1A Secret Treasure of David. Preserve me, O God, for I did trust in Thee.
1Taaveti mõistulaul. Kaitse mind, Jumal, sest ma otsin pelgupaika sinu juures!
2Thou hast said to Jehovah, `My Lord Thou [art];` My good [is] not for thine own sake;
2Ma ütlesin Issandale: 'Sina oled mu Issand, ei mul ole head ilma sinuta.'
3For the holy ones who [are] in the land, And the honourable, all my delight [is] in them.
3Ja pühade kohta maa peal ma ütlesin: 'Nemad on need aulised, kellest mul on väga hea meel.'
4Multiplied are their griefs, [Who] have hastened backward; I pour not out their libations of blood, Nor do I take up their names on my lips.
4Palju piina saab neile, kes ruttavad teise jumala järele; ma ei taha valada nende vereohvreid ega võtta nende nimesid oma huultele.
5Jehovah [is] the portion of my share, and of my cup, Thou — Thou dost uphold my lot.
5Issand on mu põllu- ja mu karikaosa; sina hoiad alles, mis ma liisu teel olen saanud.
6Lines have fallen to me in pleasant places, Yea, a beauteous inheritance [is] for me.
6Mõõdunöörid on mulle langenud meeldivate paikade peale, ka on pärisosa ilus mu meelest.
7I bless Jehovah who hath counselled me; Also [in] the nights my reins instruct me.
7Ma tänan Issandat, kes mulle on nõu andnud; isegi öösiti manitsevad mind mu neerud.
8I did place Jehovah before me continually, Because — at my right hand I am not moved.
8Ma pean Issandat alati oma silma ees, ma ei kõigu, sest tema on mu paremal pool.
9Therefore hath my heart been glad, And my honour doth rejoice, Also my flesh dwelleth confidently:
9Sellepärast rõõmutseb mu süda ja mu hing ilutseb; ka mu ihu võib julgesti elada.
10For Thou dost not leave my soul to Sheol, Nor givest thy saintly one to see corruption.
10Sest sina ei jäta mu hinge surmavalla kätte ega lase oma vagal näha kõdunemist.
11Thou causest me to know the path of life; Fulness of joys [is] with Thy presence, Pleasant things by Thy right hand for ever!
11Sina annad mulle teada elu teeraja; rõõmu on rohkesti su palge ees, meeldivaid asju on su paremas käes alatiseks.
