Luke

20

1And it came to pass, on one of those days, as he is teaching the people in the temple, and proclaiming good news, the chief priests and the scribes, with the elders, came upon [him],
1 Un o'r dyddiau pan oedd ef yn dysgu'r bobl yn y deml ac yn cyhoeddi'r newydd da, daeth y prif offeiriaid a'r ysgrifenyddion, ynghyd 'r henuriaid, ato,
2and spake unto him, saying, `Tell us by what authority thou dost these things? or who is he that gave to thee this authority?`
2 ac meddent wrtho, "Dywed wrthym trwy ba awdurdod yr wyt ti'n gwneud y pethau hyn, neu pwy roddodd i ti'r awdurdod hwn."
3And he answering said unto them, `I will question you — I also — one thing, and tell me:
3 Atebodd ef hwy, "Fe ofynnaf finnau rywbeth i chwi. Dywedwch wrthyf:
4the baptism of John, from heaven was it, or from men?`
4 bedydd Ioan, ai o'r nef yr oedd, ai o'r byd daearol?"
5And they reasoned with themselves, saying — `If we may say, From heaven, he will say, Wherefore, then, did ye not believe him?
5 Dadleusant 'i gilydd gan ddweud, "Os dywedwn, 'o'r nef', fe ddywed, 'Pam na chredasoch ef?'
6and if we may say, From men, all the people will stone us, for they are having been persuaded John to be a prophet.`
6 Ond os dywedwn, 'O'r byd daearol', bydd yr holl bobl yn ein llabyddio, oherwydd y maent yn argyhoeddedig fod Ioan yn broffwyd."
7And they answered, that they knew not whence [it was],
7 Ac atebasant nad oeddent yn gwybod o ble'r oedd.
8and Jesus said to them, `Neither do I say to you by what authority I do these things.`
8 Meddai Iesu wrthynt, "Ni ddywedaf finnau chwaith wrthych chwi trwy ba awdurdod yr wyf yn gwneud y pethau hyn."
9And he began to speak unto the people this simile: `A certain man planted a vineyard, and gave it out to husbandmen, and went abroad for a long time,
9 Dechreuodd ddweud y ddameg hon wrth y bobl: "Fe blannodd rhywun winllan, ac wedi iddo ei gosod hi i denantiaid, aeth oddi cartref am amser hir.
10and at the season he sent unto the husbandmen a servant, that from the fruit of the vineyard they may give to him, but the husbandmen having beat him, did send [him] away empty.
10 Pan ddaeth yn amser, anfonodd was at y tenantiaid iddynt roi iddo gyfran o ffrwyth y winllan. Ond ei guro a wnaeth y tenantiaid, a'i yrru i ffwrdd yn waglaw.
11`And he added to send another servant, and they that one also having beaten and dishonoured, did send away empty;
11 Anfonodd ef was arall, ond curasant hwn hefyd a'i amharchu, a'i yrru i ffwrdd yn waglaw.
12and he added to send a third, and this one also, having wounded, they did cast out.
12 Anfonodd ef drachefn drydydd, ond clwyfasant hwn hefyd a'i fwrw allan.
13`And the owner of the vineyard said, What shall I do? I will send my son — the beloved, perhaps having seen this one, they will do reverence;
13 Yna meddai perchen y winllan, 'Beth a wnaf fi? Fe anfonaf fy mab, yr anwylyd; efallai y parchant ef.'
14and having seen him, the husbandmen reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir; come, we may kill him, that the inheritance may become ours;
14 Ond pan welodd y tenantiaid hwn, dechreusant drafod ymhlith ei gilydd gan ddweud, 'Hwn yw'r etifedd; lladdwn ef, er mwyn i'r etifeddiaeth ddod yn eiddo i ni.'
15and having cast him outside of the vineyard, they killed [him]; what, then, shall the owner of the vineyard do to them?
15 A bwriasant ef allan o'r winllan a'i ladd. Beth ynteu a wna perchen y winllan iddynt?
16He will come, and destroy these husbandmen, and will give the vineyard to others.` And having heard, they said, `Let it not be!`
16 Fe ddaw ac fe ddifetha'r tenantiaid hynny, ac fe rydd y winllan i eraill." Pan glywsant hyn meddent, "Na ato Duw!"
17and he, having looked upon them, said, `What, then, is this that hath been written: A stone that the builders rejected — this became head of a corner?
17 Edrychodd ef arnynt a dweud, "Beth felly yw ystyr yr Ysgrythur hon: 'Y maen a wrthododd yr adeiladwyr, hwn a ddaeth yn faen y gongl'?
18every one who hath fallen on that stone shall be broken, and on whom it may fall, it will crush him to pieces.`
18 Pawb sy'n syrthio ar y maen hwn, fe'i dryllir; pwy bynnag y syrth y maen arno, fe'i maluria."
19And the chief priests and the scribes sought to lay hands on him in that hour, and they feared the people, for they knew that against them he spake this simile.
19 Ceisiodd yr ysgrifenyddion a'r prif offeiriaid osod dwylo arno y pryd hwnnw, ond yr oedd arnynt ofn y bobl, oherwydd gwyddent mai yn eu herbyn hwy y dywedodd y ddameg hon.
20And, having watched [him], they sent forth liers in wait, feigning themselves to be righteous, that they might take hold of his word, to deliver him up to the rule and to the authority of the governor,
20 Gwyliasant eu cyfle ac anfon ysbiwyr, yn rhith pobl onest, i'w ddal ef ar air, er mwyn ei draddodi i awdurdod brawdlys y rhaglaw.
21and they questioned him, saying, `Teacher, we have known that thou dost say and teach rightly, and dost not accept a person, but in truth the way of God dost teach;
21 Gofynasant iddo, "Athro, gwyddom fod dy eiriau a'th ddysgeidiaeth yn gywir; yr wyt yn ddi-dderbyn-wyneb, ac yn dysgu ffordd Duw yn gwbl ddiffuant.
22Is it lawful to us to give tribute to Caesar or not?`
22 A yw'n gyfreithlon inni dalu treth i Gesar, ai nid yw?"
23And he, having perceived their craftiness, said unto them, `Why me do ye tempt?
23 Ond deallodd ef eu hystryw, ac meddai wrthynt,
24shew me a denary; of whom hath it an image and superscription?` and they answering said, `Of Caesar:`
24 "Dangoswch imi ddarn arian. Llun ac arysgrif pwy sydd arno?" "Cesar," meddent hwy.
25and he said to them, `Give back, therefore, the things of Caesar to Caesar, and the things of God to God;`
25 Dywedodd ef wrthynt, "Gan hynny, talwch bethau Cesar i Gesar, a phethau Duw i Dduw."
26and they were not able to take hold on his saying before the people, and having wondered at his answer, they were silent.
26 Yr oeddent wedi methu ei ddal ar air o flaen y bobl, a chan ryfeddu at ei ateb aethant yn fud.
27And certain of the Sadducees, who are denying that there is a rising again, having come near, questioned him,
27 Daeth ato rai o'r Sadwceaid, y bobl sy'n dal nad oes dim atgyfodiad. Gofynasant iddo,
28saying, `Teacher, Moses wrote to us, If any one`s brother may die, having a wife, and he may die childless — that his brother may take the wife, and may raise up seed to his brother.
28 "Athro, ysgrifennodd Moses ar ein cyfer, os bydd rhywun farw yn u373?r priod, ond yn ddi-blant, fod ei frawd i gymryd y wraig ac i godi plant i'w frawd.
29`There were, then, seven brothers, and the first having taken a wife, died childless,
29 Yn awr, yr oedd saith o frodyr. Cymerodd y cyntaf wraig, a bu farw'n ddi-blant.
30and the second took the wife, and he died childless,
30 Cymerodd yr ail
31and the third took her, and in like manner also the seven — they left not children, and they died;
31 a'r trydydd hi, ac yn yr un modd bu'r saith farw heb adael plant.
32and last of all died also the woman:
32 Yn ddiweddarach bu farw'r wraig hithau.
33in the rising again, then, of which of them doth she become wife? — for the seven had her as wife.`
33 Beth am y wraig felly? Yn yr atgyfodiad, gwraig prun ohonynt fydd hi? Oherwydd cafodd y saith hi'n wraig."
34And Jesus answering said to them, `The sons of this age do marry and are given in marriage,
34 Meddai Iesu wrthynt, "Y mae plant y byd hwn yn priodi ac yn cael eu priodi;
35but those accounted worthy to obtain that age, and the rising again that is out of the dead, neither marry, nor are they given in marriage;
35 ond y rhai a gafwyd yn deilwng i gyrraedd y byd hwnnw a'r atgyfodiad oddi wrth y meirw, ni phriodant ac ni phriodir hwy.
36for neither are they able to die any more — for they are like messengers — and they are sons of God, being sons of the rising again.
36 Ni allant farw mwyach, oherwydd y maent fel angylion. Plant Duw ydynt, am eu bod yn blant yr atgyfodiad.
37`And that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the Bush, since he doth call the Lord, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob;
37 Ond bod y meirw yn codi, y mae Moses yntau wedi dangos hynny yn hanes y Berth, pan ddywed, 'Arglwydd Dduw Abraham a Duw Isaac a Duw Jacob'.
38and He is not a God of dead men, but of living, for all live to Him.`
38 Nid Duw'r meirw yw ef, ond y rhai byw, oherwydd y mae pawb yn fyw iddo ef."
39And certain of the scribes answering said, `Teacher, thou didst say well;`
39 Atebodd rhai o'r ysgrifenyddion, "Athro, da y dywedaist",
40and no more durst they question him anything.
40 oherwydd ni feiddient mwyach ei holi am ddim.
41And he said unto them, `How do they say the Christ to be son of David,
41 A dywedodd wrthynt, "Sut y mae pobl yn gallu dweud fod y Meseia yn Fab Dafydd?
42and David himself saith in the Book of Psalms, The Lord said to my lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
42 Oherwydd y mae Dafydd ei hun yn dweud yn llyfr y Salmau: 'Dywedodd yr Arglwydd wrth fy Arglwydd i, "Eistedd ar fy neheulaw
43till I shall make thine enemies thy footstool;
43 nes imi osod dy elynion yn droedfainc i'th draed."'
44David, then, doth call him lord, and how is he his son?`
44 Yn awr, y mae Dafydd yn ei alw'n Arglwydd; sut felly y mae'n fab iddo?"
45And, all the people hearing, he said to his disciples,
45 A'r holl bobl yn gwrando, meddai wrth ei ddisgyblion,
46`Take heed of the scribes, who are wishing to walk in long robes, and are loving salutations in the markets, and first seats in the synagogues, and first couches in the suppers,
46 "Gochelwch rhag yr ysgrifenyddion sy'n hoffi rhodianna mewn gwisgoedd llaes, sy'n caru cael cyfarchiadau yn y marchnadoedd, a'r prif gadeiriau yn y synagogau, a'r seddau anrhydedd mewn gwleddoedd,
47who devour the houses of the widows, and for a pretence make long prayers, these shall receive more abundant judgment.`
47 ac sy'n difa cartrefi gwragedd gweddwon, ac mewn rhagrith yn gweddo'n faith; fe dderbyn y rhain drymach dedfryd."
