1And Elihu answereth and saith:
1എലീഹൂ പിന്നെയും പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്
2Hear, O wise men, my words, And, O knowing ones, give ear to me.
2ജ്ഞാനികളേ, എന്റെ വചനം കേള്പ്പിന് ; വിദ്വാന്മാരേ, എനിക്കു ചെവിതരുവിന് .
3For the ear doth try words, And the palate tasteth to eat.
3അണ്ണാകൂ ആഹാരത്തെ രുചിനോക്കുന്നു; ചെവിയോ വചനങ്ങളെ ശോധന ചെയ്യുന്നു;
4Judgment let us choose for ourselves, Let us know among ourselves what [is] good.
4ന്യായമായുള്ളതു നമുക്കു തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാം; നന്മയായുള്ളതു നമുക്കു തന്നേ ആലോചിച്ചറിയാം.
5For Job hath said, `I have been righteous, And God hath turned aside my right,
5ഞാന് നീതിമാന് , ദൈവം എന്റെ ന്യായം തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു; എന്റെ ന്യായത്തിന്നെതിരെ ഞാന് ഭോഷകു പറയേണമോ?
6Against my right do I lie? Mortal [is] mine arrow — without transgression.`
6ലംഘനം ഇല്ലാഞ്ഞിട്ടും എന്റെ മുറിവു പൊറുക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഇയ്യോബ് പറഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.
7Who [is] a man like Job? He drinketh scoffing like water,
7ഇയ്യോബിനെപ്പോലെ ഒരാളുണ്ടോ? അവന് പരിഹാസത്തെ വെള്ളംപോലെ കുടിക്കുന്നു;
8And he hath travelled for company With workers of iniquity, So as to go with men of wickedness.
8അവന് ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരോടു കൂട്ടുകൂടുന്നു; ദുര്ജ്ജനങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു.
9For he hath said, `It doth not profit a man, When he delighteth himself with God.`
9ദൈവത്തോടു രഞ്ജനയായിരിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു മനുഷ്യന്നു പ്രയോജനമില്ലെന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.
10Therefore, O men of heart, hearken to me; Far be it from God to do wickedness, And [from] the Mighty to do perverseness:
10അതുകൊണ്ടു വിവേകികളേ, കേട്ടുകൊള്വിന് ; ദൈവം ദുഷ്ടതയോ സര്വ്വശക്തന് നീതികേടോ ഒരിക്കലും ചെയ്കയില്ല.
11For the work of man he repayeth to him, And according to the path of each He doth cause him to find.
11അവന് മനുഷ്യന്നു അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു പകരം ചെയ്യും; ഔരോരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ നടപ്പിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം കൊടുക്കും.
12Yea, truly, God doth not do wickedly, And the Mighty doth not pervert judgment.
12ദൈവം ദുഷ്ടത പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കയില്ല നിശ്ചയം; സര്വ്വശക്തന് ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളകയുമില്ല.
13Who hath inspected for Himself the earth? And who hath placed all the habitable world?
13ഭൂമിയെ അവങ്കല് ഭരമേല്പിച്ചതാര്? ഭൂമണ്ഡലമാകെ സ്ഥാപിച്ചതാര്?
14If He doth set on him His heart, His spirit and his breath unto Him He gathereth.
14അവന് തന്റെ കാര്യത്തില് മാത്രം ദൃഷ്ടിവെച്ചെങ്കില് തന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെയും ശ്വാസത്തെയും മടക്കി എടുത്തെങ്കില്
15Expire doth all flesh together, And man to dust returneth.
15സകലജഡവും ഒരുപോലെ കഴിഞ്ഞുപോകും; മനുഷ്യന് പൊടിയിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിച്ചേരും.
16And if [there is] understanding, hear this, Give ear to the voice of my words.
16നിനക്കു വിവേകമുണ്ടെങ്കില് ഇതു കേട്ടുകൊള്ക; എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകൊള്ക;
17Yea, doth one hating justice govern? Or the Most Just dost thou condemn?
17ന്യായത്തെ പകെക്കുന്നവന് ഭരിക്കുമോ? നീതിമാനും ബലവാനുമായവനെ നീ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കുമോ?
18Who hath said to a king — `Worthless,` Unto princes — `Wicked?`
18രാജാവിനോടുനീ വഷളന് എന്നും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരോടുനിങ്ങള് ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് എന്നും പറയുമോ?
19That hath not accepted the person of princes, Nor hath known the rich before the poor, For a work of His hands [are] all of them.
19അവന് പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ പക്ഷം എടുക്കുന്നില്ല; ദരിദ്രനെക്കാള് ധനവാനെ ആദരിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല; അവരെല്ലാവരും തൃക്കൈയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിയല്ലോ.
20[In] a moment they die, and at midnight Shake do people, and they pass away, And they remove the mighty without hand.
20പെട്ടെന്നു അര്ദ്ധരാത്രിയില് തന്നേ അവര് മരിക്കുന്നു; ജനം കുലുങ്ങി ഒഴിഞ്ഞു പോകുന്നു; കൈ തൊടാതെ ബലശാലികള് നീങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നു.
21For His eyes [are] on the ways of each, And all his steps He doth see.
21അവന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടി മനുഷ്യന്റെ വഴികളിന്മേല് ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നടപ്പു ഒക്കെയും അവന് കാണുന്നു.
22There is no darkness nor death-shade, For workers of iniquity to be hidden there;
22ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാര്ക്കും ഒളിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണ്ടതിന്നു അവിടെ ഇരുട്ടുമില്ല അന്ധതമസ്സുമില്ല.
23For He doth not suffer man any more, To go unto God in judgment,
23മനുഷ്യന് ദൈവസന്നിധിയില് ന്യായവിസ്താരത്തിന്നു ചെല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് അവനില് അധികം ദൃഷ്ടിവെപ്പാന് ആവശ്യമില്ല.
24He breaketh the mighty — no searching! And He appointeth others in their stead.
24വിചാരണ ചെയ്യാതെ അവന് ബലശാലികളെ തകര്ത്തുകളയുന്നു; അവര്ക്കും പകരം വേറെ ആളുകളെ നിയമിക്കുന്നു.
25Therefore He knoweth their works, And He hath overturned by night, And they are bruised.
25അങ്ങനെ അവന് അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ അറിയുന്നു; രാത്രിയില് അവരെ മറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവര് തകര്ന്നുപോകുന്നു.
26As wicked He hath stricken them, In the place of beholders.
26കാണികള് കൂടുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു അവന് അവരെ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെപ്പോലെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.
27Because that against right They have turned aside from after Him, And none of His ways have considered wisely,
27അവര്, എളിയവരുടെ നിലവിളി അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് എത്തുവാനും പീഡിതന്മാരുടെ നിലവിളി അവന് കേള്പ്പാനും തക്കവണ്ണം
28To cause to come in unto Him The cry of the poor, And the cry of the afflicted He heareth.
28അവനെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു പിന്മാറിക്കളകയും അവന്റെ വഴികളെ ഗണ്യമാക്കാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ.
29And He giveth rest, and who maketh wrong? And hideth the face, and who beholdeth it? And in reference to a nation and to a man, [It is] the same.
29വഷളനായ മനുഷ്യന് വാഴാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ജനത്തെ കുടുക്കുവാന് ആരും ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും
30From the reigning of a profane man, From the snares of a people;
30അവന് സ്വസ്ഥത നല്കിയാല് ആര് കുറ്റം വിധിക്കും? ഒരു ജാതിക്കായാലും ഒരാള്ക്കായാലും അവന് മുഖം മറെച്ചുകളഞ്ഞാല് ആര് അവനെ കാണും?
31For unto God hath any said: `I have taken away, I do not corruptly,
31ഞാന് ശിക്ഷ സഹിച്ചു; ഞാന് ഇനി കുറ്റം ചെയ്കയില്ല;
32Besides [that which] I see, shew Thou me, If iniquity I have done — I do not add?`
32ഞാന് കാണാത്തതു എന്നെ പഠിപ്പിക്കേണമേ; ഞാന് അന്യായം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കില് ഇനി ചെയ്കയില്ല എന്നു ആരെങ്കിലും ദൈവത്തോടു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ടോ?
33By thee doth He recompense, That thou hast refused — That thou dost choose, and not I? And what thou hast known, speak.
33നീ മുഷിഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു അവന് നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ പകരം ചെയ്യേണമോ? ഞാനല്ല, നീ തന്നേ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കേണ്ടതല്ലോ; ആകയാല് നീ അറിയുന്നതു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചുകൊള്ക.
34Let men of heart say to me, And a wise man is hearkening to me.
34ഇയ്യോബ് അറിവില്ലാതെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ വാക്കുകളിലും ജ്ഞാനമില്ല എന്നു വിവേകമുള്ള പുരുഷന്മാരും
35Job — not with knowledge doth he speak, And his words [are] not with wisdom.
35എന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കുന്ന ഏതു ജ്ഞാനിയും എന്നോടു പറയും.
36My Father! let Job be tried — unto victory, Because of answers for men of iniquity,
36ഇയ്യോബ് ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെപ്പോലെ പ്രതിവാദിക്കകൊണ്ടു അവനെ ആദിയോടന്തം പരിശോധിച്ചാല് കൊള്ളാം.
37For he doth add to his sin, Transgression among us he vomiteth, And multiplieth his sayings to God.
37അവന് തന്റെ പാപത്തോടു ദ്രോഹം ചേര്ക്കുംന്നു; അവന് നമ്മുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ കൈ കൊട്ടുന്നു; ദൈവത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി വാക്കു വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
