1The burden of the wilderness of the sea. `Like hurricanes in the south for passing through, From the wilderness it hath come, From a fearful land.
1സമുദ്രതീരത്തെ മരുഭൂമിയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പ്രവാചകംതെക്കു ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റു അടിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, അതു മരുഭൂമിയില്നിന്നു ഭയങ്കരദേശത്തുനിന്നു തന്നേ വരുന്നു!
2A hard vision hath been declared to me, The treacherous dealer is dealing treacherously, And the destroyer is destroying. Go up, O Elam, besiege, O Media, All its sighing I have caused to cease.
2കഠിനമായോരു ദര്ശനം എനിക്കു വെളിപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ദ്രോഹി ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്യുന്നു; കവര്ച്ചക്കാരന് കവര്ച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഏലാമേ, കയറിച്ചെല്ലുക, മേദ്യയേ, നിരോധിച്ചുകൊള്ക; അതിന്റെ ഞരക്കമൊക്കെയും ഞാന് നിര്ത്തിക്കളയും.
3Therefore filled have been my loins [with] great pain, Pangs have seized me as pangs of a travailing woman, I have been bent down by hearing, I have been troubled by seeing.
3അതുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ അരയില് വേദന നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; നോവു കിട്ടിയ സ്ത്രീയുടെ നോവുപോലെയുള്ള വേദന എന്നെ പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എനിക്കു ചെവി കേട്ടുകൂടാതവണ്ണം ഞാന് അതിവേദനപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; കണ്ണു കാണാതവണ്ണം ഞാന് പരിഭ്രമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
4Wandered hath my heart, trembling hath terrified me, The twilight of my desire He hath made a fear to me,
4എന്റെ ഹൃദയം പതറുന്നു; ഭീതി എന്നെ ഭ്രമിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് കാംക്ഷിച്ച സന്ധ്യാസമയം അവന് എനിക്കു വിറയലാക്കിത്തീര്ത്തു.
5Arrange the table, watch in the watch-tower, Eat, drink, rise, ye heads, anoint the shield,
5മേശ ഒരുക്കുവിന് ; പരവതാനി വിരിപ്പിന് ; ഭക്ഷിച്ചു പാനം ചെയ്വിന് ; പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരേ, എഴുന്നേല്പിന് ; പരിചെക്കു എണ്ണ പൂശുവിന് .
6For thus said the Lord unto me: `Go, station the watchman, That which he seeth let him declare.`
6കര്ത്താവു എന്നോടുനീ ചെന്നു ഒരു കാവല്ക്കാരനെ നിര്ത്തിക്കൊള്ക; അവന് കാണുന്നതു അറിയിക്കട്ടെ.
7And he hath seen a chariot — a couple of horsemen, The rider of an ass, the rider of a camel, And he hath given attention — He hath increased attention!
7ഈരണ്ടീരണ്ടായി വരുന്ന കുതിരപ്പടയെയും കഴുതപ്പടയെയും ഒട്ടകപ്പടയെയും കാണുമ്പോള് അവന് ബഹുശ്രദ്ധയോടെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.
8And he crieth — a lion, `On a watch-tower my lord, I am standing continually by day, And on my ward I am stationed whole nights.
8അവന് ഒരു സിംഹംപോലെ അലറികര്ത്താവേ, ഞാന് പകല് ഇടവിടാതെ കാവല്നിലക്കുന്നു; രാത്രി മുഴുവനും ഞാന് കാവല് കാത്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
9And lo, this, the chariot of a man is coming, A couple of horsemen.` And he answereth and saith: `Fallen, fallen hath Babylon, And all the graven images of her gods He hath broken to the earth.
9ഇതാ, ഒരു കൂട്ടം കുതിരച്ചേവകര്; ഈരണ്ടീരണ്ടായി കുതിരപ്പട വരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. വീണു, ബാബേല് വീണു! അതിലെ ദേവന്മാരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളൊക്കെയും നിലത്തു വീണു തകര്ന്നു കിടക്കുന്നു എന്നും അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.
10O my threshing, and the son of my floor, That which I heard from Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel, I have declared to you!`
10എന്റെ മെതിയോ, എന്റെ കളത്തിലെ ധാന്യമേ, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു ഞാന് കേട്ടിട്ടുള്ളതു നിങ്ങളോടു അറിയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
11The burden of Dumah. Unto me is [one] calling from Seir `Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?`
11ദൂമയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പ്രവാചകംകാവല്ക്കാരാ, രാത്രി എന്തായി? കാവല്ക്കാരാ, രാത്രി എന്തായി? എന്നു ഒരുത്തന് സേയീരില്നിന്നു എന്നോടു വിളിച്ചുചോദിക്കുന്നു.
12The watchman hath said, `Come hath morning, and also night, If ye inquire, inquire ye, turn back, come.`
12അതിന്നു കാവല്ക്കാരന് പ്രഭാതവും രാത്രിയും വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ചോദിക്കേണമെങ്കില് ചോദിച്ചു കൊള്വിന് ; പോയി വരുവിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
13The burden on Arabia. In a forest in Arabia ye lodge, O travellers of Dedanim.
13അറബിദേശത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പ്രവാചകംദേദാന്യരുടെ സാര്ത്ഥഗണങ്ങളായുള്ളോരേ, നിങ്ങള് അറബിയിലെ കാട്ടില് രാപാര്പ്പിന് .
14To meet the thirsty brought water have Inhabitants of the land of Tema, With his bread they came before a fugitive.
14തേമാദേശനിവാസികളേ, നിങ്ങള് ദാഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവന്നു വെള്ളം കൊണ്ടുചെല്ലുവിന് ; ഔടിപ്പോകുന്നവരെ അപ്പവുമായി ചെന്നു എതിരേല്പിന് .
15For from the face of destructions they fled, From the face of a stretched-out sword, And from the face of a trodden bow, And from the face of the grievousness of battle.
15അവര് വാളിനെ ഒഴിഞ്ഞു ഔടിപ്പോകുന്നവരാകുന്നു; ഊരിയ വാളിനെയും കുലെച്ച വില്ലിനെയും യുദ്ധത്തിന്റെ കൊടുമയെയും ഒഴിഞ്ഞു ഔടുന്നവര് തന്നേ.
16For thus said the Lord unto me: `Within a year, as years of a hireling, Consumed hath been all the honour of Kedar.
16കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം എന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തുകൂലിക്കാരന്റെ ആണ്ടുപോലെയുള്ള ഒരു ആണ്ടിന്നകം കേദാരിന്റെ മഹത്വം ഒക്കെയും ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകും;
17And the remnant of the number of bow-men, The mighty of the sons of Kedar are few, For Jehovah, God of Israel, hath spoken!`
17കേദാര്യ്യരില് വീരന്മാരായ വില്ലാളികളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് ശേഷിക്കുന്നവര് ചുരുക്കമായിരിക്കും; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയല്ലോ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നതു.
