¹And on the eve of the sabbaths, at the dawn, toward the first of the sabbaths, came Mary the Magdalene, and the other Mary, to see the sepulchre,

¹ Ar �l y Saboth, a dydd cyntaf yr wythnos ar wawrio, daeth Mair Magdalen a'r Fair arall i edrych ar y bedd.

²and lo, there came a great earthquake, for a messenger of the Lord, having come down out of heaven, having come, did roll away the stone from the door, and was sitting upon it,

² A bu daeargryn mawr; daeth angel yr Arglwydd i lawr o'r nef, ac aeth at y maen a'i dreiglo i ffwrdd ac eistedd arno.

³and his countenance was as lightning, and his clothing white as snow,

³ Yr oedd ei wedd fel mellten a'i wisg yn wyn fel eira.

⁴and from the fear of him did the keepers shake, and they became as dead men.

⁴ Yn eu dychryn o'i weld, crynodd y gwarchodwyr, ac aethant fel rhai marw.

⁵And the messenger answering said to the women, `Fear not ye, for I have known that Jesus, who hath been crucified, ye seek;

⁵ Ond llefarodd yr angel wrth y gwragedd: "Peidiwch chwi ag ofni," meddai. "Gwn mai ceisio Iesu, a groeshoeliwyd, yr ydych.

⁶he is not here, for he rose, as he said; come, see the place where the Lord was lying;

⁶ Nid yw ef yma, oherwydd y mae wedi ei gyfodi, fel y dywedodd y byddai; dewch i weld y man lle y bu'n gorwedd.

⁷and having gone quickly, say ye to his disciples, that he rose from the dead; and lo, he doth go before you to Galilee, there ye shall see him; lo, I have told you.`

⁷ Ac yna ewch ar frys i ddweud wrth ei ddisgyblion, 'Y mae wedi ei gyfodi oddi wrth y meirw, ac yn awr y mae'n mynd o'ch blaen chwi i Galilea; yno y gwelwch ef.' Dyna fy neges i chwi."

⁸And having gone forth quickly from the tomb, with fear and great joy, they ran to tell to his disciples;

⁸ Aethant ymaith ar frys oddi wrth y bedd, mewn ofn a llawenydd mawr, a rhedeg i ddweud wrth ei ddisgyblion.

⁹and as they were going to tell to his disciples, then lo, Jesus met them, saying, `Hail!` and they having come near, laid hold of his feet, and did bow to him.

⁹ A dyma Iesu'n cyfarfod � hwy a dweud, "Henffych well!" Aethant ato a gafael yn ei draed a'i addoli.

¹⁰Then saith Jesus to them, `Fear ye not, go away, tell to my brethren that they may go away to Galilee, and there they shall see me.`

¹⁰ Yna meddai Iesu wrthynt, "Peidiwch ag ofni; ewch a dywedwch wrth fy mrodyr am fynd i Galilea, ac yno fe'm gwelant i."

¹¹And while they are going on, lo, certain of the watch having come to the city, told to the chief priests all the things that happened,

¹¹ Tra oedd y gwragedd ar eu ffordd, dyma rai o'r gwarchodlu yn mynd i'r ddinas ac yn dweud wrth y prif offeiriaid am yr holl bethau a ddigwyddodd.

¹²and having been gathered together with the elders, counsel also having taken, they gave much money to the soldiers,

¹² Ac wedi iddynt ymgynnull gyda'r henuriaid ac ymgynghori, rhoesant swm sylweddol o arian i'r milwyr,

¹³saying, `Say ye, that his disciples having come by night, stole him — we being asleep;

¹³ gan ddweud wrthynt, "Dywedwch fod ei ddisgyblion ef wedi dod yn y nos, a'i ladrata tra oeddech chwi'n cysgu.

¹⁴and if this be heard by the governor, we will persuade him, and you keep free from anxiety.`

¹⁴ Ac os daw hyn i glyw y rhaglaw, fe'i perswadiwn ni ef a sicrhau na fydd raid ichwi bryderu."

¹⁵And they, having received the money, did as they were taught, and this account was spread abroad among Jews till this day.

¹⁵ Cymerodd y milwyr yr arian a gwneud fel y cawsant eu cyfarwyddo. Taenwyd y stori hon ar led ymysg Iddewon hyd y dydd heddiw.

¹⁶And the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mount where Jesus appointed them,

¹⁶ Aeth yr un disgybl ar ddeg i Galilea i'r mynydd lle y trefnodd Iesu iddynt fod;

¹⁷and having seen him, they bowed to him, but some did waver.

¹⁷ a phan welsant ef addolasant ef, er bod rhai yn amau.

¹⁸And having come near, Jesus spake to them, saying, `Given to me was all authority in heaven and on earth;

¹⁸ Daeth Iesu atynt a llefaru wrthynt: "Rhoddwyd i mi," meddai, "bob awdurdod yn y nef ac ar y ddaear.

¹⁹having gone, then, disciple all the nations, (baptizing them — to the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

¹⁹ Ewch, gan hynny, a gwnewch ddisgyblion o'r holl genhedloedd, gan eu bedyddio hwy yn enw'r Tad a'r Mab a'r Ysbryd Gl�n,

²⁰teaching them to observe all, whatever I did command you,) and lo, I am with you all the days — till the full end of the age.`

²⁰ a dysgu iddynt gadw'r holl orchmynion a roddais i chwi. Ac yn awr, yr wyf fi gyda chwi bob amser hyd ddiwedd amser."
