1Praise ye Jah, give thanks to Jehovah, For good, for to the age, [is] His kindness.
1യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിന് ; യഹോവേക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്വിന് ; അവന് നല്ലവനല്ലോ; അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കും ഉള്ളതു.
2Who doth utter the mighty acts of Jehovah? Soundeth all His praise?
2യഹോവയുടെ വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികളെ ആര് വര്ണ്ണിക്കും? അവന്റെ സ്തുതിയെ ഒക്കെയും ആര് വിവരിക്കും?
3O the happiness of those keeping judgment, Doing righteousness at all times.
3ന്യായത്തെ പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവരും എല്ലായ്പോഴും നീതി പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവനും ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്.
4Remember me, O Jehovah, With the favour of Thy people, Look after me in Thy salvation.
4യഹോവേ, നീ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തവരുടെ നന്മ ഞാന് കാണേണ്ടതിന്നും നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ സന്തോഷത്തില് സന്തോഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും നിന്റെ അവകാശത്തോടുകൂടെ പുകഴേണ്ടതിന്നും
5To look on the good of Thy chosen ones, To rejoice in the joy of Thy nation, To boast myself with Thine inheritance.
5നിന്റെ ജനത്തോടുള്ള കടാക്ഷപ്രകാരം എന്നെ ഔര്ത്തു, നിന്റെ രക്ഷകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ സന്ദര്ശിക്കേണമേ.
6We have sinned with our fathers, We have done perversely, we have done wickedly.
6ഞങ്ങള് ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ പാപം ചെയ്തു; ഞങ്ങള് അകൃത്യവും ദുഷ്ടതയും പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു.
7Our fathers in Egypt, Have not considered wisely Thy wonders, They have not remembered The abundance of Thy kind acts, And provoke by the sea, at the sea of Suph.
7ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് മിസ്രയീമില്വെച്ചു നിന്റെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ഗ്രഹിക്കാതെയും നിന്റെ മഹാദയയെ ഔര്ക്കാതെയും കടല്ക്കരയില്, ചെങ്കടല്ക്കരയില്വെച്ചു തന്നേ മത്സരിച്ചു.
8And He saveth them for His name`s sake, To make known His might,
8എന്നിട്ടും അവന് തന്റെ മഹാശക്തി വെളിപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്റെ നാമംനിമിത്തം അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു.
9And rebuketh the sea of Suph, and it is dried up, And causeth them to go Through depths as a wilderness.
9അവന് ചെങ്കടലിനെ ശാസിച്ചു, അതു ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോയി; അവന് അവരെ മരുഭൂമിയില്കൂടി എന്നപോലെ ആഴിയില്കൂടി നടത്തി.
10And He saveth them from the hand Of him who is hating, And redeemeth them from the hand of the enemy.
10അവന് പകയന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു; ശത്രുവിന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു അവരെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തു.
11And waters cover their adversaries, One of them hath not been left.
11വെള്ളം അവരുടെ വൈരികളെ മൂടിക്കളഞ്ഞു; അവരില് ഒരുത്തനും ശേഷിച്ചില്ല.
12And they believe in His words, they sing His praise,
12അവര് അവന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ വിശ്വസിച്ചു; അവന്നു സ്തുതിപാടുകയും ചെയ്തു.
13They have hasted — forgotten His works, They have not waited for His counsel.
13എങ്കിലും അവര് വേഗത്തില് അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ മറന്നു; അവന്റെ ആലോചനെക്കു കാത്തിരുന്നതുമില്ല.
14And they lust greatly in a wilderness, And try God in a desert.
14മരുഭൂമിയില്വെച്ചു അവര് ഏറ്റവും മോഹിച്ചു; നിര്ജ്ജനപ്രദേശത്തു അവര് ദൈവത്തെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു.
15And He giveth to them their request, And sendeth leanness into their soul.
15അവര് അപേക്ഷിച്ചതു അവന് അവര്ക്കുംകൊടുത്തു; എങ്കിലും അവരുടെ പ്രാണന്നു ക്ഷയം അയച്ചു.
16And they are envious of Moses in the camp, Of Aaron, Jehovah`s holy one.
16പാളയത്തില്വെച്ചു അവര് മോശെയോടും യഹോവയുടെ വിശുദ്ധനായ അഹരോനോടും അസൂയപ്പെട്ടു.
17Earth openeth, and swalloweth up Dathan, And covereth over the company of Abiram.
17ഭൂമി പിളര്ന്നു ദാഥാനെ വിഴുങ്ങി; അബീരാമിന്റെ കൂട്ടത്തെയും മൂടിക്കളഞ്ഞു.
18And fire burneth among their company, A flame setteth on fire the wicked.
18അവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് തീ കത്തി; അഗ്നിജ്വാല ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
19They make a calf in Horeb, And bow themselves to a molten image,
19അവര് ഹോരേബില്വെച്ചു ഒരു കാളകൂട്ടിയെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി; വാര്ത്തുണ്ടാക്കിയ വിഗ്രഹത്തെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു.
20And change their Honour Into the form of an ox eating herbs.
20ഇങ്ങനെ അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ മഹത്വമായവനെ പുല്ലു തിന്നുന്ന കാളയോടു സദ്രശനാക്കി തീര്ത്തു.
21They have forgotten God their saviour, The doer of great things in Egypt,
21മിസ്രയീമില് വലിയ കാര്യങ്ങളും ഹാമിന്റെ ദേശത്തു അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തികളും
22Of wonderful things in the land of Ham, Of fearful things by the sea of Suph.
22ചെങ്കടലിങ്കല് ഭയങ്കരകാര്യങ്ങളും ചെയ്തവനായി തങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവായ ദൈവത്തെ അവര് മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.
23And He saith to destroy them, Unless Moses, His chosen one, Had stood in the breach before Him, To turn back His wrath from destroying.
23ആകയാല് അവരെ നശിപ്പിക്കുമെന്നു അവന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു; അവന്റെ വൃതനായ മോശെ കോപത്തെ ശമിപ്പിപ്പാന് അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് പിളര്പ്പില് നിന്നില്ലെങ്കില് അവന് അവരെ നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളയുമായിരുന്നു.
24And they kick against the desirable land, They have not given credence to His word.
24അവര് മനോഹരദേശത്തെ നിരസിച്ചു; അവന്റെ വചനത്തെ വിശ്വസിച്ചതുമില്ല.
25And they murmur in their tents, They have not hearkened to the voice of Jehovah.
25അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങളില്വെച്ചു പിറുപിറുത്തു; യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേള്ക്കാതെയിരുന്നു.
26And He lifteth up His hand to them, To cause them to fall in a wilderness,
26അതുകൊണ്ടു അവന് മരുഭൂമിയില് അവരെ വീഴിക്കുമെന്നും അവരുടെ സന്തതിയെ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് നശിപ്പിക്കുമെന്നും
27And to cause their seed to fall among nations, And to scatter them through lands.
27അവരെ ദേശങ്ങളില് ചിതറിച്ചുകളയുമെന്നും അവര്ക്കും വിരോധമായി തന്റെ കൈ ഉയര്ത്തി സത്യംചെയ്തു.
28And they are coupled to Baal-Peor, And eat the sacrifices of the dead,
28അനന്തരം അവര് ബാല്പെയോരിനോടു ചേര്ന്നു; പ്രേതങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ള ബലികളെ തിന്നു.
29And they provoke to anger by their actions, And a plague breaketh forth upon them,
29ഇങ്ങനെ അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ക്രിയകളാല് അവനെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചു; പെട്ടെന്നു ഒരു ബാധ അവര്ക്കും തട്ടി.
30And Phinehas standeth, and executeth judgment, And the plague is restrained,
30അപ്പോള് ഫീനെഹാസ് എഴുന്നേറ്റു ശിക്ഷ നടത്തി; ബാധ നിര്ത്തലാകയും ചെയ്തു.
31And it is reckoned to him to righteousness, To all generations — unto the age.
31അതു എന്നേക്കും തലമുറതലമുറയായി അവന്നു നീതിയായിഎണ്ണിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
32And they cause wrath by the waters of Meribah, And it is evil to Moses for their sakes,
32മെരീബാവെള്ളത്തിങ്കലും അവര് അവനെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചു; അവരുടെനിമിത്തം മോശെക്കും ദോഷം ഭവിച്ചു.
33For they have provoked his spirit, And he speaketh wrongfully with his lips.
33അവര് അവന്റെ മനസ്സിനെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവന് അധരങ്ങളാല് അവിവേകം സംസാരിച്ചുപോയി.
34They have not destroyed the peoples, As Jehovah had said to them,
34യഹോവ തങ്ങളോടു നശിപ്പിപ്പാന് കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവര് ജാതികളെ നശിപ്പിച്ചില്ല.
35And mix themselves among nations, and learn their works,
35അവര് ജാതികളോടു ഇടകലര്ന്നു അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ പഠിച്ചു.
36And serve their idols, And they are to them for a snare.
36അവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെയും സേവിച്ചു; അവ അവര്ക്കൊരു കണിയായി തീര്ന്നു.
37And they sacrifice their sons And their daughters to destroyers,
37തങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും അവര് ഭൂതങ്ങള്ക്കു ബലികഴിച്ചു.
38And they shed innocent blood — Blood of their sons and of their daughters, Whom they have sacrificed to idols of Canaan, And the land is profaned with blood.
38അവര് കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത രക്തം, പുത്രീപുത്രന്മാരുടെ രക്തം തന്നേ ചൊരിഞ്ഞു; അവരെ അവര് കനാന്യവിഗ്രഹങ്ങള്ക്കു ബലികഴിച്ചു, ദേശം രക്തപാതകംകൊണ്ടു അശുദ്ധമായ്തീര്ന്നു.
39And they are defiled with their works, And commit whoredom in their habitual doings.
39ഇങ്ങനെ അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ക്രിയകളാല് മലിനപ്പെട്ടു, തങ്ങളുടെ കര്മ്മങ്ങളാല് പരസംഗം ചെയ്തു.
40And the anger of Jehovah Is kindled against His people, And He doth abominate His inheritance.
40അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയുടെ കോപം തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ നേരെ ജ്വലിച്ചു; അവന് തന്റെ അവകാശത്തെ വെറുത്തു.
41And giveth them into the hand of nations, And those hating them rule over them,
41അവന് അവരെ ജാതികളുടെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിച്ചു; അവരെ പകെച്ചവര് അവരെ ഭരിച്ചു.
42And their enemies oppress them, And they are humbled under their hand.
42അവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കള് അവരെ ഞെരുക്കി; അവര് അവര്ക്കും കീഴടങ്ങേണ്ടിവന്നു.
43Many times He doth deliver them, And they rebel in their counsel, And they are brought low in their iniquity.
43പലപ്പോഴും അവന് അവരെ വിടുവിച്ചു; എങ്കിലും അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ആലോചനയാല് അവനോടു മത്സരിച്ചു; തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യംനിമിത്തം അധോഗതിപ്രാപിച്ചു.
44And He looketh on their distress When He heareth their cry,
44എന്നാല് അവരുടെ നിലവിളി കേട്ടപ്പോള് അവന് അവരുടെ കഷ്ടതയെ കടാക്ഷിച്ചു.
45And remembereth for them His covenant, And is comforted, According to the abundance of His kindness.
45അവന് അവര്ക്കായി തന്റെ നിയമത്തെ ഔര്ത്തു; തന്റെ മഹാദയപ്രകാരം അനുതപിച്ചു.
46And He appointeth them for mercies Before all their captors.
46അവരെ ബദ്ധരാക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോയവര്ക്കെല്ലാം അവരോടു കനിവു തോന്നുമാറാക്കി.
47Save us, O Jehovah our God, and gather us from the nations, To give thanks to Thy holy name, To glory in Thy praise.
47ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, ഞങ്ങളെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ; നിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്വാനും നിന്റെ സ്തുതിയില് പ്രശംസിപ്പാനും ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു ഞങ്ങളെ ശേഖരിക്കേണമേ.
48Blessed [is] Jehovah, God of Israel, From the age even unto the age. And all the people said, `Amen, praise Jah!`
48യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്നും എന്നേക്കും വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ; ജനമെല്ലാം ആമേന് എന്നു പറയട്ടെ. യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിന് .
