1`Give ye thanks to Jehovah, For good, for to the age [is] His kindness:`
1അഞ്ചാം പുസ്തകം
2Let the redeemed of Jehovah say, Whom He redeemed from the hand of an adversary.
2യഹോവേക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്വിന് ; അവന് നല്ലവനല്ലോ അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കുമുള്ളതു!
3And from the lands hath gathered them, From east and from west, From north, and from the sea.
3യഹോവ വൈരിയുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു വീണ്ടെടുക്കയും കിഴക്കും പടിഞ്ഞാറും വടക്കും കടലിലും ഉള്ള
4They wandered in a wilderness, in a desert by the way, A city of habitation they have not found.
4ദേശങ്ങളില്നിന്നു കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ക്കയും ചെയ്തവരായ അവന്റെ വിമുക്തന്മാര് അങ്ങനെ പറയട്ടെ.
5Hungry — yea — thirsty, Their soul in them becometh feeble,
5അവര് മരുഭൂമിയില് ജനസഞ്ചാരമില്ലാത്ത വഴിയില് ഉഴന്നുനടന്നു; പാര്പ്പാന് ഒരു പട്ടണവും അവര് കണ്ടെത്തിയില്ല.
6And they cry unto Jehovah in their adversity, From their distress He delivereth them,
6അവര് വിശന്നും ദാഹിച്ചും ഇരുന്നു; അവരുടെ പ്രാണന് അവരുടെ ഉള്ളില് തളര്ന്നു.
7And causeth them to tread in a right way, To go unto a city of habitation.
7അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയില് യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവന് അവരെ അവരുടെ ഞെരുക്കങ്ങളില് നിന്നു വിടുവിച്ചു.
8They confess to Jehovah His kindness, And His wonders to the sons of men.
8അവര് പാര്പ്പാന് തക്ക പട്ടണത്തില് ചെല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് അവരെ ചൊവ്വെയുള്ള വഴിയില് നടത്തി.
9For He hath satisfied a longing soul, And a hungry soul hath filled [with] goodness.
9അവര് യഹോവയെ അവന്റെ നന്മയെ ചൊല്ലിയും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരില് ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചൊല്ലിയും സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ.
10Inhabitants of dark places and death-shade, Prisoners of affliction and of iron,
10അവന് ആര്ത്തിയുള്ളവന്നു തൃപ്തിവരുത്തുകയും വിശപ്പുള്ളവനെ നന്മകൊണ്ടു നിറെക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
11Because they changed the saying of God, And the counsel of the Most High despised.
11ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളോടു മത്സരിക്കയും അത്യുന്നതന്റെ ആലോചനയെ നിരസിക്കയും ചെയ്തിട്ടു ഇരുളിലും അന്ധതമസ്സിലും ഇരുന്നു
12And He humbleth with labour their heart, They have been feeble, and there is no helper.
12അരിഷ്ടതയാലും ഇരുമ്പുചങ്ങലയാലും ബന്ധിക്കപ്പെട്ടവര് -
13And they cry unto Jehovah in their adversity, From their distresses He saveth them.
13അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെ അവന് കഷ്ടതകൊണ്ടു താഴ്ത്തി; അവര് ഇടറിവീണു; സഹായിപ്പാന് ആരുമുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.
14He bringeth them out from the dark place, And death-shade, And their bands He draweth away.
14അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയില് യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവന് അവരുടെ ഞെരുക്കങ്ങളില്നിന്നു അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു.
15They confess to Jehovah His kindness, And His wonders to the sons of men.
15അവന് അവരെ ഇരുട്ടില്നിന്നും അന്ധതമസ്സില്നിന്നും പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു; അവരുടെ ബന്ധനങ്ങളെ അറുത്തുകളഞ്ഞു.
16For He hath broken doors of brass, And bars of iron He hath cut.
16അവര് യഹോവയെ, അവന്റെ നന്മയെ ചൊല്ലിയും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരില് ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചൊല്ലിയും സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ.
17Fools, by means of their transgression, And by their iniquities, afflict themselves.
17അവന് താമ്രകതകുകളെ തകര്ത്തു, ഇരിമ്പോടാമ്പലുകളെ മുറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.
18All food doth their soul abominate, And they come nigh unto the gates of death,
18ഭോഷന്മാര് തങ്ങളുടെ ലംഘനങ്ങള് ഹേതുവായും തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങള്നിമിത്തവും കഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു.
19And cry unto Jehovah in their adversity, From their distresses He saveth them,
19അവര്ക്കും സകലവിധ ഭക്ഷണത്തോടും വെറുപ്പുതോന്നി; അവര് മരണവാതിലുകളോടു സമീപിച്ചിരുന്നു.
20He sendeth His word and healeth them, And delivereth from their destructions.
20അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയില് യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവന് അവരെ അവരുടെ ഞെരുക്കങ്ങളില്നിന്നു രക്ഷിച്ചു.
21They confess to Jehovah His kindness, And His wonders to the sons of men,
21അവന് തന്റെ വചനത്തെ അയച്ചു അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി; അവരുടെ കുഴികളില്നിന്നു അവരെ വിടുവിച്ചു.
22And they sacrifice sacrifices of thanksgiving, And recount His works with singing.
22അവര് യഹോവയെ അവന്റെ നന്മയെചൊല്ലിയും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരില് ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചൊല്ലിയും സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ.
23Those going down [to] the sea in ships, Doing business in many waters,
23അവര് സ്തോത്രയാഗങ്ങളെ കഴിക്കയും സംഗീതത്തോടുകൂടെ അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ വര്ണ്ണിക്കയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ.
24They have seen the works of Jehovah, And His wonders in the deep.
24കപ്പല് കയറി സമുദ്രത്തില് ഔടിയവര്, പെരുവെള്ളങ്ങളില് വ്യാപാരം ചെയ്തവര്,
25And He saith, and appointeth a tempest, And it lifteth up its billows,
25അവര് യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെയും ആഴിയില് അവന്റെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെയും കണ്ടു.
26They go up [to] the heavens, they go down [to] the depths, Their soul in evil is melted.
26അവന് കല്പിച്ചു കൊടുങ്കാറ്റു അടിപ്പിച്ചു, അതു അതിലെ തിരകളെ പൊങ്ങുമാറാക്കി.
27They reel to and fro, and move as a drunkard, And all their wisdom is swallowed up.
27അവര് ആകാശത്തിലേക്കു ഉയര്ന്നു, വീണ്ടും ആഴത്തിലേക്കു താണു, അവരുടെ പ്രാണന് കഷ്ടത്താല് ഉരുകിപ്പോയി.
28And they cry to Jehovah in their adversity, And from their distresses He bringeth them out.
28അവര് മത്തനെപ്പോലെ തുള്ളി ചാഞ്ചാടിനടന്നു; അവരുടെ ബുദ്ധി പൊയ്പോയിരുന്നു.
29He establisheth a whirlwind to a calm, And hushed are their billows.
29അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയില് യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവന് അവരെ അവരുടെ ഞെരുക്കങ്ങളില് നിന്നു വിടുവിച്ചു.
30And they rejoice because they are quiet, And He leadeth them to the haven of their desire.
30അവന് കൊടുങ്കാറ്റിനെ ശാന്തമാക്കി; തിരമാലകള് അടങ്ങി.
31They confess to Jehovah His kindness, And His wonders to the sons of men,
31ശാന്തത വന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവര് സന്തോഷിച്ചു; അവര് ആഗ്രഹിച്ച തുറമുഖത്തു അവന് അവരെ എത്തിച്ചു.
32And they exalt Him in the assembly of the people, And in the seat of the elders praise Him.
32അവര് യഹോവയെ അവന്റെ നന്മയെ ചൊല്ലിയും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരില് ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചൊല്ലിയും സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ.
33He maketh rivers become a wilderness, And fountains of waters become dry land.
33അവര് ജനത്തിന്റെ സഭയില് അവനെ പുകഴ്ത്തുകയും മൂപ്പന്മാരുടെ സംഘത്തില് അവനെ സ്തുതിക്കയും ചെയ്യട്ടേ.
34A fruitful land becometh a barren place, For the wickedness of its inhabitants.
34നിവാസികളുടെ ദുഷ്ടതനിമിത്തം അവന് നദികളെ മരുഭൂമിയും
35He maketh a wilderness become a pool of water, And a dry land become fountains of waters.
35നീരുറവുകളെ വരണ്ട നിലവും ഫലപ്രദമായ ഭൂമിയെ ഉവര്ന്നിലവും ആക്കി.
36And He causeth the hungry to dwell there, And they prepare a city of habitation.
36അവന് മരുഭൂമിയെ ജലതടാകവും വരണ്ട നിലത്തെ നീരുറവുകളും ആക്കി.
37And they sow fields, and plant vineyards, And they make fruits of increase.
37വിശന്നവരെ അവന് അവിടെ പാര്പ്പിച്ചു; അവര് പാര്പ്പാന് പട്ടണം ഉണ്ടാക്കുകയും നിലം വിതെക്കയും
38And He blesseth them, and they multiply exceedingly, And their cattle He doth not diminish.
38മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം നട്ടുണ്ടാക്കുകയും നമൃദ്ധിയായി ഫലങ്ങളെ അനുഭവിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.
39And they are diminished, and bow down, By restraint, evil, and sorrow.
39അവന് അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടു അവര് അത്യന്തം പെരുകി; അവരുടെ കന്നുകാലികള് കുറഞ്ഞുപോകുവാന് അവന് ഇടവരുത്തിയില്ല.
40He is pouring contempt upon nobles, And causeth them to wander in vacancy — no way.
40പീഡനവും കഷ്ടതയും സങ്കടവും ഹേതുവായി അവര് പിന്നെയും കുറഞ്ഞു താണുപോയി.
41And setteth on high the needy from affliction, And placeth families as a flock.
41അവന് പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെമേല് നിന്ദപകരുകയും വഴിയില്ലാത്ത ശൂന്യപ്രദേശത്തു അവരെ ഉഴലുമാറാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
42The upright do see and rejoice, And all perversity hath shut her mouth.
42അവന് ദരിദ്രനെ പീഡയില്നിന്നു ഉയര്ത്തി അവന്റെ കുലങ്ങളെ ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടംപോലെ ആക്കി.
43Who [is] wise, and observeth these? They understand the kind acts of Jehovah!
43നേരുള്ളവര് ഇതു കണ്ടു സന്തോഷിക്കും; നീതികെട്ടവര് ഒക്കെയും വായ്പൊത്തും.
44ജ്ഞാനമുള്ളവര് ഇവയെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കും; അവര് യഹോവയുടെ കൃപകളെ ചിന്തിക്കും.
