1A Song of the Ascents. Often they distressed me from my youth, Pray, let Israel say:
1ആരോഹണഗീതം.
2Often they distressed me from my youth, Yet they have not prevailed over me.
2യിസ്രായേല് പറയേണ്ടതെന്തെന്നാല്അവര് എന്റെ ബാല്യംമുതല് പലപ്പോഴും എന്നെ ഉപദ്രവിച്ചു;
3Over my back have ploughers ploughed, They have made long their furrows.
3അവര് എന്റെ ബാല്യംമുതല് പലപ്പോഴും എന്നെ ഉപദ്രവിച്ചു; എങ്കിലും അവര് എന്നെ ജയിച്ചില്ല.
4Jehovah [is] righteous, He hath cut asunder cords of the wicked.
4ഉഴവുകാര് എന്റെ മുതുകിന്മേല് ഉഴുതു; ഉഴവു ചാലുകളെ അവര് നീളത്തില് കീറി.
5Confounded and turn backward do all hating Zion.
5യഹോവ നീതിമാനാകുന്നു; അവന് ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ കയറുകളെ അറുത്തുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.
6They are as grass of the roofs, That before it was drawn out withereth,
6സീയോനെ പകെക്കുന്നവരൊക്കെയും ലജ്ജിച്ചു പിന് തിരിഞ്ഞുപോകട്ടെ.
7That hath not filled the hand of a reaper, And the bosom of a binder of sheaves.
7വളരുന്നതിന്നുമുമ്പെ ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്ന പുരപ്പുറത്തെ പുല്ലുപോലെ അവര് ആകട്ടെ.
8And the passers by have not said, `The blessing of Jehovah [is] on you, We blessed you in the Name of Jehovah!`
8കൊയ്യുന്നവന് അതുകൊണ്ടു തന്റെ കൈയാകട്ടെ കറ്റ കെട്ടുന്നവന് തന്റെ മാര്വ്വിടം ആകട്ടെ നിറെക്കയില്ല.
9യഹോവയുടെ അനുഗ്രഹം നിങ്ങള്ക്കുണ്ടാകട്ടെ; യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തില് ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു എന്നിങ്ങനെ വഴിപോകുന്നവര് പറയുന്നതുമില്ല.
