y maent yn poeri arno.
7And dim from sorrow is mine eye, And my members as a shadow all of them.
7 Pylodd fy llygaid o achos gofid; aeth fy nghorff i gyd fel cysgod.
8Astonished are the upright at this, And the innocent against the profane Stirreth himself up.
8 Synna'r cyfiawn at y fath beth, a ffyrniga'r uniawn yn erbyn yr annuwiol.
9And the righteous layeth hold [on] his way, And the clean of hands addeth strength, And — dumb are they all.
9 Fe geidw'r cyfiawn at ei ffordd, a bydd y gln ei ddwylo yn ychwanegu nerth.
10Return, and come in, I pray you, And I find not among you a wise man.
10 Pe baech i gyd yn rhoi ailgynnig, eto ni chawn neb doeth yn eich plith.
11My days have passed by, My devices have been broken off, The possessions of my heart!
11 "Ciliodd fy nyddiau; methodd f'amcanion a dyhead fy nghalon.
12Night for day they appoint, Light [is] near because of darkness.
12 Gwnnt y nos yn ddydd dewisant weld goleuni er gwaethaf y tywyllwch.
13If I wait — Sheol [is] my house, In darkness I have spread out my couch.
13 Pa obaith sydd gennyf? Sheol fydd fy nghartref; cyweiriaf fy ngwely yn y tywyllwch;
14To corruption I have called: — `Thou [art] my father.` `My mother` and `my sister` — to the worm.
14 dywedaf wrth y pwll, 'Ti yw fy nhad', ac wrth lyngyr, 'Fy mam a'm chwaer'.
15And where [is] now my hope? Yea, my hope, who doth behold it?
15 Ble, felly, y mae fy ngobaith? A phwy a wl obaith imi?
16[To] the parts of Sheol ye go down, If together on the dust we may rest.
16 Oni ddisgyn y rhai hyn i Sheol? Onid awn i gyd i'r llwch?"
